  1. Thanks Phree. Does your burner do CD or DVDs? We do our videos on DVD, so I'm looking to see if I can put the video and stills all on one DVD. Any thoughts? 2. Are there any that will allow me to pick and choose which pictures I want to burn off of my flash card? Say for instance in a day I shoot 4 tandem shots am I able to keep all of those shots and put 20 for jumper A on this disk and 20 of jumper B on that disk. Or would I need to empty the card after before jumper B goes? Does that make sense? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 3. I didn't take it off all weekend, I love it. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 4. Easy question... I'm ordering a switch for my XTi today and I don't have it in front of me to look at. Is the jack for the remote switch a 2.5mm jack or a digital plug? Thanks guys. 5. Oh now Val don't say that or you'll get people thinking that I won't jump with RW people. Obviously you haven't seen my sit as it's a work in progress as well. Hope to see you for the 4of July Boogie if I can squeeze it in. I'm pretty sure I can make the drive in 7 hours or just a tad over that. 7. I can't stand Mayweather but I think he'll be too much for De La Hoya. I'd like to see a younger De La Hoya (34 now) vs. the 30 year old Mayweather. I hope I'm wrong and Oscar wins but I doubt it. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 8. That's really impressive. It's always nice to see people set a goal and then stick to doing the work it takes to accomplish it. ""There is no sudden leap into the stratosphere... 9. Well made a trip to Chicago to see an old friend. Decided to hop on over to CSC to get a few jumps in. What a great place! The people were friendly, the plane was fast, had a stereo and the jumps were good. My friend did a tandem jump with Eric Bickel as her TI and Nathan Dexter as her videographer. They were both great and Nathan's video is one of the best I've ever seen. She had a blast! I got a jump in with Matty Wright who is good coach and is a great flier. I also was fortunate enough to meet dz.coms very own Vallerina who was very nice. Due to weather we never got to do a jump together, but next time we will. Last but not least the office staff (Melissa and Lisa) were very nice as was Doug the owner. Overall great time. Go see them if you get a chance. 10. Thanks. Can you post a picture of the security thing you use in #1? Thanks again. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  11. Hey guys quick question: I've got a Rawa that I've been jumping for about a year now. Once or twice it's come lose. For instance I'll stick my head out to check the spot and it feels like it unlatches a few notches? Suggestions? I know it's tight before I stick my head out there. Maybe I bumped the release on the way out. 2nd question: Can I buy a cutaway system for the Rawa and if so where? Thanks Mods: I wasn't sure if this belonged in Photography and Video or Gear. Feel free to move if necessary. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 14. I went and did a hypoxia class, and it was awesome! :-D What made it even better is it was free. I learned some cool things and got a free book. The highlight was the chamber ride which was great. I went almost the full 5 minutes (at 25000 AGL) and then had to have my mask put back on, my oxygen saturation was 36 or 38% at the time. I noticed at 1 minute I felt very warm and my skin felt flushed. At about 2 minutes the feeling was intensified. At 4 minutes I wrote twitchy on my checklist, but I don't really recall doing it. Then sometime after that they put my mask on and in about 4 breaths I was fine. Then I kept my mask on and observed someone else take their mask off. It was interesting to watch them slow down and make notes on their body language. Then they dimmed the lights and we went down to 18000AGL and removed the masks again. It was interesting to see the difference at night with and without oxygen after only a few minutes. It was crazy. I should be getting the DVD in the mail sometime this week and will post it on skydivingmovies or something along those lines. I plan to go do another ride to see if I get the same warm feeling as the 1st time. Overall I thought it was a great experience at least for me. 15. Yeah rower myself, now just a coach. I hardly get into a shell anymore but still do a fair amount of ergging. I've got a model D at home so I don't even have to go on to campus anymore except for practice
  16. Icon do you use a Concept 2 rowing machine or another brand? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  17. Joe for a second I thought you were going to say you went to a show and saw the band SR71, but the plane is pretty cool as well. 18. Just letting everyone know that I got back from Spring Break and took around 300 pictures without any issues. None of them were skydiving, but here's what I was doing. 20. Yep brand new from B&H. I thought the XTi's have the self cleaning sensor? When I look into the body there is a little tilted mirror/piece of glass. Can I lightly blow on it to make sure no dust is on that surface? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 21. I got my XTi about 2 weeks ago and love it. I haven't jumped it yet but have been taking a ton of pictures on the ground. I've noticed that on some of the recent pictures I have a few specs of stuff in the photo. When looking at the lens it's clean. Any suggestions? See attached picture you can see small dots throughout the sky. Thoughts? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 24. I'll be stopping at Skydive Dallas on the 24th for a day of jumping. I'll be there with some other folks from Kansas. If you see a big trailer in the parking lot that says "Kansas Crew" on it with 60 foot boats that's me. Any wingsuiters planning on being out there that weekend? 25. Nice bike. You'll be surprised at those smaller bikes. They may not be as fast on the straights but if you practice you'll be able to lay them way over in the curves.
