Opinions on my future rig colors?
regulator replied to silent_pumpkin's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Just ask Merriah Eakins...she loves purple! -
No...the Optima was still on. I just pulled the batteries and the display slowly faded. I put them in the first time...nothing on the display. Then I flipped them over and it came right up.

I don't have a Viso, but I do have an Optima. I had to change the batteries in it this past weekend and the device was on...I just slipped the battery slot out and replaced the batteries...they were in backwards and nothing on the device lit up, so I just flipped the the opposite way and it started up by itself and showed full battery strength. Hope this helps

C'mon Austin Don't piss off the old people by calling them seniors. They like to be referred to as youthfully inverse

Doesn't really seem that this thread is taking off that well BTW.. I have a new cypres 2 in my new rig.
-
That's all the details the facts would provide. I'm sure the person who was jacked probably jumps at either Spaceland or SDH. I was hoping they could provide some insight for us. PS. If the person who was jacked reads this thread... my condolences are with you my friend... I hope you get ALL your stuff back and the person of interest goes to jail.

Guys, can you really "retrain your beard?"
regulator replied to skydiver30960's topic in The Bonfire
That reminds me of the just for men commercial with Emmit Smith...Your Beard is Weird! -
I'm living proof that if you want something bad enough you can do it no matter how long it takes. Keep up the good work and if you love jumping...then keep jumping...you'll be fine.

I have no idea about being accident prone. I push the limits in most everything I do (especially driving my car) and rarely have an accident. I'm not clutzy either, however it took me a total of 3 whole years to get my A license. If you are dedicated enough you can do it. And in my opinion being 'accident prone' is all in your head...as soon as you believe it yourself you let yourself believe that an accident is right around the corner. Just jump let god sort the rest out.

TIMMMYYYY!!!

You gotta love the Discovery Channel and the show Time Warp where this clip came from. I love the way the water breaks into smaller drops...bounces a few times on the surface and then collapses into the pool and a smaller drop emerges only to have the same destiny. cool stuff!

sounds like ZEP speaks from experience!

So since its called an 'Otterbox' and they say it's bombproof ...wonder if you could drop it from the door on a jump run and recover it later...would it still work. OR should I say will it blend?
-
Well that makes sense. Usually the times I've seen 7 crash and create the log report, it was a particular app crashing not an actual windows file that probably resided in the system folders. Basically anytime you encounter kernel, page and memory faults its a BSOD of some type. Were you able to resolve the issue. And if not, could you give me some details about the type of machine you were installing it on? It sounded like you were running a quad core so that is probably a desktop setup right?

Hasn't Perris been doing this for a while already?
