  1. Stormy Daniels' lawyer: Cohen was paid $500K by Putin-tied company after election Stormy Daniels’s attorney Michael Avenatti said Tuesday that President Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen received $500,000 in the months after the 2016 election from a company run by a Russian oligarch with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin. http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/386802-stormy-daniels-lawyer-cohen-may-have-used-money-from-putin-tied Avenatti released a report with preliminary findings about the bank account he says Cohen used to make the payment to Daniels. That account was made in the name of the company Cohen created to transfer the money to Daniels, Essential Consultants, LLC. The report states that Cohen’s account received roughly $500,000 in payments from Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg. Those payments were made from January to August 2017. “Mr. Cohen inexplicably accepted these payments while he was the personal attorney to the President and holding himself out at times as employed by the Trump Organization (with few other clients),” the report reads. “This was occurring at the same time significant questions were being raised relating to (a) the involvement of Russia and Vladimir Putin in the 2016 Presidential Election and (b) the extent of the relationship between Mr. Putin and Mr. Trump." The report also claims that the bank account received payments totally nearly $400,000 from global pharmaceutical company Novartis, and noted that Trump reportedly had a dinner meeting in Switzerland with the Novartis CEO shortly afterward the transactions were made. This is the Cohen allegations according to Avenatti: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pskgpwr15r48tx5/Executive%20Summary.pdf?dl=0 Now, there has been a recent push by trump and republicans including their spokespeople at Fox News. To shut down the Mueller investigation. Mueller is of course on top of this development already: Who Is Viktor Vekselberg? Russian Oligarch Reportedly Questioned in Mueller Probe http://www.newsweek.com/who-viktor-vekselberg-russian-oligarch-reportedly-questioned-mueller-probe-911931 Another nothing burger sizzling on the stove, presidential tweets soon to follow.
  2. Is that how the liberals think? That Kim Jong Un is a better person than Donald Trump? I wouldn't know I'm a McCain conservative. But the attributes aforementioned regarding trump are all well documented.
  3. Well done. I look forward to reading about your second year of success. And no doubt that you will make it. +1, Drugs, alcohol, gambling and other addictions destroy everything great about life.
  4. Not really replying to your post, more the thread in general. Lets all focus on the two negotiators here. One is a jingoistic, nationalist, liar, well known for breaking agreements and treaties, etc. The other is Kim. Lets all not get ahead of ourselves.
  5. Simmer down... It's the way these liberals are. It's like arguing with flat earthers. They don't ever stop until you do. Just have to wait until things happen or blow up in their faces. It is starting to blow up in their faces! But they can't see it. And you ever notice that the closer we get the things being finalized and Truth being there that they want to ban somebody because they can't afford to continue the conversation. As long as we maintain civilized, they won't ban us. However, you know, this site ain't no democracy. But, at least its better moderated than Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, who like to suppress conservative views but let libtard views run rampant. Stop the drama. Nobody is banning you two. Oh let them be!. Its all part of the pseudo-christian, Battle of Thermopylae, Valley of Death, Alamo, etc. mentality whereby the last true conservatives are holding backs the hoards of west coast liberals.

Abandoning Iranian Nuclear Deal Could Lead to New Wave of Cyberattacks http://foreignpolicy.com/2017/10/02/abandoning-iranian-nuclear-deal-could-lead-to-new-wave-of-cyberattacks/ What could Iran do if Trump pulls out of nuclear deal? https://www.reuters.com/article/us-iran-nuclear-scenarios/what-could-iran-do-if-trump-pulls-out-of-nuclear-deal-idUSKBN1I427E "Iranian leaders have consistently threatened that U.S. reimposition of sanctions or withdrawal from the deal would result in rapid development of the nuclear program.... Driving a wedge between Washington and Europe. In August, nuclear official Salehi promised that "if the Americans cast the deal aside, it is highly likely that Europe won't follow suit, [and] America will remain alone." And while there was a schism in the Democratic Party, still raw from the presidential primary battle, one man has risen and shown that his leadership alone is powerful enough to unite the Democratic Party. That is President Donald trump. Republicans John Kasich

A quick Google search yielded: 1. https://www.bls.gov/ 2. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/year-one-list-81-major-trump-achievements-11-obama-legacy-items-repealed America is going back to work again. America is seeing that national security can be a reality. Israel is experiencing a greater sense of partnership as our ally. On a personal note, in my community, we have ceased complaining about the president. Now we laugh at the insane stupidity of the MSM. And, we pray that they do not win out. We understand the evil spirits at work in America. In many aspects, primarily abortion, we recognize our suffering for sin. But, for now, at this time, President Trump is the leader this nation needs. We thank God for him. 11. Nope! You have no understanding of his Constitutional Powers. And you just proved it here! Why don’t you educate us as to your understanding when you post something like this? Because it's not my job to to stop others from showing their ignorance! See - this is why I think you’re a troll and should be banned. You’re on a discussion board. Replying ‘no!’ Or ‘you’re wrong’ to a post without providing reasoning is a cowardly way of posting. You don’t have the courage or respect to put your reasoning up for analysis because you’re afraid you’ll get torn to pieces as usual... Once again you prove you have no interest in discussion and should be ignored. +1 rushmc is obviously a troll. Ban or ignore. Kudos to him or her for keeping it going so long, though - good trolling effort 👍 Not everyone is either qualified or skilled to explain conflicts of facts and "feelings". When such conflicts arise and are irrational. Or too difficult to prose when feelings are the dominate characteristic of thought. Marc's posts are the result. As such, we should not be too hard on him. It provides valuable insight into the feelings of trump voters.
  12. You mean you're unable to support your opinion? Made the English easier to comprehend for native English speakers. Meanwhile for some of his supporters here is a brief summary of trump's job creation program to date: Five legal headaches facing Trump http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/386305-five-legal-headaches-facing-trump -Robert Mueller -Michael Cohen -Stormy Daniels -Summer Zervos -Emoluments
  13. No spin needed. prison for Manafort. Mueller already has the goods on trump. With lawyers as good as Giuliani in charge. You and your hero can both sleep safely at night. Soon trump and all his buddies can be together again:
  14. Oh come on Ron. A lawyer is the only person who would invite you out for lunch. Then bill you for the lunch, his hourly rate, travel expenses to the lunch, his parking fees, gratuity and then add the "office supplies" surcharge on it all.
  15. That may not be the case. Who knows what other co-operation he made with ATF or prosecutors.
  16. Thats why misconduct by Pruitt keeps getting leaked to the press. Like the WH, like the EPA. Pruitt had travel wishlist and asked staff to find ‘official’ reasons to go: report Four EPA officials familiar with Pruitt's travel arrangements tell the newspaper that Pruitt created the list shortly after taking office last year and directed aides to plan official visits to countries on the list while finding official EPA business to rationalize the travel. In some cases, those trips were planned for months with the help of influential Washington, D.C., lobbyists, the Post reports, raising further questions about Pruitt's use of taxpayer funds and proximity to lobbyists who may have business before the agency. In the case of one cancelled trip to Israel, the trip was reportedly organized by Republican megadonor Sheldon Adelson. Two Democratic senators sent a letter on Thursday to Pruitt demanding information about “the role Mr. Adelson or other non-governmental officials played" in planning that trip, the Post said. Another incident in Morocco also showed Pruitt's tendency to let high-profile friends in on EPA business. A trip to Morocco, planned by longtime Pruitt friend and lobbyist Richard Smotkin, resulted in Smotkin joining Pruitt for "multiple" events including a meeting with one of Morocco's business leaders. Smotkin would later go on to sign a lobbying agreement with Morocco's government. Critics point to this as blatant evidence of Pruitt using his office to promote his friends' business interests. http://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/386184-pruitt-had-travel-wishlist-and-asked-staff-to-find-official-reasons Its no wonder trump has supported Pruitt so much. Co-mingling government and private business for personal profit. Pruitt is probably teaching the trump family some new angles.

Boone said he couldn't specify what type of maintenance the aircraft underwent." https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/03/us/military-plane-crash-savannah-georgia/index.html
  18. Once again Rush, what exactly does the Mueller investigation have to do with ‘the left’? The investigation was commissioned by Republicans, is being overseen by Republicans, and Mueller is a Republican. How do you make work the narrative that it’s all a democrat plot? Thats a tough one for Marc. ...Calling Fox and Friends, Calling Hannity! ..Just in... they've all gone rogue. Like cancer cells they need to be terminated.
  19. Its all part of Giuliani's new strategy. Bury Washington, the swamp, so deep in lies that a jury will collectively die of old age. Before the case is fully laid out at trial. At the same time run Cohen over with a M-1 tank.
  20. If "Might was right" and economic interests were the MO of the US it would own Kuwait, Iran, and every other country where US troops have occupied the capitals. They would have entrenched dictators and constitutions that enabled dictators to operate. You seem to view the UK and the US through an opaque window. That distorts the rainbow of all international relations, actions, into black and white. Where the UK's Iranian actions are: https://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/04/opinion/sunday/irans-first-great-satan-was-england.html Hey, history has moved on. Today Japan, Germany are among the US's best allies. Blaming the US for the worlds problems. Is the MO of Cuba, Russia, Iran, N. Korea. Even Vietnam has moved on. Your thinking should include both sides of a historical perspective on the use of boogymen. i.e. the USA. ...and the UK.
  21. Who is Michael Caputo and What Can He Tell Us? https://washingtonmonthly.com/2017/05/21/who-is-michael-caputo-and-what-can-he-tell-us/ A former Trump campaign aide,Michael Caputo, former Trump communications adviser. Was interviewed by Mueller and said: -the probe is “still really focused on Russia collusion.” -“They know more about the Trump campaign than anyone who ever worked there,” -”The Senate and the House are net fishing,”...“The special counsel is spearfishing. They know what they are aiming at and are deadly accurate.” http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/385958-ex-trump-aide-mueller-is-still-really-focused-on-russian-collusion Is there any doubt that according to trump's Chief of Staff, General Kelly has said that trump is "becoming unhinged".
  22. Not sure what you mean by that. The 79 revolution was driven by fundamentalist Shia. But I was referring to the coup in 53 that deposed the democratically elected prime minister and installed the Shah. Mossadegh was trying to implement real democratic reform. And he nationalized the oil industry, thinking that oil that came out of Iranian soil ought to generate income for the Iranians. That oil money was the prime reason the US & UK overthrew him. Pretty much destroying democracy in Iran from then until... Now. I can't say that the democratic reforms would have happened. Or if they happened, if they would have continued. But the coup put the Shah into power, and his brutality was a driving force for the Shia fundies and Khomeni. Correct. Oil interests were the motivation of a UK-US counter-democratic coup. I was thinking of Shia clerics which have shown to be the equal of the Shah in corruption and oppression. "tabulation by Emadeddin Baghi, a researcher at the Martyrs Foundation (Bonyad Shahid) found a far lower number of casualties. Baghi found that between 1963 and 1979, there were 3164 dead among the anti-Shah movement... One explanation for the low number of casualties is the shah's reluctance to use force. The shah "frequently" insisted to "foreign emissaries" that he was "unwilling to massacre his subjects in order to save his throne." `"The instructions I gave were always the same: "do the impossible to avoid bloodshed."`... Amnesty International documented 2,946 executions in the 12 months following Bani-Sadr's impeachment. A list compiled the following year by the Mojahedin-e Khalq cited 7,746 persons who had lost their lives through executions, in street battles, or under torture in the short period from June 1981 to September 1983.[31] According to historian Ervand Abrahamian, revolutionary courts executed more than 8000 opponents between June 1981 and June 1985. These were mainly members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq, but also included Fedayins and Kurds as well as Tudeh, National Front, and Shariatmadari supporters. ... Thus the toll taken among those who had participated in the revolution was far greater than that of royalists. This revolution — like others — had devoured its own children.[32] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Iranian_Revolution
  23. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. "The earliest known expression of this concept is found in a Sanskrit treatise on statecraft, the Arthashastra, which dates to around the 4th century BC" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_enemy_of_my_enemy_is_my_friend The US needs to learn from these mistakes. The Shah was supported because Iran, was and still is a powerful country. The Shah was under attack by a revolution driven by fundamentalist Shia clerics. Who are as dangerous today as they were then. US policy needs to have a more moral center.Sure. But the world has some tough actors. Putin, Erdogan, Kim, Duterte and others. Sometimes a sub rosa operation to move bad actors in the right direction shouldn't be discounted. and Panama, Libya, Balkans(Bosnia and Herzegovina), Grenada, Kuwait, Syria.
  24. jakee does make a point and the counter-narrative goes like this: http://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/378794-time-for-the-us-to-end-democracy-promotion-flim-flams The narrative however where the US is the bully. Where dictators are supported Carte blanche. Is simply not the net of US long term support of democracies. Yes, the attached story is not pretty. The Shah of Iran was no prince for responsible rule. Sometimes politics, regional wars, religious wars, communism, etc. Results in imperfect policy. Results in policy that is plain wrong. Undemocratic. I'm not defending it. Jakee has a point and I concede it above. Net, the US is not as pure as Sweden, Norway; https://sites.tufts.edu/reinventingpeace/2017/12/12/swedens-proposed-democracy-criterion-for-arms-exports-taking-the-lead-in-export-controls-or-new-words-for-old-policies/ But a net suppressor of democracy. NO
  25. WRONG Germany, Japan, post WW2. The Marshall Plan. - Support of the UN, its budget(22% overall). - Almost exclusively brought about the end of communism, the USSR, the end of the Cold War. The US is a flawed democracy this is a good summary as to how the democratic institutions in the US have suffer in the last decade. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2018/03/america-is-not-a-democracy/550931/ Democracy in Crisis https://freedomhouse.org/report/freedom-world/freedom-world-2018 Although not a totally impartial source. The above suggests that the US is not the only country with democracy issues.
