  3. Oh god, not the yearbook!!! Thats just wrong... Nope, he comes back this week so I gotta get out there because I'll be right at thirty days since the weather the week before wouldn't let me jump... think I'll try Friday after work first and then Saturday after work if I have to. Gotta get that Level 7 in before I go crazy. I can't wait!!!
  4. If you drink an alcoholic beverage mixed with a carbonated beverage (ie vodka tonic) it absorbs into your system faster than if you drink alcohol straight up (ie shot of vodka)... Everyone should know that...
  5. Ohh...Play... why didn't I think of that?

  10. Husband is in the Bahamas for 10 days...lots of "what ifs"... What if I see a spider in the house? What if the burgalar alarm goes off in the middle of the night? What if I need something done with the car? What if I can't find anyone to argue with? What if there is just something "manly" that needs to be done? Just kidding...but still...DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF!! And to top it all off... I promised no jumping until he gets back (just in case I die and all...would really put a big bummer on his trip, I think...) ....Sigh................................ Guess ill start another game of solitare......

  15. hmmm...interesting... Ive gotten a couple of speeding tickets in my time...always pay them and take defensive driving because it is just a hassle to take time off work, go wait in line, etc, etc...
  16. I don't know...that is what she told me... I do know that when I first started jumping at SSM that the first thing I was told was "don't speed through Martindale...they will nail you every time". I've been told that at least 8 times in my long, 9 jump career... Besides, you don't know these tiny Texas towns...
  17. Just a friendly little reminder... I directed someone out there last weekend to do their first tandem and forgot to tell her the most important thing about skydiving in San Marcos... DON'T SPEED THROUGH MARTINDALE!!! Yep, she got a speeding ticket for doing 64 in a 60... I guess after that the 2nd most important thing is pull your parachute...
  18. Thank you. It's because of people like you that service industry in this country is (mostly) relegated to people without high school (or any other for that matter) education. On the other hand, if the waiter does not check back with you to make sure you're enjoying your meal, then he/she is not doing his/her job. To receive and appreciate good service it takes two: waiter and customer. Actually, in upscale restaurants, most servers not only have a high school diploma but also college degrees. They are smart enough to realize that they can make more money and work less hours waiting tables than the field they originally got their degree in. Plus there are no reports and presentations to work on in their off-hours. Besides, the service industry is always going to be in demand. Many college grads out there have a hard time landing a job after college.
  19. try Lucy in Disguise on Congress just south of the bridge...they have everything!!!
  20. _______________________________________ I agree! why, do folks take it out on the waiter and not tip when in fact, it's the cook's fault? Waitstaff, relies on tips. The average hourly wage for a waiter/waitress is about $2.85! Some of them are trying to raise kids. Meanwhile, that high dollar chef gets off scott-free. Chuck Make that about $2.15 and hour...and I work in a nice place... Sure, leave no tip, I'll remember you when you come in next time...and I'm the last one that sees your food in private before it reaches your table... just kidding...
  21. Ok, I ended up in the nightclub and my character started dancing...then I couldnt get it to stop...kinda like in real life when Ive had 5 margaritas... Then I found out that while she was dancing in the street I could make her take off her clothes...kinda like when ive had 7 margaritas...(just kidding, Marc!!)
  22. Welcome Back - John Sebastian How boring...
