  1. Here's another one, but much less info. It is a Europop song, played a lot in Switzerland and probably elsewhere in Europe in 98. I remember hearing it in either a contact (Focus, Acuvue or something) or some antihistamine commercial (Claritin?) a year or so later.
  2. I'll watch when I get home, but Bonnydoon has some of the best and coolest wines. Their Ca del Solo Ma diBianca (a Malvasia Bianca) is currently my favorite white wine - and at only about $12 or so a bottle. It is rather hard to find though - sometimes at Whole Foods, but probably have to buy it direct, special order through the wine person at the store or some other wine specialty store.
  3. Inaccurate. The Under/un-insured coverage of your premium is usually
  4. My sister and I love The Amazing Race! We would love to go on that show together! Fear Factor? I'm with Val on the fact that I don't think I'm exactly what the show normally has on it! The whole size 0 and big boobs, really not me! Danielle Amazing Race: one of the best reality shows ever.
  5. So, how are people defining "off heading"? If it is like 30 degrees off from how you were facing when you pulled (i.e. just a slight twist), then BFD.
  6. Isn't this pretty much how most F-111's flare? My AFF rig was f-111 and I remember this is how I flared. Then, jumping the rental Sabre-190 and 170, it completely changed to the gradual, smooth flare.
  7. Well, from the topic, I thought the site was going to be about: how do college students afford to jump? I have a full time and can barely afford to! But then again, I have a 200K mortgage.
  8. No, I do not, but the card is pretty much all filled out...just need a couple quick sigs and the stamp. And yes, pops, from reading that account with the guys Astra, very happy in hindsight that the chick didn't turn it on for me.
  9. If they don't put an article about Lost Prairie on espn.com soon, I'm going to be pissed. How dare they disrespect us!!
  10. During the jump that I forgot, I remembered on the way to altitude and asked someone else to turn it on. SOOOOO glad they asked, "Wait, I think you are supposed to be on the ground to do it." She confirmed with someone else one the load. I was all worried and then she said, "Don't worry, your chute will still work."
  11. Corrupting and dating are 2 WAAAAY different things. Well, considering that you're currently dating someone and that we're geographically challenged, I feel pretty safe at the moment.
  12. Phew! I don't have to have to worry about you taking advantage of me and corrupting me (I looked at your profile.).
  13. Would you guys still hang out with me if I'm not all completely oversexed like the most of you?
  14. Rather verbose, but entertaining narrative. I was REALLY lazy for mine - not until jump 50 or so. I was maybe a tad nervous, but that's it. I think we were around 4000. I was in the saddle by about 3200. It would've been nicer to wait another couple seconds, but otherwise fine. Yup, the sub-terminal opening felt "weird", but it was fun - just a different experience.
  15. whatever you want to type (e.g. CLICKY) FYI - there is one space after the [url, a double quote, your url, then another double quote.
  16. FYI - your topic is just a tad vague. ...but I haven't seen the flash yet - Surf Control says to wait until I get home.
  17. I have a Sabre 2 150 as well, loaded just a hair over 1 and I've only gotten on heading openings with no line twists. I've only gotten a couple really soft snively openings, but no slammers or rather hard ones. What about a bigger slider? I think are past threads that with this for 1st gen Sabres, but the same hints might be good too. Hopefully someone with some real knowledge can reply.
  18. Oops! BSRs require a functional AAD for unlicensed jumpers. I'd interpret "functional" as "on and calibrated." Mark I was an idiot once recently and it looks like I broke a BSR acording to mark too! Whoohoo! (Not that I'm proud of it or intend to do it again).
  19. One thing to consider is that you may not have a choice. In my case, anything in my price range is in a complex w/ an HOA (i.e Condos/Townhouses) - it goes with the territory so to speak.
  20. Nah, someone will still feel that it was bigotted, and if you really think about, it still is, but I think your statement (or should I say his) is about as close to "not like a bigot" as you could get.

    bungy jumping

Anyone here every bungy from the gondola near Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland? I did that for my one and only in '98. MUCH scarier than skydiving IMO. I did the 100M option (it was MUCH cheaper), but you could do 180M as well (over twice as much $$).
  22. Anecdote for you: about two years ago now, I did a few jumps during the summer sans suit (it was hot and didn't want to get all sweaty and stuff). They went fine, except for the last one. On final, the wind decided to switch directions on my
  23. Surgery for what? Please inform the clueless who don't know you personally since you've already posted pics to the world. Thanks!
