  1. LOL, yeah repeated viewings are a requirement. For educational purposes of course
  2. You can check out the JVX guys and pretty much figure out most of who will get invites Good luck to those boys, seems like a good opportunity so rock on and have fun with it

  4. http://media.putfile.com/Girls-Bitchslapping-Contest Ha. You just gotta laugh at some people. Blues. To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
  5. Nice Dan. That was interesting to watch. See some of you next year
  6. Ahhh the other side to the story. I knew there had to be an explanation! Chachi....looks like you might want to give out all the facts next time, before you start slamming people. Frankly Mel, I wouldn't do shit for him at this point. Blues, Ian To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
  7. Katie did a hop n pop from 2g's. Had a spinning mal. Cutaway, and was still under her reserve in time (AFTER a hard cutaway). Being prepared for a malfunction and NOT DICKING AROUND AT ALL at that altitude is better, IMO, than going straight for the last chance. Honestly Steve, I don't really care what you pull out the door at 2k. Your gear, your life, your choice. Just make sure you get out if you need to Blues, Ian To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
  8. Hmmm, odd that you're having such a hard time. Everyone else I know has had nothing but good things with them. They worked with me when I was having some hard openings on a slider and I never got any grief out of them at all. What was the malfunction you experienced and what exactly has been the problem in dealing with them? 9. Jeff, I think the reaction that Steve, and others, are facing isn't because of an adversion to doing unprepared 2k pulls but rather that some people have expressed outright fear and unwillingness to do them. I still stand by my prior posts where I advocate PRACTICING and preparing for lower passes. My concerns with jumpers who called such low passes stupid/crazy/etc makes me worry about the type of people I may be in an aircraft emergency with one day. Panic and confusion are our worst enemies. If we couple that with being unprepared we have a recipe for distaster. 10. Steve, While I believe you could do 450's safely I believe you have a lot more to learn on your 270 first. 450's aren't going to fix any problems with existing turns (they'll probably make them worse) so they aren't worth doing until you're nailing the 270's with power, and accuracy, consistently IMO. Good 270's blow away average 450's every time. Yes, I am working on the bigger turns myself, but I am unable to consistantly and powerfully deliver them through the gates. So, until I can, I'm staying on 270's for comps. I still manage to do just fine on them (when I'm not flying like a tool ) Blues, Ian To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
  11. yep. Honestly, it's MOST LIKELY that the turn at the end is body position. We're all guilty of asymettry in the harness. Try keeping your feet and knees together from the time you're pulled upright and see how that helps. 12. No you are not. I've done Cessna hop n pops from 2k on a 90 loaded with weight. I was under a fully inflated main before 1500 feet every time. Sub terminal opening won't take as much altitude. 15. Spot on Walt. Blues, Ian To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
  16. Ahh, so you'd rather have your first time getting out at that altitude, ever, be when the pilot has an emergency and says "get out"? IMO, low PREPARED exits are a pretty damn good thing to do. Everyone should be prepared for them. IMO being unprepared is a stupid and unsafe thing to do. Blues. 17. Lisa, I dropped you a PM but the kitty still doesn't have a home. We're going to be away for the weekend but if we still don't have any takers for when we get back we'll chat about the shipping options. 23. Basically any extreme HP pilot should take this away from the article: If you're doing more than a 360 you should realize that you are playing with fire. I am currently in the process of getting a Speed Cypres. I haven't turned on my cypres for a while now because of the larger rotations on landing. 24. Kris and Lisa, Thanks for the info. It's good to know there are good options out there. Lisa, if nothing turns up by the weekend we'll contact you
  25. Hey everyone! We recently had a stray kitten turn up on our doorstep. It's a very sweet and good natured kitten but unfortunately we cannot take in ANOTHER stray so we're looking for a home for it. If anyone is interested, or knows anyone who's interested, please let me know ASAP. Blues!
