it is only a symbol; it is only a peice of cloth, but if people in this culutre want to venerate it, go for it. On the other hand, those in this culture who don't see it that way should be respected too.

Is eating animal crackers inhumane? That reminds me of the age-old question "Do vegetarians eat animal crackers?" That makes me laugh every time. Thread hijack over.

I have to agree although I am an American. After all what is a flag? A peice of cloth, a symbol. I don't intend to disparage our military, but that's the way I see it.

>>After 16 years of dealing with corporate bullshit, I realize that any any time profit or efficiency occurs, it is purely by accident.>>> That's an awesome quote for corperate America; I think I'll steal it, or do you have a trademark on it?

that's so they don't have to blame themselves. It couldn't have been their poor body position during deployment.

hi, I have cp, 26 years old. If you can, Try to get to a wind tunnel. That helps. Do you have any problems throwing your pelvis out? Do you have ok control over your legs when you are lying on your stomach? I, personally, stick my legs out and lock them there, and i fly w/ my upper body. Everone's different. And thats fine. Everyone flies their body differently. But like I said, a wind tunnel may help, if you can make it to one, but talk to the instructors at your local dz. I know mine are helpful. I wish you luck. patrick

I agree with people owning guns, law abiding citizens; it's cool; i grew up around them; my dad was a gun guy. But, seriously, guns like the 50 cal are intended for millitary use. As for you desire for a challenge in shooting one, go for it as long as you do it legally. I dont think you could hunt w/ one of those. I believe in hunting w/ single shot weapons; if you miss, you dont get another chance. But i fully agree with a persons right to disagree with me, or anyone else on this issue, even if he works for the nra. Terrorism, National Security, "be a patriot or the terrorists win" have become this nations latest mindless cliques. " Not to suggest that the terrorist who helped perpetuate the events of 9/11 shouldnt be hanged by their balls and beaten to death by an angry mob of man-hating lesbians who are mensturating. People rarley act based upon facts, and more frequently act based uponn fear and emotion, as you point out. an example is the internment of Japanesse Americans after dec 7 '41 by the same man who said "Those who would give up freedom for safety, deserve neither freedom, nor saftey." My point: let those who want guns, assuming they're law abiding, have them; however let a man have his own opnnion, regardless of the political backlash it generates from the "guns are evil" left. -

just as I said: its in the middle. Moderation. The NRA are gun fanatics to the point that they think they need 50 cal weapons and fully automatic weapons for sport, (well some of them, anyway) Why?. On the otherside, you have the Brady lobyists who think that guns, which are inadimate (sp) objects, can kill. People, not guns, kill. Guns are merely a tool. Without guns there would still be killing. No one in a particular group will march "lock in step", in this case the guy in the nra, with everyone else all the time. I have no problem w/ guns or the right to not own them.
