  1. i'm voting for the aflac duck.
  2. my neighbors had a big yard with a huge gully/ ditch in the backyard. The walls of it were close to vertical, and there was a tree in the middle at the top with a branch hanging over the side. I had just gotten a new bike for christmas- a schwin- the kind my parents would've killed to have as children. anyway, on a dare, i rode my bike down into the gully and got it stuck on the tree branch; I then fell 10 ft to the ground flat on my back and knocked my breath out. Thank God my parents never found out.
  3. i haven't jumped in about a month b/c i've been busy. I've done a lot of tandems, some aff, and i would like to get some more tunnel time... eventually. Lately ive been studying for the gre and that has taken all of my time. thanks for taking the time to read my post. It's nice to know i'm not the only one out there.
  4. I have cp, and one of my left leg is slightly shorter than the right. That being the case, i spin to the left. When i correct the spin, i over correct and roll over on to my back. It's difficult to roll out of bed continuously. Anyone else w/ this problem?
  5. Pirates or ninjas: which is better?
  6. I used to climb, but with where i live, there are no places to climb. on the other hand, the dz is 45 minutes away. besides, i haven't climbed in about three years. I really enjoy skydiving more.

    hi

no offense taken i just love skydiving
  8. to hell w/e mbarrassment man. if a plf keeps you from breaking bones, then it is worth doing one. It saved me. In fact, it was the way I was taught to land. My personal philosophy on landing: arrive alive, and do whatever it takes to prevent injury.

to me, its not about money ( though that is a factor) its about the free fall (hell yeah!) When i stop having fun, Ill stop skydiving.

    hi

four, the release dive took a while to get to. I kept moving my hands around instead of keeping them in neutral, thus causing me to turn. The release went well, once i finally got there. but my landings could be better. This is interms of flying the landing pattern correctly. I always start it too soon.

  13. thanks. I cant wait to get back in the sky.
  14. Two days ago, I did my aff level 3. The dive went well, and I was happy with it. I got under parachute, cleared a line twist (I hate those), and flew tward the playground. The bad part started when I overshot my base line due to turning too hard. That caused me to miss the grass and hit the pavement. I Plfed and got a few cuts. Lessons: No aggressive turns below 1000 ft. always be prepared to Plf- it saved my ass
