Without getting into the argument over the wisdom of learning BASE with 0 or few skydives, I would add just one thing... I personally think that prior skydiving experience adds to the overall BASE experience. I mean, whuffos will only get the "man we're high" sensation. I know when I stood at the edge of The Bridge (tm) and looked over the side all I could think was "Man that's low. There's no way. There's no [expletive]-ing way." Part of the fun is the change in perspective that you get from shifting between sports. It like the old joke.... A whuffo looks over The Bridge (tm) and thinks "Man we're high." A skydiver looks over and goes "Man we're low." (My addition) And an experienced BASE jumper looks over and goes "Man we're high." - Z "Always be yourself... unless you suck." - Joss Whedon

Hey Kenyon, I have about every BASE flick known to man (ask Tom, lol) and yours is probably my favorite. You have a great knack for editing. Great shots, great music, good mix of scenery and jumps. The mal clips are a hoot. We joke that you may need to work on your packing a bit. Continuum is also the first film I show to whuffos. You did a good job of showing the grace & athleticism in the sport as well as the spectacular places we get to visit. Every whuffo that has seen it came away with a positive attitude about our sport. I do terminal A jumps all the time. They're pretty much my bread & butter jumps. And they still scare the crap out of me. I tend to agree that slider-up, and especially terminal, jumps aren't the best way to train a newbie. A beginning jumper has far to many things to worry about as it is. Throwing potential 180s, line twists & poor altitude awareness into the equation is just asking for trouble. The ground comes up really fast at terminal.
