That's Jeff Sessions announcing his task force and that's what we are up against. I'm also pretty sure that I'm one of the many that didn't detect said dangerous movement. Must be my tin foil hat needs tuning. No matter if I, or anyone else, likes it or not it may already be too late. With the courts packed with right wingers who have lifetime appointments, and with decades of social progress eroded or destroyed by the likes of Sessions and others, having Trump in the rear view mirror may not matter. Whether or not yo's that blindly love Trump and their own ignorance can spell, answer asked questions, or get their facts in order is probably the least of our troubles. Don't forget Jeff Sessions stood up to trump re Mueller. Give America credit. The time of trump will end and the pendulum will swing the other way. IMO this is a wake up call. Politically active concerned citizens will answer the call for equality and justice. The democrats have seen a wave of women, gays, Muslim women, etc. All entering politics. Hopefully the pendulum will not swing the other way too far, or too fast.

I wish there was a way to make you go through the US immigration system... I can tell you from personal ecperience that you wouldn’t feel that the US has no borders. I guess the countries in the EU just forfeited their national identities. Fox knows its target market, Its trump, his cult and his tribe of followers. Thats why Marc and Ron are valuable. They provide insight to the cult for those who don't subscribe to Fox news.

The NRA Says It’s in Deep Financial Trouble, May Be ‘Unable to Exist’
Phil1111 replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
Yup. I know an instructor who starts off her Carry Permit classes by telling the students: "Write a list of everyone you are willing to die for. Now write down everyone you are willing to go to prison for the rest of your life for. Now write down everyone you are willing to give up everything you own for; house, car, savings, everything. The reality is if you use a gun to defend someone, those are very real possibilities. Be very careful using that gun." Yesterday, in the local ACE Hardware store I passed an angry looking dude with a Glock in a thigh holster. Never mind that this store has a "No Open Carry" sign on the front door, this deluded asshole was out to exercise his second amendment rights and fuck anyone who disagreed. How is it that anyone views this as necessary? For fucks sake, I just wanted to buy a piece of 2" PVC pipe in a town that has 3 marijuana stores and not a single goddamn 3 way stop light. Not to mention that it would have been child's play to grab a shovel and whack the moron on the head if necessary. WTF? I'm a gun guy but this is just ridiculous bullshit. You do realize not everyone carrying a gun is some gun nut ass hole? Great story. Here is another story that just happened yesterday. A dude and his friend were trying to steal some cars parked at a popular hiking location. A guy with a concealed weapon approached them. The thief got in his car and tried to flee, striking a women in the process and backing into one of the parked cars. After the thief backed into the women and tried to ram her a second time to flee the location, the man pulled out his weapon and shot the thief. The thief was later charged with attempted murder and auto theft. The guy with a gun quite literally saved the day in very measurable sense and if someone with a gun wasent present someone would have died. Or, in the absence of the "A guy with a concealed weapon". The car thief would have just fled the scene without striking the woman. Because obviously he didn't have a gun. That he was in fear for his life and that led to his fevered actions in fleeing the scene. The post from wolfriverjoe re the dangers and financial costs associated with shooting someone. Needs to be front and center. Suppose the car thief has no money or assets and the woman is seriously injured by the fleeing thief's actions. Bring in some lawyers who discover the armed man has assets. -
Well, we've all seen how well it worked for the Russians, now everyone wants a piece of the action You don't think that trump and Omarosa... in the oval office... on the ...Resolute desk....NOOOOO!

Anyone here have an issue with the trend of people secretly recording interactions with the President of the United States. Fair use in an open forum is one thing but recording devices behind closed doors is entirely different. I've stated before that people record conversations when they don't trust the other party to the conversation. So trust vs a expectation of privacy. Neither Omarosa, nor trump have good reputations in this area. Without dis railing your train of thought. But in the line of discussion of swamp. I was thinking that there is but one single person in the entirety of the trump administration. That has not sullied his footwear by the stink of the trump swamp. General Mattis.

Oh the trials to come! Top Trump Campaign Aides Are Portrayed as Corrupt at Manafort Trial https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/07/us/politics/manafort-trial-gates-testify.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=first-column-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news " The trial of Paul Manafort turned into a referendum on the character of two of President Trump’s top campaign aides on Tuesday, as prosecutors cast Mr. Manafort as the architect of a sprawling swindle and defense lawyers portrayed the prosecution’s star witness as a thief, adulterer and liar.... Mr. Gates’s recounting of Mr. Manafort’s various schemes was almost undone by his description of his own misdoings, including a secret paramour he met for trysts in London. He admitted that he had engaged in so many acts of fraud that he faced up to 100 years in prison if convicted.... He acknowledged that by faking expense accounts, he had embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from Mr. Manafort, who employed him for roughly two decades. It was also “possible,” he admitted, that he had stolen funds from Mr. Trump’s inaugural committee in the same fashion.... Finally the summation of the crimes and character of the two trump hires and senior advisors. Over all, the testimony filled in a picture of two men with few scruples and a powerful thirst for money, " Liars, thieves, scams, frauds, and tax cheats. Sounds like the upcoming trials of trump's family.

Marked classified documents? Wasn't that 3? And again, doesn't the crime of receiving classified documents seem a bit like a trap to you? BTW, exactly when did Comey stop saying stuff you trust and start being a lying stooge? You are slooooooowly coming to see the facts. And she set the illeagal erver up. How is that a trap? The most repeated promise of his entire campaign was "lock her up". Yet with his own attorney general, he has refused to fulfill this promise. WHY?

It’s actually a cover story for special counsel Robert Mueller and Donald Trump working together to expose thousands of pedophiles hidden in plain sight — including Hillary Clinton (and Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama), who will soon be under arrest. Mueller Referred 3 Cases on Illicit Foreign Lobbying to New York Prosecutors http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/08/mueller-refers-3-cases-on-foreign-lobbying-to-ny-prosecutors.html Special Counsel Robert Mueller has handed off three cases involving U.S. lobbyists who failed to register as foreign agents to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, which is already handling the case against President Trump’s so-called fixer, Michael Cohen. Mueller is so busy, the swamp so deep...

Why hasn't Robert Mueller subpoenaed Trump? Three theories about the Russia investigation " Mueller may have gathered so much evidence that he can reach informed conclusions about how to proceed without securing the president’s testimony.... evidentiary developments in the investigation may have moved the president from being a “subject” of the investigation to being a “target.” If this is the case, then Department of Justice policies would strongly argue against using a grand jury subpoena to compel the president to testify.... a guiding principle of grand jury practice is that prosecutors generally do not subpoena targets. This is because it would be futile to subpoena a target only to have that witness refuse to testify by invoking the Fifth Amendment. This principle is a corollary to the bedrock trial principle that a defendant has an absolute right not to testify at his own trial. Prosecutors generally avoid trying to force defendants to incriminate themselves via a grand jury.... Several of the individuals indicted were not subpoenaed prior to being charged. For example, Paul Manafort (obviously a target) was not subpoenaed to the grand jury; he was indicted. Rick Gates was not subpoenaed to the grand jury; he was indicted. Alex van der Zwaan was not subpoenaed to the grand jury; he was indicted." https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/why-hasn-t-robert-mueller-subpoenaed-trump-three-theories-about-ncna892591

I don't believe in your statement and the reality doesn't back them up. Over and over I read reports of someone doing something that I know, absolutely, would get me killed. The difference is that if I did it all of my friends and loved ones would say "what was Bob thinking? You can't do that!" Reality supports Bill's statement, as anyone who has been paying attention to credible news sources knows. Your repeated denial of that reality speaks volumes about you. Because its in their nature, their culture. Like a love of fried chicken, they love violence. You and i could understand this. But "socialism" precludes this. Colors our view of reality. It was in the mid-80s and we shared an office building in the Tampa Bay area. The focus of our discussion was the Communist support for the rebels. He wrote that off as insignificant because "blacks kill blacks, it is part of their culture." and you responded. I think it's culture not race, at least in the US. Fascist support hasn't entered this discussion.

"The attorney-client privilege protects most communications between clients and their lawyers. But, according to the crime-fraud exception to the privilege, a client’s communication to her attorney isn’t privileged if she made it with the intention of committing or covering up a crime or fraud.... The crime-fraud exception applies if: the client was in the process of committing or intended to commit a crime or fraudulent act, and the client communicated with the lawyer with intent to further the crime or fraud, or to cover it up." https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/the-crime-fraud-exception-the-attorney-client-privilege.html There is a reason why someone tapes conversations. Because they have a belief that the other party will lie about the conversation. Or the other party has a defective memory, or the party recording it wants accuracy in their own recollections. Thats why a JUDGE issued the FBI warrant for Cohen's files. i.e. evidence that trump's "fixer" would act to further fraud. Statement(s) that "trump not pay cash" and Cohen would take out a mortgage to borrow the money" would likely do. There has yet to be disclosures on any investigations on trump's media friends that like to help him put by "catching and killing" these stories about trump. " Trump's SHOCKING affair with the National Enquirer!...explained "Um," Michael Cohen said on his tape with Donald Trump, "I need to open up a company for the transfer of all of that info regarding our friend David." Who is the friend? All signs point to "David" being David Pecker, the chairman of American Media Inc., the owner of the National Enquirer. Trump and Pecker have a long and mutually beneficial history. Although American Media Inc. says the two men do not speak "regularly," they have a friendship that dates back decades. " https://money.cnn.com/2018/07/25/media/david-pecker-american-media-inc-trump/index.html As a followup to my prior post, re the NY,NY attorney's office. Yes Marc, thats the one filled with Dems! Robert Mueller May or May Not Go, But His Work Won’t Go Anywhere ,April 13, 2018 "Mueller has already done his due diligence and has a plan or plans in place in contemplation of his own dismissal. To wit: The multiple FBI raids on Michael Cohen’s home, office, and hotel room this week — overseen by prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney’s office in the Southern District of New York, which covers Manhattan — resulted from a referral from Mueller to that office. Bharara, who used to run the place before Trump showed him the door, acknowledged in his weekly talk show-cum-podcast that the existence of a wholly independent investigation out of a different office puts the Mueller probe, indirectly, on stronger footing. “I don’t see a way, legitimately or even pragmatically, that you can shut down a separate SDNY investigation once it is started. And boy, it is started,” Bharara said, using the acronym for his former office. Because the investigation into Michael Cohen is nonpublic and preliminary — and as far as we know, unrelated to the broader Russia investigation — there’s no way to know what crimes, if any, he’ll be charged with, or whether he’ll be charged at all. But it is significant that the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s office has evidence that it received from the Justice Department, which in turn served as a basis to gather more evidence of its own from Cohen directly, and that now Trump himself is so invested in the matter that he’s dispatched a lawyer to intervene in a New York case that may turn out to be nothing. Whatever federal prosecutors in New York have on Cohen, the president, or both, is significant enough to keep them on edge. And because the Southern District of New York is renowned for not taking orders from Washington all that easily, this is not something Trump can do much about.... And should blanket pardons be in the offing — the only saving grace for an obstructor-in-chief — they’re ineffectual to stop potential state charges that may be in the works in New York or elsewhere.... All of this should be of great comfort to anyone fearing an impulsive Mueller or Rosenstein firing. Not because it may not happen, but because there are so many levels of government and moving parts and Department of Justice officials — to say nothing of the federal judges who are overseeing the active cases — working in tandem to ensure that the wheels of the special counsel’s operation keep turning. Call it the deep state at its finest. Under those conditions, even a Saturday Night Massacre–like ouster, as terrible as that would be, would be insufficient to stop the work already underway. For all we know, there may be already a Leon Jaworski–type replacement for Mueller waiting in the wings. He faithfully picked up where Archibald Cox left off, and we all know how that story ended. http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/04/mueller-may-or-may-not-go-but-his-work-wont-go-anywhere.html Poor donald, no wonder he can't sleep at night, no wonder all the 4:00 AM tweets. Dozens of judges and hundreds of lawyers all investigating three decades of money laundering and fraud.

Which has no relation to his future testimony. Being a licensed lawyer doesn’t change what he saw or did. A investigation started by a republican attorney general. Sessions was personally hand picked by trump. Prosecuted by a republican prosecutor. Warrants approved by republican judges. For the trump base the "witch hunt" is the term invented by trump to distract from the criminal conduct under investigation. It fits the narrative for his base that trump is merely a "victim". Rest assured Mueller has much more on trump than what's been disclosed. There are reasons why he hasn't pushed trump to testify under oath, yet. In addition, at trial, the lack of loyalty for those that surround trump. Combined with his propensity to shoot his mouth off and tweet. Every thought that crosses his mind. Will result in a new favorite for trump.. The new tweet and line for trump will be taking the fifth. Mueller likely has the goods on the Putin-trump blackmail angle for all the Russian money laundering trump has participated in. Mueller and national politics aside. The New York prosecutors office will be tracking all of this. Its filled with ...wait...wait... filled with democrat prosecutors. Ready to get at trump. Thats what drives trump to sleepless nights in the WH. Its not HRC, Mueller and midterms. Its prosecutors in New York state waiting for the evidence to be laid in their laps. Evidence that Mueller will wrap in a nice little package. Perhaps the 800-900 million that trump has left after all his legal bills. Will be used in NY state to pay for medical insurance premiums. Ironic eh Marc?

The retreat in Facebook stock price is more related to the lack of privacy information controls. Combined with the dissemination of user data to third parties for commercial purpose. This has resulted in reduced use. Yes the hate is rising from both sides. As trump doubles down to maintain his base support. Both sides of the political equation become motivated. In many countries this is a recipe for violence.
