    At my dz, most of the TM fly the canopy and flare the canopy themselves because they can and don't want the passenger to turn them into the ground, because sometimes they (the passengers) get excited and do stuff.     I tried to explain that to someone also this weekend. I said my rig is July 1999. I have not replaced my reserve ripcord since I had it assembled in Aug, 1999.     Exactly how many would that be? For example, I've had well over 100 experiences with group XYZ and they were all horrible. Are those isolated incidences, even though all experiences were bad.     How freaking closed minded is that man... if that not the hypocrite's definition of racism, I dont know what is..... I can unfortunately relate. I have tried desperatly not to be "judgemental" and in general I'm really not, but when you have several bad experiences with someone from a different place, of a different race, religion, whatever, and have NEVER had a good experience with someone of that race, religion, etc., you get labeled as a racist. I have gone out of my way several times, to try to have a good experience with those groups of people but I have not be successful. p.s. and its not the "minority" group most are thinking of.     I went to a dr once that gave me cough medicine (I never complained about a cough). It was hydromet. Awesome stuff but the directions said to take 1 tbl spoon every 4 hours. I couldn't function after the first dose. How the hell am I suppose to work or drive on this stuff. I only took it at night. He was eventually relieved of duties. He apparently liked to over medicate everyone. I miss him. Now I have a sprained ankle (since May 2). It still hurts like hell and still slightly swollen. All I could get out of the dr. was some vioxx. Well, they stopped working about 5 days later and going to the dr is such a pain in the ass. Enough of my babbling. Feel better soon PhillyKev.     What do you supose would have happened if you didn't have your seat belt on? There are so many things in skydiving that will either save you or kill you or both. I choose to jump with a cypres. I have made about 1/2 my total jumps without a cypres. I decided to get one when I started doing big-ways and then I got my AFF rating and will not do AFF without a rig with a Cypres in it because students get excited and do stuff. I've been kicked more than once. (not in the head, yet). Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

    I've seen them at my local convenience store. The ecstasy users like to play with them. If you have party stores (costumes and stuff) they usually have them or check out the camping section of your local Target or Wal-mart. Good Luck!     I don't think Andie787 was saying you should rely on your cypres. You should only rely on yourself. Cypres is man made and you should be been told during your student training to NEVER rely on yor RSL, and or AAD. You are responsible for your own safety. If you don't feel a cypres is good for you, than don't jump with one. I jump with one because if for any reason I am unconscious, IMO, i have a better chance of survival, than with out a cypres. There are people who have been paralyzed in car accidents, does that mean you should not wear a seat belt just in case you are in a car accident and get paralyzed? Just my 2 cents.     YEAH! a good skydiving story. I like how she did running step (attached to a TM) and flipped UNDER the airplane. None the less, it was an excellent story and I'm not a fan of the media.

    I have that Skydiving Extreme also, and yes, it sucks. Its more like that game Simon says. You to move in the order they give you the "points" using the left side of the controller.     I order diet pop (yes pop) because that is all i have drank for the last 20 years and that way I don't feel so guilty about that big mac. When I drank rum, I would always order bacardi and diet coke, the bartenders would try to slip in reg coke because they think you can't tell the difference. I always sent it back.     We figured he had 2700 calories for lunch. His breakfast is included a sausage biscuit, bag of chips, and 2 candy bars. He is only about 5'11" 215 lbs. judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

    A guy a work with tried to eat 5 quarter pounders with cheese in 4 minutes (money involved, of course). He finshed all 5 but it took 8 minutes. He has managed, so far, to keep them all down. This all started with a GIRL that was able to eat 5 big macs in 5 minutes at a different firm, although we can't seem verfiy. What's your personal best? and for the foreigners, that would be a 5 Royal with Cheese. Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

    It is very unfortunate. It happens here in Memphis at least twice every summer. Kids are left in daycare vans and the drivers aren't checking. about a month ago a 2yr old was left in a daycare van and died. Because this is a frequent occurence down here, the State may FINALLY do something about it. One suggestion was requiring the day care drivers to be outsourced. What's wrong with people?     Why do people have to be such ass's. It sucks when visiting jumpers can give your DZ a bad reputation. I screwed up kinda bad once (cut off a porter on landing) when I had less than 100 jumps. Everyone tried nicely to chew my ass, but when the first person told me what I did, I thought I was going to be grounded. I went and apologized to the pilot who was very very nice to me about it and learned that a porter gets down alot faster than an otter or a cessna. What would any sane jumper have against giving gear checks? Chris, don't ever stop telling these jumpers if they are screwing up.     The commercial says you can get pregnant by smoking pot. I never laughed my ass off so hard the first time I saw that commercial. Last I heard from the Doctor, I had to have sex in order to get pregnant. You can also get pregnant if you dance, or go roller skating (according to the baptists).     There was some discussion on being "qualifed" and "holding" a license when I did my night jumps so many moons ago. The S&TA at almost didn't let me because I didn't "hold" a the license to let me do the jump. I have seen at a few places that do beach jumps that they require a D license (not just water training).
