    Q

The title of this editorial is QAnon: The alternative religion that’s coming to your church its from the Religion News Service. IMO the most appropriate parts are: "Mark Fugitt, senior pastor of Round Grove Baptist Church in Miller, Missouri, recently sat down to count the conspiracy theories that people in his church are sharing on Facebook. The list was long. It included claims that 5G radio waves are used for mind control; that George Floyd’s murder is a hoax; that Bill Gates is related to the devil; that masks can kill you; that the germ theory isn’t real; and that there might be something to Pizzagate after all. ... Thorngate attributes the phenomenon in part to the “death of expertise”(READ SCIENCE) — a distrust of authority figures that leads some Americans to undervalue long-established measures of competency and wisdom. Among some church members, he said, the attitude is, “I’m going to use church for the things I like, ignore it for the things I don’t and find my own truth. “That part for us is concerning, that nothing feels authoritative right now.” So religious followers seem to be prime believers for other conspiracy theories. That they don't trust science or expertise. The READ SCIENCE is mine. and “I’m going to use church for the things I like, ignore it for the things I don’t and find my own truth." hits the nail on the head. No news here because staunch religious believers seem to be Qanon's best advocates. The editorial makes a link to another story Don't be fooled by QAnon’s post-apocalyptic fury. It’s really spiritual hunger.. authored by Tara Isabella Burton is a contributing editor at the American Interest, a columnist at Religion News Service, and the former staff religion reporter at Vox.com. She has written on religion and secularism for National Geographic, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and more, and holds a doctorate in theology from Oxford. She is also the author of the novel Social Creature (Doubleday, 2018). "We are living at the end of history, this aesthetic goes, and that’s fundamentally exciting. It is an aesthetic that celebrates chaos for its own sake, and celebrates those who recognize that they’re living on the edge. This apocalyptic fantasy has also become a recruitment tool for the far-right. Underpinning the logic of QAnon is a narrative of both heroism and destruction, in which intrepid keyboard warriors can uncover and overthrow a deep state committed to the status quo. That same narrative supports the fanatical and hysteric ideology of modern race war as concocted by the “far white”: America in 2020 as the last stand to defend the white race. It is necessary to understand and condemn the racism — structural as well as individual — and racial hatred encoded deep within these movements. But it is necessary, too, to understand that their pull is a promise of a role to play in history’s last battle. This vision of post-apocalyptic meaning-making — the end-of-history as a survivalist video game — is a symptom of our collective cultural alienation and the sense of meaninglessness wrought by life under late capitalism."
  3. Yes If the International Confederation of Music Publishers can protect music from unfair use and duplication so should journalists. Who investigate, publish and inform in the face of fake news and Facebook false dialogue.
  4. Stephen Miller a new book.Or more properly a book released about him. He is the sole non-family survivor of trump's original band of miscreants. Below a NPR review. "Stephen Miller is the architect of Donald Trump's extreme policies on immigration. And leaked emails have shown him pushing white-power ideology cloaked in pseudo-science. So how did an affluent kid from the California suburbs — who liked mobster movies and wore gold chains — get on the path that led him to where he is now? Jean Guerrero's new book Hatemonger: Stephen Miller, Donald Trump, and the White Nationalist Agendafollows Miller through a conservative media landscape where key figures — including right-wing radio talk-show host Larry Elder; David Horowitz, who founded the David Horowitz Freedom Center; and former Breitbart chief Steve Bannon — propelled the rise of a man who now influences who gets to be an American." From Politico: Stephen Miller Is an Immigration Hypocrite. I Know Because I’m His Uncle. "Let me tell you a story about Stephen Miller and chain migration. It begins at the turn of the 20th century, in a dirt-floor shack in the village of Antopol, a shtetl of subsistence farmers in what is now Belarus. Beset by violent anti-Jewish pogroms and forced childhood conscription in the Czar’s army, the patriarch of the shack, Wolf-Leib Glosser, fled a village where his forebears had lived for centuries and took his chances in America.

I can see the bikers at Sturgis lining up now. The demographics for Sturgis are interesting 17% below age 44 and average age 54. Other dangerous covid vulnerability factors are average waistline of 54 inches.Although the five killed in separate motorcycle crashes, over the seven day rally won't have to worry about covid.
  7. and when that doesn't work call in the Russians. "Says the media cut out his request of Russian hackers to find Hillary Clinton’s emails “right at the end so that you don’t see the laughter, the joke.” Politifact: "Trump said the media distorted his "Russia, if you’re listening" comment in 2016 by cutting out "the laugher, the joke." The laughter was not cut. The full video shows that no laughter followed. Trump has recast the delivery and response of his 2016 press conference in an effort to distort the media’s coverage. We rate this statement False."

  9. Really? Fed-Ex is going to door to door deliver to a rural postal walk in nowhere N.D.from Hawaii for 55 cents. UPS is going to deliver two ounces for 70 cents. To the same nowhere addresses. UPS,FED-EX and the others are going to have service pickup and door delivery in hicktown Idaho to backwoods Alaska? Illegal voters? Some Noncitizens Do Wind Up Registered To Vote, But Usually Not On Purpose This has been studied to death by the GOP and others with no substantiation. Trump’s Latest Voter Fraud Misinformation Justice Department Finds 19 Illegal Voters; Right-Wing Peanut Gallery Cheers One vote is too many eh? The AP’s analysis indicates that Republicans won about 16 more U.S. House seats than would have been expected based on their average share of the vote in congressional districts across the country. In state House elections, Republicans’ structural advantage might have helped them hold on to as many as seven chambers that otherwise could have flipped to Democrats, according to the analysis. So GOP gerrymandering won them three less House seats than the total number of illegal votes that the DOJ found.
  10. His record as president will go down in history as properly defining his character, intellect and failure as a person. Contrary to every scam, fraud ,lie, book, TV show, etc. that he tried to use to define himself, falsely.

"Having a Q supporter in Congress will inevitably fan the flames of the conspiracy, even if Greene decides to remain silent about Q or even disavow her previous beliefs, which involve her calling Q a “patriot” back in 2018. "While he predicted that QAnon would begin pressuring Trump to carry out “The Plan” and begin his mass purge of the power elite if he won, Carusone worried particularly about what would happen if Trump lost. “You'll start to see an increase in questions about the legitimacy of the election, of the outcome,” he predicted. “Increased attacks on the system of voting, a total lack of acknowledgment about the election result unnecessarily. And that's assuming Trump says nothing.” If Trump decides to contest the results, Carusone added, he has a captive audience “that have been stockpiling weapons, ammunition and freeze-dried food rights to basically fight the battle of their lives against the deep state. Either way, they're going to say that it's proof of their argument and the externalities that come from that are not good.”

She says she is not a Qanon "candidate" and that she no longer "talks about it". Thats not saying that she no longer believes in it or doesn't follow it. Or doesn't believe in it. I doubt this zebra is changing her stripes anytime soon. "On social media, many QAnon supporters expressed elation at Greene’s victory, viewing it as a coup for the cause. They were further emboldened by a tweet on Wednesday from President Trump, congratulating Greene on her victory. “Congratulations to future Republican Star Marjorie Taylor Greene on a big Congressional primary win in Georgia against a very tough and smart opponent. Marjorie is strong on everything and never gives up – a real WINNER!,” he wrote."

NBC news 14 hours ago: "She may have defeated a brain surgeon, but it doesn’t take a medical degree to know that Greene is a quack and a racist. Politico unearthed hours of Facebook videos featuring Greene ranting about Blacks, Muslims and Jews. In other videos, Green proclaimed that “white men are the most mistreated group in America.” In a 2017 video she said, “There’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to take this global cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles out, and I think we have the president to do it.” Republican Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan endorsed Greene’s campaign, and a PAC associated with Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows funneled thousands of dollars to her campaign. Trump himself even tweeted his support of Greene, calling her a “future Republican Star.” Who knows with trump and the GOP. Dogwhistles, gaslighting, it all goes with scraping the bottom of the greasy barrel to get every last supporter. The cockroaches are mixed in with the old lard.
  15. Time moves on but its time to remember all those that made enormous sacrifices in WW2. Today is the 75th anniversary of VJ (victory over Japan) day that announced the end of WW2. Today Japan and Germany have become the friends of the west and modern democracies. Yet 85 million died all together to end the madness of a few men. That represents about 3% of the worlds 1940 population.

    covid-19

Test less and Covid vanishes! News flash: by election the US is Covid free. No vaccines needed. Hey Turtle, trump was right! You don't have to be a centrist anymore!!. Covid is dropping in America! For the first time during the pandemic, the United States saw a downward trend in the number of coronavirus tests conducted each day. "Reported daily tests trended downward for much of the last two weeks, essentially stalling the nation’s testing response. Some 733,000 people have been tested each day this month on average, down from nearly 750,000 in July, according to the COVID Tracking Project. The seven-day test average dropped to 709,000 on Monday, the lowest in nearly a month, before ticking upward again at week’s end." Everyone can rest easy and party it up.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, GOP candidate and Q supporter. "Greene has repeated and promoted QAnon theories and phrases, praising the mythical Q as a "patriot" in a video from 2017 and describing the conspiracy theory as "something worth listening to and paying attention to." She added, "He is someone that very much loves his country, and he's on the same page as us, and he is very pro-Trump." QAnon Supporter Who Made Bigoted Videos Wins Ga.
