  1. Generally speaking those who understand macro economics. Are the ones who will leave generous legacies for their loved ones. Its the lower income people who don't own real estate. Don't have estates to leave. So their children will be worse off than their parents. Worse off than this generation. Because they have the dual specter of huge national debts to service. Plus climate change. Its equally argued that the creation of legacy wealth of the current generation. Was raised at the expense of the less well off. Due to capital gains exemptions for homes, business, etc. All as a result of selfish tax laws for the better off. Well debt is a concern. The current levels are sustainable as long as inflation and its associated high interest rates. Are kept low and under control. Canada 89.7%, US 107% are entirely manageable. But Ken's statement about ageing populations is important. Its hard to keep old, rich, old people working in factories.
  2. I'd add: Condemned to the laws, mores, as passed by a minority of voters. Per GOP enabled legislatures and GOP enabled judicial mandates. For fellow believers anything. For nonbelievers, hell and the law.
  3. Farm Subsidy Payments Between Program Years 2014 and 2020 aka the trump years. "The majority of payments went to just eight states – Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Texas. Farmers in those states received more than $41 billion, or 51 percent of the total. " Oh Jerry, it goes way beyond tobacco. So many still believe vote buying doesn't happen.
  4. Agree and both parties are to blame for fostering this debt on your children. i.e. the children of all Americans. Shameful.
  5. Voters like the spending policies of democrats. Voters like the tax policies of republicans.
  6. Well MAGA, trump and the perversions of Woke are killing the Christian religion in America. About time. More and more Christians are leaving the religion. Abandoning the religious ideals that led to the new trump USSC. The abortion positions of the GOP, its gun perversions. All about time. "More Americans also are turning away from Christianity and are seeing themselves as unaffiliated with any religion or as religious "nones," even as some conservative Republicans seek to inject more religion into schools and public life. By the numbers: The nonpartisan Public Religion Research Institute survey of people across the country found that a quarter of Americans (24%) say they've changed religious traditions or denominations over their lifetime or recently. That's a 50% jump from 2021, when 16% said they had switched, the survey found. People who are members of other non-Christian religions (38%) or religiously unaffiliated (37%) were the most likely to say that they had switched from a different religious tradition. About one in four Protestants of color (28%), white evangelical Protestants (25%), and Hispanic Protestants (24%) say they previously practiced or followed another religious tradition. The intrigue: The survey found that the Catholic Church had lost the highest percentage of followers (39%) to the group without a religious affiliation."
  7. Nailed it. Underling wannabe's.
  8. Hell. trump will have MTG and his other MAGA troopers running around in circles this summer. All the witch hunts that the courts and prosecutors are putting Donald through!. They will all need investigating.
  9. As new immigrants to Russia President Putin will help them out. Each will be given a pure white, blue eyed Ukrainian child to raise.
  10. MAGA followers know how corrupt it is. They imagine that Russia is like Washington only without the meddling of any opposition. Laws making it ok to beat LGBTQIA+ undesirables. Long prison terms for those that oppose the privileged ones. They just think they will be among the privileged ones. Lining their pockets, sending those without white skin off on other special operations.
  11. Biden could lose an election against trump- DeSantis. Yep, thats a fact. "Voters are broadly dissatisfied with President Biden’s job... according to a new Washington Post/ABC News poll —In hypothetical general-election matchups, Mr. Biden, who announced his re-election campaign last month, trailed the two leading candidates in the Republican primary, former President Donald J. Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida." The US has full employment. Inflation is declining. GOP weak points- gun control, integrity, etc. Are overshadowed by Biden's age, handling of economy, etc. "In one more sign of the disconnect between desires and political reality, sizable minorities of the voters who said that Mr. Biden wasn’t mentally sharp enough to be president or that Mr. Trump deserved to be criminally charged said they would definitely or probably vote for one of them anyway." How about this scenario? trump gets convicted of a felony, or charged of a couple felonies. DeSantis wins the primary and the election. Or trump gets charged, sells it as a witch hunt and wins. Thus throwing the prosecution into a delay while he is in office.
  12. Rats often attack each other just before the ship sinks. Nothing new here just more of the King Rat mentality in Russia. Where every criminal is out for themselves.
  13. Well I say the same things from time to time. Mostly out of frustration. BIGUN isn't a bigot. There are other republicans as well that swallow their pride and vote republican. Some will go out that same week to do outreach volunteer work. Some today are helping immigrant claimants at the border. More than many democrats. Racist, bigots, etc. I'd go with 20% of the GOP depending on how riled up I am about some latest outrage.
  14. "A fanatical pro-Putin politician was said to be wounded in the strike." From your story. Well there goes Slim's career as a Russian pilot.
  15. President Putin is looking for some new pilots. Signup bonuses in the millions of rubles are offered. Seven new positions opened today alone! "Russian newspaper Kommersant reported that a Russian SU-35 jet and a second Mi-8 helicopter also crashed on May 13, but that report could not immediately be confirmed. Kommersant said an SU-34, SU-35, and two Mi-8 helicopters were part of an air group and that they had been "shot down almost simultaneously" in the Bryansk region. "According to preliminary data, they were all part of the same air group -- the fighters were supposed to deliver a missile and bomb attack on targets in the Chernihiv region of Ukraine, and the helicopters were to secure them, in order to pick up the SU crews if they were shot down by enemy fire," the report said. "All four aircraft failed to return to the airfield. Their pilots are dead," it added." No word yet if a single Ukrainian AA ground crew almost made Ace in one day. Slim! The Zero to Hero Coursehttps://www.flyaxiom.com/zerotohero is waiting for you. Contact your embassy for details.
  16. Ah the good old days back in the 80's when the USSC was for the people. Rather than the Christian right, the billionaires, reproductive freedoms, the gun lobby, the..... Further reading on how lobbying, opaque cash, and good old fashioned selling out judicial integrity....oh you'll just have to read it. and more reading Its really all about how liberals in America go played as fools and how conservatives won the courts. The checkmate in a democracy.
  17. We need a tracker for when you're on the road with a recipe like that. If I drank something that strong. My bowels would be completely flushed out in ten minutes.I'd likely start shaking like a crackhead a day off a fix. I'd need a mouth guard to keep my teeth from chattering like a machine gun. Four shots of Crown would have less effect.
  18. Only for a millisecond was I tempted to google 3D tracking. So thanks for that.
  19. I wonder if they introduced a new class at the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia. In kleptocracy 101.
  20. Perhaps NATO should offer free VPN service to all Russian draftees?
  21. I wonder what component of that over-estimation was from the military industrial complex. How much from politicians. How much from analysts that were just incompetent. The current spending spree by western countries to rearm. To build up their military power. All due to this invasion Involves spending in the 2-3 trillion dollar range. Worldwide $2.24 trillion up 34% last year alone. No word yet if Putin has asked for his weapons back from Assad. You know barrel bombs, etc.
  22. mmmm....NATO membership sooner rather than later. So no Storm Shadows to the Kremlin.
