True, "But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. [7] So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." American voters love republican tax cuts and democrat spending equally. Although they both love military spending. Thats not to say that the entire western world doesn't love piling on debt for their children to pay off. The US is not alone in this regard. But in the last 30 years its shown leadership.

trump had the aim of turning the US into a Hungary state. All that he managed to get cone was hamstring the government with tax cuts and USSC appointments.

Tucker Carlson's latest cheque from Putin has cleared so ""The Kakhovka dam was effectively Russian," Carlson said shortly after his video's introduction. "It was built by the Russian government. It currently sits in Russian- controlled territory. The dam's reservoir supplies water to Crimea, which has been for the last 240 years home of the Russian Black Sea Fleet."..."So really, once the facts start coming in, it becomes much less of a mystery what might have happened to the dam, and a fair person would conclude that the Ukrainians probably blew it up, just as you would assume they blew up Nord Stream, the Russian natural gas pipeline last fall," Carlson continued. "And in fact, the Ukrainians did do that, as we now know." via Twitter broadcast.

Sounds like a couple ounces of 21 year old El Dorado is warranted. Or in my case a couple ounces of Kirkland Signature Original Spiced Rum. I have to go easy because there is still Georgia election fixing, the hush money, the capital riots. etc, etc.

Biden just doesn't have the chutzpah that trump has when it concerns spending money. "The national debt has risen by almost $7.8 trillion during Trump’s time in office. That’s nearly twice as much as what Americans owe on student loans, car loans, credit cards and every other type of debt other than mortgages, combined, according to data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. It amounts to about $23,500 in new federal debt for every person in the country." a WP, ProPublica story.

Belief in man made climate change declining
Phil1111 replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
Well in the Happy Valley Area As of 4 a.m. on June 8, Harrisburg ranked a 476 on the Air Quality Index, which only goes to 500. and Canadian wildfire smoke impacts visibility for Pennsylvania pilots Perhaps its pilots can get radar vectors from ATC to the spot to keep jumpers in PA. No word yet as to how many loads were cancelled and how many students cancelled jumping because of climate change. Perhaps the DZ operator will offer free ground and in the air oxygen to keep people around. -
Normally I would not quote the Daily Mail. But a just reported story about how Russian government sources reported destroying Leopard tanks already. was first criticized by Yevgeny Prigozhin. Was reported in several online sources who all got the story, the targets and what farm equipment was hit all wrong. It showed ATGM missile strikes from helicopters on both combines and sprayers. Most sources misidentified them all as tractors. The Daily Mail screwed it up a little but the two strikes and the two different types of farm equipment are correct in the linked story. At least Slim and Putin were happy about what they were told by the Russian air force generals. No word yet if the Air Farce generals had fallen out of any windows.

Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers
Phil1111 replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
"McFadden( a trump appointee) has condemned the Jan. 6 riot as a “national embarrassment,” while also suggesting that the Justice Department was being too hard on those who broke into the Capitol compared with the people arrested during racial injustice protests following George Floyd’s 2020 murder." ,,," Judge: Nonviolent Jan. 6 defendants shouldn’t get ‘serious jail time’ A Trump appointee disputes that Capitol breach cases are unique, stirring a debate over how to hold individuals accountable in mass crime." When populism gets some judges into the legal system the natural outcome is a banana split. Right wing judges giving easy sentences until they can be pardoned. Independent judges recognizing the crimes for what they are. -
Even not great countries. Poland, Hungary, Turkey are all NATO members with populist governments. Israel is headed that way. I'd say that the US had a brush with populism with the USSC as the lasting residual of it. Wave the flag, attack a free press, rally the message against imagined enemies and state that only you have the easy answers.

Isn't all that taught on Sunday afternoons?

Joe may have been right and the Ukrainians might have stolen Canada's F-18s. 'High-level international negotiations are continuing between Australia, Ukraine, and the United States over the fate of the decommissioned fighter aircraft, in what could become this country's largest-ever single transfer of military equipment to a foreign power. The Royal Australian Air Force's fleet of Boeing "Classic" Hornets were retired in late 2021 after almost 40 years of service, which included bombing missions in the Middle East against Islamic State." So the jets are experienced in bombing terrorist states. Which is very useful when bombing Russians.

Chris Christie has accurately defined the GOP America" "Kushner served in his father-in law’s administration as an adviser who was tasked with policy in the Middle East. Kushner incorporated Affinity in Delaware in January 2021, shortly after former President Trump left office. Six months later, he received the $2 billion investment, according to the House committee. “You think it’s because he’s some kind of investing genius? Or do you think it’s because he was sitting next to the president of the United States for four years doing favors for the Saudis?” Christie asked on Tuesday. “That’s your money. That’s your money he stole and gave it to his family. You know what that makes us? A banana republic.”

Which takes into account the covid pandemic, crack epidemic, gun violence, poor health care for non-whites, non-existent health care for the poor, etc. Factor in a personal doctor for the president and the outcomes are very different. Plug yourself into the conservative echo chamber. A Black, woman VP? Joe Biden's massive collection of infirmities and diseases? vrs a Big Mac chomping overweight trump who knows more about health and medicine than any doctor ever born. "All in all, and not including the fries, the president's double order of both sandwiches plus the milkshake cost him 2,430 calories, 111 grams of fat (39 g saturated fat, 3 g trans fat), 3,480 mg sodium, 238 g carbs (11 g fiber, 102 g sugar), and 98 g protein. To put these numbers into perspective, that's more calories and 1,180 more milligrams of sodium than the FDA recommends the average person should eat in an entire day! Not to mention, the amount of sugar in this meal contains double the sweet stuff of the FDA's per diem recommendation of 50 grams." Of course trump comes out on top.

So the PGA has been sold to MBS so the Saudi government can prop up its reputation. Greenwash its oil money. When MBS started LIV golf trump was one of his supporters. The PGA trotted out 9/11 families to talk about how bad LIV was and how anything to do with the Saudi government was not in the interests to the PGA, to golf. Lawsuits were flying back and forth. "The move — which will unify the PGA Tour, LIV and the Europe-based DP World Tour into a single entity — may also help the 45th president, whose course in Bedminster, NJ, was supposed to host last year’s PGA Championship until the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot....Four days later, the PGA of America announced it would move its tournament away from Trump’s New Jersey course. The championship was ultimately contested at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla. The R&A, which organizes the British Open, announced the following day that it would not hold any of its championships at Trump’s Turnberry resort in Scotland “in the foreseeable future.” Now with generous Saudi cash. LIV golf has effectively bought control of the PGA. The only question is if PGA members will kick out its president who made the deal and cancel it.

A quick recap of failed climate predictions
Phil1111 replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
Should your intellect and education not be applied to pursuing positions supported by facts? "Failed climate predictions" is akin to water cooler talk about how bad local meteorologists got the weekend rainfall. You know how this topic is going to end don't you? Billvon and others will supply accurate quotes from reputable sources. You will deny the obvious. Then start another thread on this same subject two weeks later. -

I think its more telling that his base is following now and will still follow post convictions. Sadly Jerry there will be a poll that still shows 30% "only trump". Indictment turbocharges Trump’s fundraising -
A quick recap of failed climate predictions

Its cruel when trolling so confuses the weak minded. Is there any chance he will forget and move onto "mo guns save mo lives". -
All moot points for republicans. He would be making fun of one of America's greatest leaders FDR, for being in a wheelchair. Calling him unfit for leadership. Just as he would peddle the same conservative talking points about Stephen Hawking. Bragging about how he and Donald Duck was smarter.

Shelling civilians, shelling cities. They did it in Chechnya, did it in Ukraine and now in Belograd. They must teach those tactics in the Military Academy of the General Staff in Russia. Don't worry about targeting generals or leadership buildings. Just level the whole city. Where is Slim to explain the Slavic logic of these tactics. Oh yeah, he got called back to the front. Perhaps leveling the city helps prevent looting and deserters from taking shelter as well.

Putin sent an urgent message to Wagner's Prigozhin. "The Ukrainians have started their offensive, how far have they penetrated?" Prigozhin replied "They are already deep in our rear"

There is a little business school that you may have heard of. They have articles that are FREE that can teach you things about business that FOX and truth social can't. Here is one just for you: We’re Entering the Age of Corporate Social Justice is discusses the idea that building a brand and a corporate identity is important. In the boardrooms of large corporations. FOX excepted of course. Corporations develop a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Here is your lesson for the day and a quote from the aforementioned story: "Corporate Social Justice requires deep integration with every aspect of the way a company functions." Some dropzones have similar programs. Although free jumps for minorities are likely not a part of that. ALL likely put safety foremost, profitability second, training, etc.in order of importance. The quote above in reference to a DZ. Would be a DZ that ignores every FAR and passes out a cold brew on the way to altitude on the last jump of the day.

and some who do both like Jerry & Joe in SC from Oregon. A big problem in America is the tremendous amount of negative, pandering politics. Like many captains President Biden has a team around him to assist him. The poisoned narrative surrounding anything from Washington limits good news. Team doesn't exist for trump. For most of the rest of the presidential candidates. The MAGA base is the elephant in the china shop. America is leading the opposition to the Russian invasion. America is leading the opposition to Xi's aggressive China policies. Republican leaders have no cohesive foreign policy Everything about spending on the federal side is passed by a vote in Washington. American voters love the spending and love to receive the benefits of the spending. Then republicans like to criticize everything about the spending. Except the spending on the military.

I've heard that Putin's approval rating is off the charts.

The lies that recent SC justices committed with regards to confirmation hearings and abortion. The blatant partisanship of recent appointees are all components. Republicans are to blame and they are the winners in the USSC wars. Dems are to blame for stupidity in not recognizing that the USSC is a battleground. Lets go back a year to Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Senate confirmation hearings. Bring on Ted Cruz: "the second day of Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Senate confirmation hearings, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, asked the esteemed jurist whether she believed that “babies are racist.”..."There were the nonexistent racist babies, along with fantastical babies that had been deemed racists, presumably by woke mobs. They were joined by nonexistent children harmed by sex offenders — whom Jackson had, according to Republican questioning, fought to set free. (She had not.) Then there was an appearance by the imagined specters of cis girls harmed by the presence of trans girls on their sports teams, summoned on the first day of hearings by Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn." Abortion, guns, woke, public safety, etc. are all now in the hands of a christian right wing USSC. Democrats can pull their hair out, cry and moan. Nothing is going to change until the makeup of the court changes because the "justices" are not subject to review and they damn well know it.
