Math is sort of a different animal, because math is in essence purely theoretical and the proofs take place within the framework itself. It's self-defining. I can also "prove" through mathematical induction that I can build a skyscraper of infinite height. Exactly, which is why when Bush & Co. say the Constitutional arrest, detention & trial protections don't apply because we're "at war", it's a bald faced lie. We aren't at war... war has not been declared pursuant to Constitutional requirements. GAAHHHHHHH!!!! In any other forum I'd agree with you. SC, just by the very nature of the discussions, is going to be a little more "personal". When you're talking politics, that's sort of a given. I'm not saying it should be a free-for-all, because way too many political arguments degrade into name-calling and finger-pointing with no real substance. Just that in here the standards should probably be a little less stringent than in, say, the BASE Zone. I honestly didn't think it was all that bad compared to other stuff I've seen (and said ), and I've come to expect that sort of thing from Anvil anyway. - Z "Always be yourself... unless you suck." - Joss Whedon

It's not. But I wasn't going to argue full faith & credit to a guy who probably didn't really give a rats ass... let alone understand the concept. Well, what was about to come out of my mouth was... "Let me get this straight... I was supposed to know in advance that Virginia required PAPER documentation (I'd argue a window sticker is still documentation) even though my own home state doesn't require it... just because I was passing through? And since when do Virginia registration documentation requirements apply to a Texas registered vehicle?" Happened 2 years ago. And, no... fortunately I didn't have to fight it because I got a certification of registration from TXDPS and mailed it to VA along with my payment for the speeding ticket only. Something very akin to this happened to me on the way to Bridge Day while driving through Virginia. I got stopped for speeding. The cop walks up and asks for my driver's license and vehicle registration. I hand him my license and point to the registration sticker on my front windshield. He said "No. You have to have a registration document in Virginia." I politely pointed out that my car wasn't registered in Virginia. It was registered in Texas, and Texas doesn't require a doument, it only requires the window sticker. He replied "Virginia requires a document". Of course by this point I realize nothing I say is going to stop him from wrtiting me up so I just drop it. Sure enough he wrote me up for speeding and driving without a valid registration. So it's back to the old terrorist excuse again huh? One small problem... THE TERRORISTS AREN'T IN IRAQ. They're in Afghanistan and Pakistan (and to a lesser degree, Iran). If we spent 1/4 of the energy & resources in those places that we did in Iraq... Osama would be long since captured or dead. This was wasn't about terrorism and it wasn't about WMD.
