    Manchester Barton airfield, This Cessna 185 G-BKPC is used as a parachute drop aircraft at Cockerham in Lancashire 37 miles north of Barton. On take-off it is belived to have hit an earth mound and lost part of the left main gear. The pilot climbed to a altitude suitable to drop the sky divers off then set off for Barton burning off fuel and giving the emergency services plenty of time to assemble. The Pilot (See local Manchester newspaper web sites for his name) was unharmed in the landing and walked away. Well done that Man !     First jump - Fell asleep at pull time My friends always ask what that means when they look through my stuff.     Sorry for my "casual" use of words there, it was a lazy post, i'm spanking my brain right now. I've had the practice vest on every day at the DZ and get everything right, i phrased it all wrong in my post. What i meant to get at is i was wondering if a horseshoe can develope into a bag lock from what my instructor told me to do in my EP's? 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit.     A bag lock plays on my mind all the time for some reason and i've been told to throw my throw away if it happens. I've been told that this most likely wont deploy the chute. Is this practice just to get more drag for a more successful cut-away? Also what are the chances of the parachute coming out the bag when you do throw out your PC?     I used to get a lift to work with a Dr of science who taught at Cambridge, he told me about a time when he was a student and worked with a canadian Prof who made a room and basically bombarded you with electro magnetic waves or something. He said multiple subjects experienced visions and even heard voices. They went to one womens home who experience shit at night and found that there was a huge cock up in her electrical wires above her bed. But then i also done a ouija board withfriends and it said death. The next day a guy jumped in front of a lorry, it was the women who owned the house son.     Keep your mouth shut and breath through your nose, felt like i swallowed razor blades. lots of thin layers that wont restrict you and a quality pair of gloves. I didnt actually realise how cold my hands were and i was using my front risers to penetrate into the wind, got to about 500ft and found it really hard to get my hands back on my steering toggles because they were so numb, pretty dumb move but im glad i done it nice and high. 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit.     Well im just back from the DZ and grinning from ear to ear. I just did my final consol jump and earned my A Last lift of the day so no tandems, just students and experienced jumpers and we went to 13,500 which was cool. I'm so pleased with all the work everyone put in from the instructors making sure i didnt kill myself to the rigger getting all my gear ready. I just love this sport, time to get shit faced i think Andy 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue.

    I done two center floats and one rear the other day and just couldnt get the hang of it, but i done my hop n pop with a poised exit which made life a lot easier. And as for differant folks differant strokes, it couldnt be more true. I didnt fail a level but i've probably only landed in the correct field (large field) 60% of the time, and it took me 10 jumps to nail a stand up 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit.
