MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD If you don't want to know anything about the movie, stop reading and step away from the computer. I'm off to work, but I at least wanted toget a spoiler thread going. I'll post my initial impressions a bit later. But for starters, the JarJar scenes were mercifuly short. And he didn't replace them with some other stupid cutesy character. So that was good. Hey! The subject said no spoilers! "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

It's 2:45 am & I'm beat. I liked it. A lot...

Sorry you had to go through that. I've had similar problems with insurance companies. Not fraud per se, but htem dragging their feet to make the payments they are obligated to make. I honestly think their strategy is to get you so frustrated that you just go ahead and make the payments in order to get the problem resolved. The wear-em-down-till-they-submit tactic seems pretty popular these days. Big corporations seem to be really good at taking your money, but incredibly bad at ponying up when it's their turn. Dunno. Never seen one, but being the devout agnostic that I am, I ain't ruling it out either. "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

I'm in the "someone will do it" camp, but this guy ain't it. The wingsuit design looks cheesy compared to the newer Bird-Man designs and I agree with folks here that the ski idea is really a bad one. How the heck is he gonna fly them? I mean look at how your feet are oriented when flying a wingsuit. Now attache a pair of skis to them and fly it? I don't think so. Well, that wasn't really what I was referring to, but I'll take your word for it. "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

We follow the rules as you've stated them and we still have discussions about exit order. For example, where should a hybrid go in the mix? Should people strictly sitflying go out before the head downers? The rule we've been tending toward lately is slowest to fastest fallers. With high pullers, tandems, students, etc. going last. So I'd put a hybrid between the RW folks & sitfliers, and the sitfliers out before strictly head downers. I've always sort of wondered whether group size with freefly is really all that relevant. Unlike RW, where you have a connected group, FF skydives generally are "unconnected" with the occasional dock. So the wind is acting on one person, it's just there are a bunch of single persons in the same part of the sky. In freefly exit order, I would think the more important factor would be the average fall rate for the group (unless you're doing a FF big way). ARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! Of all the weekends for fun stuff it has to be the weekend I'm out of town at my brother's wedding. Any chance that they'll still be around on Memorial Day? "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

Future? How 'bout now? You seen that shot of her in the halter top holding the blaster? Wowzers! Speaking of which, anyone seen the TV Guide that has Ewan Macgregor as the "young" Obi-Wan morphing into the Alec McGuiness "old" Obi-Wan? Really, really eerie how they got the look right. FWIW, I'll post a poll after I've seen the latest installment and give my "rankings" of the Star Wars episodes to date. As of now it's... 1. The Empire Strikes Back 2. A New Hope 3. The Phantom Menace 4. Return of the Jedi I put ROTJ last because its bad parts are just abysmal (i.e. pretty much the whole Ewoks sequence). About the only redeeming parts are the Jabba's Palace and final showdown scenes. Have to give a slight nod to Phantom Menace despite Jar Jar and the generally bad dialogue. In the skimpy suit she had on in Jabba's palace. "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

We kicked this around in the Wingsuit forum recently. I found some weight/size numbers and did a rough calculation. Rocky is loading around .39. "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

LOL. Sure it is, just the Dark Side. C'mon, there aren't any other Han Solo fans? I worded the subject a bit strongly to foster discussion. I've been to every Star Wars movie in their original showings. In fact, I've been to every Star Wars movie on their opening day except Episode IV. I'll be watching Episode II on Thursday. I love the series, it just feels like the new series is missing something. Actually, the only part of ROTJ that I like is about the first and last 1/2 hour. I hate the Ewoks even more than Jar Jar. Ewoks must die!!! "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

OK, they don't suck. The special effects are cool and I like the way they're delving into the Jedi philosophy a bit, but they just don't have that vibe that the old ones had. I've been wondering why for a while and while watching Episode IV for the umpteen-millionth time it hit me... there's no Han Solo character. Han Solo, in a lot of ways, made the "second" three films. There's no happy-go-lucky-tough-but-honorable-swashbuckler-guy in these films. We need a Han Solo! "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

I kind of lean in the "it's my student & my responsibility" direction personally (granted I'm not an instructor, but that would be my take if I were). Just an observation here, but all students should be wearing an AAD. Knowing a student had an AAD I'd prolly chase 'em down to around 1500-ish, pull my reserve & hope their AAD fires. Now if I had someone who I knew didn't have an AAD (or if I wasn't sure) I'd prolly chase 'em till my own Cypres fired. And then you'd prolly need to heavily sedate me when I got down... 1:7:1 Lotsa fun jumps. Did a hybrid for one of our camera guys' 1000th (congrats Mykel!

Now folks, this is how you troll... with a purpose. Well done! "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

OK, at first I thought this whole thing was just a spoof site, and it still may be, but if so it's every bit as elaborate as Landover Baptist. What really blew my mind is that he's straight. I've known quite a few gay folks in my time. Some you'd never know were gay and some who were pretty effeminate. If you look at the photos he just buries the needle on the Poofter-Meter. But you go to his personal section, he explicitly states he's looking for a female. As open as he's been about everything else, I don't see why he'd lie about that. So anyway, as usual, looks can be very deceiving. Well, other than the fact that he's just a little bit out there. "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

Nah. Suit's too tight. Put some grippers on and he'd be good to go for RW though. "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

Yep. Jumping your own pack job is a big milestone. And a real confidence booster. "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

My condolences to his family & friends. BSBD "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

Yup. That's what it all boils down to. "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

Now I just go by CILTMF. Can I Land This Mofo? "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."

The big difference is that it doesn't spank you on openings the way the "old" Sabre did. I flew a 150 demo when I still had my "regular" 150 and to be quite honest I didn't notice much of a difference in flying characteristics. But I only put a couple of jumps on the demo so take that with a grain of salt. I'm sure others here have put more jumps on both and can offer more insight. I do, and that's all I'm saying. "Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense."
