Everything you wanted to know about Jello shots
divegoddess replied to Girlfalldown's topic in The Bonfire
I used to just replace the cold water with vodka, but the novelty wore off rather quickly. Sugar free blue rasberry Jello Lime Jello Let the water cool Jose Quervo! mmmmmmmmm One Tequila Two Tequila Three Quetila Floor -
doesn't that hurt without some kind of support? hehehehehehehe. That's funny though.

A HUGE landing area is definitely a plus. Though I would like to think that 20 years of ballet would make my landings graceful, I know it will take some practice.

ok now we ALL should not jump this weekend

If you were in their position, wouldn't you be grateful for the generosity of you fellow man? -
I have heard about their freak fly school and was seriously considering flying lessons... but one thing at a time. first my license. I'm in Portsmouth so I'm not sure how far away that is. I will check into it. I have heard mixed things about skydive newengland. That is 15-20 minutes from me. It would be nice to go there after work on a friday. But I would like to have another option. When I called skydive ne up they seemed prety bothered by my questions. Thanks for the suggestion.

What are your Skydiving Withdraw Symptoms
divegoddess replied to valcore's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
My next jump is soon. I finally saved enough $$$. Since my first one, I've been here every night.... reading... Every time I see a beautiful day, I wish I was in the sky. Sigh -
What age did you start skydiving?

I'd much rather be with a dirt poor guy who lives in a tent and is happy with himself and his life than with a millionaire who hates where he is and what he's doing. ditto. If money is important to me, then I'll earn it myself. That is definitely a peripheral issue, and not what's important in a partner. I couldn't agree more. That's what I tell my parent when they bring the $$$ thing up. I was doing fine when I met my boy toy, and If I want something I will do what I have to to get it.... and you know how women get when they want something For me it's all about the support system. I don't need a man to give me an allowance.I need a man to give me space to do what I want. (we both know who I'm coming home to... and why I'm there) I need a man to pick me up and dust me off when I fall. To give me a push in the right direction. To support me when I need it. And in the rare instance that I cry... to hold me and tell me eveything's o.k.... That and to occasionally tell me I'm gorgeous.

Going from A to B in a timely fashion?
divegoddess replied to divegoddess's topic in Safety and Training
If you know you want to take AFF so bad, why even waste the cash on the tandems? It really boiled down to is the fact that I don't want to start AFF before the DZ closes for the winter and then begin again in the spring. I have been told that you can learn alot by doing several tandems. Some places have Tandem progression training for this reason. -
Going from A to B in a timely fashion?
divegoddess replied to divegoddess's topic in Safety and Training
Thanks. That's exactly what I'll do. Before I even start AFF I'll have three tandems under my belt. I just don't want to go through AFF and then have no ides where to go from there. Blue Skies ~Amanda -
Sweet Zombie Jesus you signature is funny. I'm gonna make a t-shirt our of that. I'll put the general from the nintendo game on the front, and the back will say All your dropzones are belong to us. Hmmm. I don't know how well that will sell. Most people don't really get that. ANYWAY congrats on your jumps you guys. I'm doing my second jump ever next week. MAN! am I excited. Especially because it took me so long to get the $$$$ and it's all I've been thinking about. Blue skies and soft landings. ~Amanda

Going from A to B in a timely fashion?
divegoddess replied to divegoddess's topic in Safety and Training
O.k.... So I know what I have to do to get my A license. But I am looking for some sagelike advice on continuing on after I get my A license. I definately plan on getting some free fly training. There's a school called freakfly that operates out of my home D.Z. I am doing my second Tandem in about a week. And a week after that I am doing my third -
Congrats. I hope to follow in your footsteps some day. I'm working on getting some $$ together for training and a rig. Hopefully when skydive newengland opens up in the spring, I will be taking their AFF. I hope you find a good rig and take to the sky soon.

WTF is up with fat chicks wearing half shirts ?
divegoddess replied to cocheese's topic in The Bonfire
There's a better term for a "hang over" It's called a flabolanche. I can't say anything about the belly t as I do wear them. But I must say that I have a six pack and hopefully don't blind pedestians. hehe Moped and fat chicks that's funny. ~Amanda -
I know what you mean. I also made my first jump on the 3rd of July. I started saving for my A license the second I hit the ground.(actually I was dead broke the second I hit the ground) It's all I think about. the boy went with me, and he loved it as well, but he thinks I'm crazy because I can't get it out of my head. Every spare second I get I'm in these forums(this place rocks), or reading the books that I have on it. I wish I had the $$$ right now to start my training. I always seem to pick the most expensive hobbies I can find. But believe me when I tell you I will find a way to save the money over the off season and the day my D.Z opens I will be there, cash in hand, ready to jump. Hopefully I will have enough saved to buy my own rig by then too. Well.. good luck to ya. ~Amanda
