Well I had a Voodoo 3 on an AMD 600. Lasted me about 2 years, which is pretty darn good, but it just couldn't keep up anymore, so it was upgrade time for me. I'll prolly upgrade the MB/CPU next since I eventually want to have a dedicated box for my webserver & then the "hot" box for my day to day stuff. -------- Zennie "I know the pieces fit. I don't think anybody has ever been convicted of "BASE jumping" per se. Not even in the national parks (there it's "air delivery", believe it or not). Heh. You get that too eh? One of the guys with 600+ jumps held the "slow packer" title until I took over. I've settled into a routine. It's just that that routine takes about 1/2 hour to complete. Yeah those were the two I was kinda thinking of that would be hard... especially A. You got the B covered with Bridge Day. I think there are some legal cliff jumps in Utah (could be wrong) so that's E. The trick with B & A would be persuading the owners that they wouldn't get sued if you bounced. I'm not sure any sort of waiver would be sufficient in today's legal climate. As far as the getting caught bit goes. I do have a record from stupid stuff I did in college. Whether I'd get a break because of the time is a different matter (I can't control my race, so I'm going to leave that aspect alone) but I really can't chance it. I've even thought about low-altitude-quasi-BASE jumps from a balloon (be too afraid of the prop wash on a heli). I dunno. I thought about posting this over at the BASE Board, but they can be a little touchy over there, so I'll just toss this out for discussion here. Does anyone know of anyone who has gotten the acronym legally? This would seem especially hard in the US, but someone has to have done this. Are there any BASE jumpers out there who only do legal jumps? I'm not trying to disparage those who haven't. I just know if I were to BASE jump (*AHEM*) I would pretty much have to limit myself to legal jumps to keep my marriage intact.
