My widowed mother had a stroke this week. I spent the weekend going through her papers. Sometimes the post office 'forgets' to cancel a stamp on an envelope. You can take the stamp off and glue it onto another envelope to reuse... free postage! Apparently, my mother has been faithfully saving these uncancelled stamps for years. There was an envelope filled with them on her dining room table. Some of them with denominations as low as 27 cents. Why didn't she reuse them? I found that to be poignant. Funny you should mention that. My ex found her first grey hair and actually sat down and cried... Is that sad or what?!!!! I think most women don't fully realize that not all men buy into the mannequin-like look that the media tries to push on us as being the gold standard of beauty. My most recent ex-SO had dark hair with a very few grey hairs. It looked great! She was very insistent on getting her hair colored even though I told her I thought her hair looked great naturally. I never made any kind of issue out of it, but I definitely would have preferred that she stick with her natural coloring. Walt I wonder how many women are ripping their clothes off and thinking, "Come get me, big boy" after reading that (pant, pant, pant). Or is that just me? Oh wait.... isn't this the same guy who said: Uh, where's the "Who cares, just so I get off" answer? ...Nevermind... Voice of experience here... Don't bring him. He'll ruin your fun. You'll spend the whole wedding worrying about him when you should be enjoying the festivities. It's really no fun at all being with someone who is forced to do something. They become really passive aggressive. Explain to the bride that you would rather have your mind on supporting her and not on worrying about him. It should be all about her, not him.
