  1. All this talk of marriage is scaring me pretty bad. Who in there right mind would actually volunteer to go to purgatory? Thanks, no, I'll just find the woman I hate the most and give her half of what I own. Then I'll call it even and have a good time dating whoever wants to put up with me for a while. 2. Okay, let me see if I've got this all straight in my head. Your husband has a decent steady job, you're going to school to be a nurse, which will add another decent steady job, and your parents think you're just a little too wild and crazy/unstable (or something along those lines) to be fit to raise your own child? I can understand them wanting the kid to go to a nice school since education is important, but let me ask you this one question. Are your parents pretty hardcore conservative Christian people? If so I can relate to your situation way too much. My parents are the same way, and they still think that they can dictate every life choice I ever have to make. Truman Sparks for President
  3. First of all, good job on the save. I don't care what else happened, you're here to talk about it so you had the brains/blessing to do that right. Second, good job on posting it for us all to see. That would have to fall under the "good karma for you" category. I know some people are always gonna be critical with a person who admits a mistake. I think it's one of the uglier sides of human nature to attack any sign of weakness. Of course, in the defense of humanity, most of us lowly little peons will simply incorporate your lesson into our gear check. Will we all learn from it? Probably not. Is there a good chance that your posting this will save one of our asses down the road? I'd have to say yes. Thanks. Truman Sparks for President
  4. Let's see, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch and ouch. Those are some 'special' jokes you all are telling here. Truman Sparks for President
  5. I'm in the same boat, AD. I mean, I probably hunt and fish 50 times more than this guy could ever do, I like my country music, hell, I even like going to rodeos. My book's a lot like yours, I think that may make me a bit of a country boy, or at the most a hick. But dammit, only redknecks can be proud to be a member of a "certain secret society." 6. Okay, now I've been in some rough situations and thought I got lucky to get out of them ok, but you all have GOT to check this one out. www.thekansascitychannel.com/news/1939074/detail.html Truman Sparks for President

I used to be baptist, but then they kicked me out for saying hi and waving entirely too much. I guess I never learned the code. Darn. Truman Sparks for President
  8. After only half-way fixing the car when I thought it was all the way fixed it broke down far enough away to have to call a friend with a truck so he could tow us back to the house. This guy lives next door toa friend who wasn't home, offered the use of his phone, and since it was apprx. 23 degrees outside we took him up. In hindsight, should have brought the tire iron in with me. Truman Sparks for President
  9. if you only could have been there Truman Sparks for President

  12. Welcome to the forums, and if there is one thing you'll never be able to do that's bore a bunch of skydivers by talking about skydiving and how beautiful it is.
  13. Hi, welcome, and dammit, now I want to meet all of these people you pseak of even more!
  14. Welcome to the forums. As far as Raeford's training not being recognized in the UK, ya might want to check your source on that one. I mean, I don't know one way or another, but it sure sounds wrong. Anyway, like I said, welcome. Truman Sparks for President
  15. I spent last night not watching the superbowl. From what I hear it wasn't the greatest game ever, but still, I wish I could have seen it. It had to have been better than 1, trying to fix a friend's car, and then 2, getting stuck waiting in an apartment with a wonderfully nice guy who, instead of watching the damn football game spent all the time I was there talking about his uncle, a grand wizard of the f-ing kkk. And just in case you were wondering, yes, he was fat, yes he did have bib coveralls on, yes there was a dixie flag hanging over his couch, yes he did have a beer in hes hand, and yes, he was chewing a big ol' dip of tobacco. All this at the same time. I try to be tolerant, but damnit, people, aren't random acts of violence justifiable every now and then? Truman Sparks for President
  16. Kinda makes a guy feel bad for that three-eyed goldfish Truman Sparks for President

  24. I don't see nukes beeing used first by the U.S. simply because the whole freaking world looks WAY down on that shit. By the way, so the French won't join in our little coalition? That means we'll be lacking expertise in the key areas of what? Surrendering and running away? (Heard on Sat nite live, thought it was funny. Don't get all pissed at me now
  25. LOL This one I will have to remember Truman Sparks for President
