For everyone except trump supporters: Trump lashed out at aides after seeing Melania's Air Force One television tuned to CNN: report http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/398712-trump-lashed-out-at-aides-after-seeing-melanias-air-force-one 11 Warning Signs of Gaslighting Gaslighting is a manipulation tactic used to gain power. And it works too well. "Gaslighting is a tactic in which a person or entity, in order to gain more power, makes a victim question their reality. It works much better than you may think. Anyone is susceptible to gaslighting, and it is a common technique of abusers, dictators, narcissists, and cult leaders. Not quite. Right-wingers once again win when it comes to upholding the constitution of this great country. The document that the Democrats and the leftist Socialist have come to despise.what is the exact wording again ? Isn’t it written something like: well organised militia ? Show us how the militia is organised then... I live close to the area where the UMWA was formed. When government sanctioned strike breakers and Pinkertons arrived to put people in their places they found a well armed citizenry ready for them. Otherwise, coal miners would have never been allowed to unionize and make a decent living for themselves and their families. Today Pinkerton wears a different uniform: https://www.google.com/search?q=trump%27s+union+busting&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b

George Will charges that Trump colluded with Putin http://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/397821-george-will-charges-that-trump-colluded-with-putin In George Will’s latest column, the conservative columnist charged collusion between Trump and Putin: “We shall learn from special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation whether in 2016 there was collusion with Russia by members of the Trump campaign. The world, however, saw in Helsinki something more grave — ongoing collusion between Trump, now in power, and Russia. The collusion is in what Trump says (refusing to back the United States’ intelligence agencies) and in what evidently went unsaid (such as: You ought to stop disrupting Ukraine, downing civilian airliners, attempting to assassinate people abroad using poisons, and so on, and on).”... It raises profoundly ominous questions about why Trump refused to permit any senior American to attend this meeting, what may have been discussed in this meeting and whether any secret deals may have been reached that were kept secret from the secretary of State, secretary of Defense, national security adviser and White House chief of staff.... Will is trying to defend America from Putin, and to save conservatism from Trump, and for that, patriotic Americans and principled conservatives should be eternally grateful. Yeah, namely this: Putin Tells Diplomats He Made Trump a New Offer on Ukraine at Their Summit. What this boils down to is that he proposes there be a vote within the region. FROM THE HELSINKI SUMMIT: REPORTER (Jonathan Lemire from AP): A question for President Putin, thank you. Two questions for you, sir. Can you tell me what President Trump may have indicated to you about officially recognizing Crimea as part of Russia? PUTIN: President Trump — well, the posture of President Trump on Crimea is well known and he stands firmly by it. He continues to maintain that it was illegal to annex it. Our viewpoint is different. We held a referendum in strict compliance with the UN Charter and international legislation. For us this issue --we put [unintelligible] to this issue. AND Trump's quote about Crimea: “Crimea is Russian because everyone who lives there speaks Russian.” Which RT did not hesitate to capitalize upon: https://www.rt.com/usa/429778-trump-crimea-is-russia/ I would not be surprised if we soon see some very quick action in that region as Putin transitions from conflicted control, to issuing a referendum which he will control, to defacto control. In 1994, Ukraine signed an agreement with the U.S., the UK and Russia under which it gave up its nuclear arsenal in return for certain assurances. NPR's Arun Rath speaks with Steven Pifer, former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, about the agreement. "STEVEN PIFER: When the Soviet Union collapsed, Ukraine had on its territory the world's third largest nuclear arsenal. It was bigger than Britain, France and China combined. And the Ukrainians were prepared to eliminate that arsenal to transfer the warheads to Russia for their dismantlement, but the Ukrainians asked for certain things. And one was security assurances that the United States and Russia would pay attention and respect Ukraine's independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, that there would be no use of force or threat of force against Ukraine." https://www.npr.org/2014/03/09/288298641/the-role-of-1994-nuclear-agreement-in-ukraines-current-state above from: The Role Of 1994 Nuclear Agreement In Ukraine's Current State Now trump wants his word as bond with Kim of NK to do the same thing. What I find interesting here Bill is that if I had asked the same of somebody in the same way in this thread you would have threatened me with a ban. IMO I just wanted to make sure we weren't ganging up on someone that was bipolar. I used to work in mental health and your comments often display hints of schizophasia. Nightly on the major news channels. One or more of them goes into the "heart of America" to interview trump supporters. Sadly the results are the same. After scouring the diners, tire repair shops etc. They find trump supporters, like Marc. Either they get only Fox news, or no news at all. But they still support the traitor in chief, trump. "A majority of registered voters, 59 percent, agree with the conclusions of U.S. intelligence agencies that Russia attempted to influence the U.S. election, the Reuters/Ipsos poll found. But only 32 percent of Republicans think that is true" Majority of Americans think Trump mishandling Russia: Reuters/Ipsos poll https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-russia-voters/majority-of-americans-think-trump-mishandling-russia-reuters-ipsos-poll-idUSKBN1K72T1 The cult lives on. Thirty two percent of Americans think Russia never even tried to influence the election.

"When we reviewed Trump’s voter registration in the 10 years leading up to the present, from 2005 to 2015, we found that he has been a Republican for more than five years. He was a registered Democrat for not quite four years in that time frame. The statement is partially accurate but leaves out important details or takes things out of context. We rate it Half True." http://www.politifact.com/florida/statements/2015/aug/24/jeb-bush/bush-says-trump-was-democrat-longer-republican-las/ Just don't tell Marc. He and Ron may have simultaneous panic attacks.

Or some combination thereof. Which is a very big reason we will likely never see Trump's income taxes. Too much money from questionable sources. Its looking more likely that either a jury or Senate committee will see it.

Agree. You don't trust the government. BUT, checks and balances. Combined with a free press, free elections and term limits. Will always be the way to keep corruption and government excess, under control. Sooner or later, the courts will weigh in on "fake news", fake facts, high crimes and misdemeanors. When politicians stop going to prison. Then you have to worry. No, all politicians are not corrupt. Not all of them lie. The average voter has no idea of the BS that they put up with dealing with the public. Well before the time of Plato, of Socrates, the French revolution and the US constitution. The ways and means of keeping kings and queens, honest. How to structure honest courts. Has been debated by people. Ten millennium, from now, the same debate will continue.

From: The Conversation is an independent, not-for-profit media outlet that uses content sourced from academics and researchers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Conversation_(website) Americans distrusted US democracy long before Trump’s Russia problem http://theconversation.com/americans-distrusted-us-democracy-long-before-trumps-russia-problem-100082 "According to a July 2018 Brown University opinion poll, only 16 percent of Americans truly believe their vote matters. Just 4 percent think the government listens to their opinion. News of Russia’s meddling may have inflamed anti-government sentiment, but skepticism about U.S. democracy is not a new phenomenon. ... Displeasure with American democracy continued to rise for the next three decades, reaching an all-time high under President Bill Clinton. His administration started with a flurry of scandals. There was 1992’s “Travelgate,” when the White House fired its travel planners for mismanaging funds, followed by the Whitewater investigation into Hillary Clinton’s real estate dealings... But the lessons of the past 66 years suggest that highly visible scandals do lead public dissatisfaction with government to rise. The Watergate era triggered record growth in Americans’ collective dissatisfaction with government. That record could still be broken. " The article is a good read and so is the one below about Rod Rosenstein. Is he going to be the real hero of the Russia investigations. The one to restore trust in democracy and the rule of law? Are you Americans crazy enough to put Donald Trump in office?

I agree. Israel's hard line leaders in Likud. Don't help the situation. See it had to happen, we agree on something. -
Why is Russia the most dangerous country in the world to be an independent (opposition) journalist? (yes, this is a rhetorical question) I assume thats directed at Bob. In the greater context of debate. Its not that Russia, or more accurately the Russian people are the enemy. They are like the cultists of trump. They are kept in the dark with regards to what is really going on. The Putin kleptocracy for himself and his inner circle is the prime focus. Beyond that, Putin has stated publicly and I've posted it here before. That he wants to recreate the USSR and return Russia to its former glory and "position" of respect in the world. Even though as an economy its smaller than Canada, or California. Presumably thats and effort to have a bigger pie for Putin and his allies to steal from.

Oh, for chrissake! Are you capable of checking the validity of anything at all??? Original & photoshopped Putin/Obama photos: https://www.quora.com/Why-did-Putin-grab-Obamas-tie-Was-it-a-friendly-chat-It-certainly-doesnt-look-like-it Un-photoshopped image of Clinton used in the Putin/Clinton photo: https://amp.businessinsider.com/images/53ba83926da811475a2b2728-640-451.jpg Both of those issues were debated and shown to be bogus. In previous threads. Bringing up dead, fake facts to muddy the water is an old FSB and trump M.O.

The Washington lobby swamp. The trump clan lead, pigs at the trough. The debt. At a time of lowest unemployment, more debt and stimulus. trump tribe, trump cult, like dems/republicans on steroids. -
Ok. Four opinion pieces in which the authors say "I think we still need NATO" But having read all four of them I can't see anything concrete, just the opinions of four people. In the poll above the post you quoted was a survey from Russia. "In a new survey published Wednesday by the Levada Center, 66 percent of respondents said they believe that Russia has an enemy. “They are talking about evil designs against our country on TV all the time,” Levada’s pollster Denis Volkov told the RBC business outlet Wednesday, explaining the level of antagonism. Of those two-thirds, 68 percent named the U.S. as Russia's biggest enemy. It was followed by Ukraine and the EU at 29 percent and 14 percent each. One in four polled Russians said the “country is surrounded by enemies from all sides.” Given that all media in Russia is controlled by the Kremlin. Why do you think Russians have those attitudes? What speculations do you have about the "evil designs" that the USA has on Russia and its people? Why would stories from western news sources be banned? Western newspapers banned? Russia’s Biggest Enemy Is U.S. — Poll https://themoscowtimes.com/news/russias-biggest-enemy-is-us-poll-60146 ----------------------------------------------------------- Ralph Peters was a US Army foreign-area officer for the former Soviet Union and Russia. He is currently Fox News’ strategic analyst. Vladimir Putin will always be America’s enemy https://nypost.com/2016/12/11/vladimir-putin-will-always-be-americas-enemy/ "Vladimir Putin is our enemy. Not because we want him to be, but because resentment and hatred of the United States is central to his being. Russia’s president yearns to do us harm. He blames us for the Soviet Union’s self-wrought collapse. He blames us for Russian stagnation. He blames us for the derelict lot of his drunken, diseased country. And he wants revenge. Putin has five strategic goals: He wants international sanctions lifted, Europe divided and NATO destroyed. He seeks to restore the empire of the czars. And he wants to humiliate the United States."

Donald J. Trump Verified account @realDonaldTrump Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity and now, the Rigged Witch Hunt! 11:05 PM - 15 Jul 2018 Yeah the stupid and foolish US. I agree trump tells it like it is. Imagine court proceedings and the rule of law applying to autocrats. The bad relationship. US stupidity and foolishness. The tweet immediately prior to the "summit" was given wide coverage by Russian media. I'm sure the world has taken notice as well.
