Well said!! Ditto. You (and Scott and Pete) got second at Nationals for FreeFlying. I don't think you have anything to prove. If I don't have anyone to jump with at the American Boogie this year, you and Meeker are welcome to toss out of the back of the CASA again. -
masterrig, Just a suggestion, have you every thought of contacting the jumper and giving him/her an estimate? For example, once you've figured out everything, calling/contacting the jumper back and saying, "You asked me to do A - L on your rig. Do you realize this will cost you $X?" They may not realize this or it will at least prepare them for (what they call in the Mortgage Industry) "payment shock". They may comeback and say, "Thanks for letting me know. On second thought, please only do A - C on my rig." I'm not saying you didn't, but it didn't seem readily apparant to me. I'm not trying to be cheap, but if expectations on either end are not in line, than at least someone will be pissed.

If you have a Group Life policy through your employer, max it out - that would be the best deal. Many employers give you a "free" (as in for as long as you are employed with them) 1x your salary or whatever w/ an option to increase that multiplier up to 3x or maybe more. Individuals are NOT underwritten in a Group policy.

Yup - Lompoc....and yes, "SkyGod" is 4-letter word in skydiving (although in this context, I meant it to mean those of the highest ability and experience).

I saw some B.A.S.E. footage, maybe it was at Eloy recently, where a guy was sitting on another's shoulders and then jumped. Later, they did two on top of one and all three fell off together! The bottom guy could just barely walk and hold them to even get off the cliff. Was that Keen N' Able?

It seems to me that one of the biggest problems here is that Shayna seems to think, probably based on Rick being a TM, that skydiving is a right and not a priviledge...and one that she should be able to do even if she can't afford it herself. It doesn't work that way.

Re: Oxygen People make jumps EVERYDAY from 15K WITHOUT SUPPLEMENTAL OXYGEN. As a student, your concerns about oxygen are irrrelevant.

1) I'd be surprised if any part of Altamount is even 5% - it's not that steep. 2) In order to endanger jumping a 12-hr period for me, I'd have to kill my body drinking Red Bull all day...and I just won't....and can't afford to jump that much in a day either.
