    Q

QAnon Followers Are Hijacking the #SaveTheChildren Movement. Fans of the pro-Trump conspiracy theory are clogging anti-trafficking hotlines, infiltrating Facebook groups and raising false fears about child exploitation. NYT story. Recently, an acquaintance posted a photo on her Instagram story showing a map of the United States, filled with bright red dots. “This is not a map of Covid,” the caption read. “It is a map of human trafficking.” Under the photo was a hashtag: #SaveTheChildren. A few days later, I saw the same hashtag trending on Twitter. This time, it was being posted by followers of QAnon, the sprawling pro-Trump conspiracy theory. These people were also disturbed about human trafficking, but with a dark twist: Many of them believed that President Trump was on the verge of exposing “Pizzagate” or “Pedogate,” their terms for a global conspiracy involving a ring of Satan-worshiping, child-molesting criminals led by prominent Democrats. My acquaintance is not a QAnon believer. And she certainly doesn’t think, as some QAnon adherents do, that Hillary Clinton and her cronies are kidnapping and eating children (yes, eating them) in order to harvest a life-extending chemical from their blood. But like many social media users in recent weeks, she had been drawn in by the latest QAnon outreach strategy. QAnon first surfaced in 2017 with a series of anonymous posts on the internet forum 4chan claiming to reveal high-level government intelligence about crimes by top Democrats. It has since spawned one of the most disturbing and consequential conspiracy theory communities in modern history. Its followers have committed serious crimes, and its online vigilantes have made a sport of harassing and doxxing their perceived enemies. The F.B.I. has cited QAnon as a potential domestic terror threat, and social networks have begun trying to pull QAnon groups off their platforms. Dozens of QAnon-affiliated candidates are running for office this year. One of them, Marjorie Taylor Greene, won a primary runoff Tuesday for a House seat in Georgia, drawing a congratulatory tweet from Mr. Trump. Like any movement, QAnon needs to win over new members. And its most recent growth strategy involves piggybacking on the anti-human-trafficking movement. Bizzaroworld.
  2. I hope you know that those ads are based upon trumps ad spending on you-tube to targeted geographic, demographic, areas of known trump support. Or prospective trump supporters based upon google tracking and your data profile.
  3. Kelly Bundy and Donald trump, both blonde and both equal in so many ways.
  4. I agree but this is a civil defamation action.
  5. He is merely agreeing with the majority of the world. Although IMO with the exception of trump and the current GOP the US is among the top 15 countries in the world. Obama enjoyed 50% better approval in his last year than the next two superpowers. Global leadership approval 33% for U.S. in Trump's third year Germany top-rated leadership, with 44% approval China's approval rating 32%, Russia unchanged at 30%
  6. So trump's sexual assaults go beyond just pussy grabbing. After Jan. 20,2021 he will be discovery examinations every day.
  7. trump abdicated Covid responsibility to the states and now he did the same to the states is a fiscal fashion. The absence of responsibility is the trump/GOP.

No Putin will be feeding them more news next. Fancy Bear will be stepping up operations.
  9. See, you and I agree again. The Trump administration’s secret authorizations to sell nuclear tech to Saudi Arabia "The House Committee on Oversight and Reform released a fifty-page report on July 29 documenting that corporate and foreign interests motivated the Trump administration’s decision to secretly transfer nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia, a charge minority members of the committee have denied. While the committee’s allegations of corruption are deeply troubling, they distract from the larger concern that the secret authorizations violated the law and jeopardized national security."
  10. IMO it's more of an effective lobby system and a political system that can't overcome it. The advertising that you'll lose your doctor, that the competitive system provides benefits, etc. Is so ingrained that facts can't seem to overcome lobby efforts. US senior groups can't seem to make any headway. Its disheartening to see the busloads of US seniors coming to Canada to save on drug costs. To hear of the sacrifices they have to make to pay for medication. Or worse having to forgo medication altogether. My mother gets an eye injection for high inter ocular pressures every three months or so. The drug cost is $500 the co-pay for uninsured is $25.
  11. Yes and no. India plays hardball on new drugs Inside India: India’s Fight Against Big Pharma Patents Is a Just War There are a few other very poor counties that are somewhat in between. But all advanced countries have treaties recognizing patents for very similar lengths of time. India sort of gets a walk because of its poverty.

    covid-19

You, your family and your friends. Vigilance. You control what you can.
  13. Agree. But trump actually has been inside about a dozen churches in the last four years. Ministers keep inviting him to give divisive speeches in which the response is great applause. Like all his speeches most of what he say is barefaced lies. Yet god still doesn't strike him down on the spot. More proof there is no god.
  14. 'No Blame?' ABC News finds 54 cases invoking 'Trump' in connection with violence, threats, alleged assaults. Yet "ABC News could not find a single criminal case filed in federal or state court where an act of violence or threat was made in the name of President Barack Obama or President George W. Bush. " quote from story. See now?
  15. Its election season, expect more promises. Evidently there is a new vaccine that President trump is going to launch. "Operation Hyper-Speed". Its a vaccine to prevent aging in white men only. If he's re-elected trump promises it free to old white men.
  16. Every politician from mayor, to governor, to congressman, to senator, to whoever has assistants. They research and prepare reports for the elected officials. Then there is: THE PRESCRIPTION DRUG PRICING REDUCTION ACT OF 2019 A PRICE TOO HIGH Cost, Supply, and Security Threats to Affordable Prescription Drugs Hundreds or reports prepared by government departments. What lobbyists bring to the equation is cash, i.e. political donations. There are research jobs involved that are high paying. But thats a bit of a red herring. Yes the US subsidizes the rest of the world somewhat. But that arises because the the US has multiple buyers, a lack of transparency and other countries are single payer. So they can be tougher negotiators. The difference between a single state buyer Sweden and 300-400 US insurance companies, state and wholesalers. Most likely accounts for most of that difference. The true story of America’s sky-high prescription drug prices. Good story on simplified basics. The world thanks America
  17. Its no wonder that trump loves the Saudis so much. Like Putin killing opponents in other countries using hit teams, trump dreams of such opportunities to deal with his "traitors". Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been accused of sending a hit-squad to Canada in order to kill a former Saudi intelligence official. The failed plan to kill Saad al-Jabri was soon after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey, court documents filed in the US allege. Mr Jabri, a veteran of the government of Saudi Arabia, fled into exile three years ago. He has been under private security protection in Toronto since. The alleged plot failed after Canadian border agents became suspicious of the hit-squad as they attempted to enter the country at Toronto's Pearson International Airport, court documents say. Family of exiled top Saudi officer Saad al-Jabri 'targeted' Mr Jabri, 61, was for years the key go-between for Britain's MI6 and other Western spy agencies in Saudi Arabia.
  18. You're right that many Canadians travel to US hospitals for treatment, most of it specialized. Some in order to "jump the queue" so to speak. IMO NZ, Australia are the countries with the best bang for the buck are the countries to be emulated. Canada needs improvement. NZ for example buys drugs for far less than Canada. They manage to negotiate prices at far less than almost any other advanced country. The reasons for that is if those countries spent more they should get a far superior general health outcome.Countries like India and those in Africa get larger discounts from drug makers because of economic disadvantages. This isn't the best example and doesn't include NZ I'll admit a lack of humor in some respects. Issues surrounding corruption and people in positions of power taking advantage of others get my blood boiling fast. I have a very low threshold for that and I tend to go overboard sometimes on those issues.
  19. Australia and NZ seem to get the best bang for the buck. The US is by far the most expensive. There is variability in the rankings but the top twenty- thirty countries all have good outcomes for care. Depending on the parameters used to judge satisfaction. Rankings of world's best healthcare systems United Kingdom Switzerland Sweden Australia Germany The Netherlands New Zealand Norway France Canada U.S.A You start by suggesting that you want defined concise examples. Yet you conclude by offering a personal observation in which you can't state for certain if the ambulances contain US patients or Canadian patients in the ambulances. Rather than personal experiences there are scientific studies that rely upon empirical examples in the tens of thousands. In addition there have been thousands of studies on the subject. World Health Organization ranking of health systems in 2000 From The Commonwealth Fund:
  20. I have posted dozens of studies and surveys in these forums showing: - Lower costs with national health care systems. Per person and overall.U.S. health system costs four times more to run than Canada’s single-payer system The GOP and industry lobbyists are responsible for Americans who died of covid because of no insurance. From Politico The Army Built to Fight ‘Medicare for All’ The top health industry lobbies have joined forces to take down socialized medicine — or anything that looks like it. Will they succeed? "Kahn made a phone call — and then, over the next few weeks, another and another. Those calls would lead to a series of secretive meetings in downtown D.C. where officials from every part of the health care industry — from insurance companies to hospital giants, drugmakers and even, for a time, doctors — would forge an alliance united to ensure that Sanders’ promises never became reality. Out of their pact grew an influence operation known today as the Partnership for America's Health Care Future, a multimillion-dollar cooperative designed to overwhelm not just the swelling Medicare for All movement, but every single Democratic proposal that would significantly expand the government's role in health care."
  21. U.S. Intelligence Says Republicans Are Working With Russia to Reelect Trump Just another US election with the same old actors working to benefit Satan.Every day the reaper comes calling on the ICU wards for the casualties of christian betrayal. While god keeps track of the sins of the US christian right. "In January 2016, Donald J. Trump gave a campaign speech at a small Christian college in Sioux Center, Iowa. Standing in front of a three-story pipe organ, he said, “I have the most loyal people.” “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK?” at United Reformed Church..“I will tell you, Christianity is under tremendous siege, whether we want to talk about it or we don’t want to talk about it,” Mr. Trump said. Christians make up the overwhelming majority of the country, he said. And then he slowed slightly to stress each next word: “And yet we don’t exert the power that we should have.” They prayed: “With our God we shall be valiant, he will vanquish all our foes.” The pastor spoke to a sea of white parishioners: “God’s standard requires absolute, total, perfect, obedience.” So to summarize the link between trump and his white christian evangelical base.trump brags about killing his enemies. The white evangelical pastors talk about christian power, vanquishing their foes and even though there is a constitution protecting minorities. Thats not relevant.
  22. I thought that was obvious from the chorus when the emperor went on and on about " it was the most beautiful cognitive test you've ever seen"
  23. Canada builds relatively porous walls. Immigrants Flock To Canada, While U.S. Declines "New data show the number of people immigrating to Canada increased by 26% between 2015 and 2019, and is projected to rise higher as the country seeks to overcome the aging of its workforce – a serious problem in all Western nations. In the United States, legal immigration fell by 7% between FY 2016 and FY 2018, and is expected to decline even more sharply due to Trump administration policies." Canada has a points system for immigrants, more cash, more education and the doors swing open. Last year 60% were economic immigrants, i.e. educated and /or over $250k cash. Immigration could help Canada top U.S. in economic growth this year 'The Census Bureau reported Dec. 30 that net international migration in the U.S. plummeted for a third straight year in 2019 to a decade low of 595,000. Along with declining birthrates, that helped slow annual population growth to the weakest in a century, according to an analysis by Brookings Institution demographer William Frey. Last year, Canada added a net 437,000 people from abroad, despite being only a tenth the size of the U.S., helping to drive its fastest population increase in 30 years, even with declines in fertility.... More restrictive immigration policies from the Trump administration have also curbed interest from foreign students and workers, benefiting its neighbor to the north." The US, well the hypocrites of the GOP have killed any attempts at reforms. Oh well the OP has his theory flapping in the wind. Like trump's attempts to conceal his lies.As the above shows his racist wall became one to drive students and wealthy immigrants to the north.
  24. Well if the Canadian gov. was serious they could check Walmart parking lots first thing in the morning. There must be a mass migration to Alaska now because lots of RV's with US plates. They could stop selling fishing licenses to Americans because they all seem to be fishing their way to Alaska. Its all propaganda, I think the locals figure they are just escaping trump till the election.
  25. Its all good the medicare is free, the tests are free and the wall is still in progress.
