I agree with you, but it really has nothing to do with the pro or anti gun argument. Many "objects" have been banned or severly limited because they are bad for people or society.

I am wondering is part of the ceasefire agreement that the soldiers get handed over? Nobody really seems to talk about them anymore....

Not really, what is special is that the lady I share my bed (and life) with is more than willing to oblige whenever I ask...now, that is special :-)

How about a blowjob?

I have spent a ton of money to get to this boogie and no-one will confirm what kind of washer you are using...I am starting to feel like I have wasted all my money....don't you know how much money I have already spent??????

Isn't this the kind of thing you want to NOT say?
SkyDekker replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
Off course they did, the chief of staff of the Israeli army sold all his shares three hours after the abduction and just as Israel started fighting. -

And the US troops are in Iraq to create freedom. In light of the past couple of years, I'd say they have prooved themselves ineffective and inadequate. -
Oil is such a small part of their economy. It may have given it a boost, but their economy is based on many other things, most notably trade. Now, remember we are talking about Dubai, not another part of the UAE. Prior to the discovery of oil in the UAE, Dubai's port was still generating a lot of money and keeping Dubai with a strong economy. The same could not be said for other parts of UAE.

Once you start interpretting laws left or right certainly comes into play. It always has and it always will.
-
Oil has very little to do with the booming economy in Dubai. Dubai's oil reserves run out in 2010 and their economy will still be running strong...

Isn't the Supreme Court "balanced" to the Right now?
-
I thought the LEft was useless and destined to fail and nobody would ever vote for them cause they don't stand for anything? Now they are scary and communist and will cause the downfall of the US? Will you please make up your fucking mind which one it is..... (I see scare tactics are still high on the list of the US Right.)

Ireland's economy is flying, what is this money for?

At least you admit it is drivel, since that is exactly what the changes to the Act would do.

Parachutes in airliners are a NO GO in England...
SkyDekker replied to piisfish's topic in The Bonfire
I can understand the posters who are worried that these measures really don't resolve anything and in away I agree. However, think of the logistics, economy and time frames involved. On very short notice many big decisions need to be made and need to be communicated to both travellers and security personel, to be implemented immediately. No training, no advance notice. In cases like that, it is by far the easiest to keep things simple. No liquids and gels, with very, very, very few exceptions, is easy to communicate and easy to check. It really was their only option. The only other option would be to not do anything, which I don't think is a viable alternative. I agree that the whole system needs to be looked at, but that is a seperate issue from the reaction to this latest thread. -
US Govt' sells child porn and then arrests buyer

Good to see some reasoned and sensible logic in SC. I agree. -
When did fascism actually take hold in the US?
SkyDekker replied to cumplidor's topic in Speakers Corner
That depends. If "the government" makes it clear that if you report negatively about them or if you give the opposition too much "air time" you will never get an interview with a senior government official again, or you will never be given a scoop again, then it would fall udner a form of government supression. (I am not saying this is what is happening, just debating the point raised.) -
Are we getting snowed with this terror plot?
SkyDekker replied to kelpdiver's topic in Speakers Corner
Up until now it would look the same, as it did in the previous two cases. But at some point some actual hard, credible evidence has to come forward. Not just, we are telling you this is what was going to happen. Not after being wrong twice, with one guy dead and one guy shot. -
Are we getting snowed with this terror plot?
SkyDekker replied to kelpdiver's topic in Speakers Corner
No, we are being told that is what happened. Especially the Brits tend to be extra careful these days with what they are being told, they DO actually learn their lesson. On two previous occassions they were told about this grand terror plot that was foiled, both times it turned out to be a grand lie. I can understand them being sceptical this time..... -
Can you tie a cherry stem in a knot with your tongue?
SkyDekker replied to jumpjunkie2004's topic in The Bonfire
yes I can, and if the stem is long enough I can do a second knot as well. -
I just want some of the pills he is taking...damn they must be good.

I see it in my line of work daily, institutional ownership of real estate will eventually kill it.

Yup, by Roman catholics saying...Well, that can't be true....

You mean how the Roman Catholic Church spoke out against Hitler? Turns out the Vatican may have been helping Hitler in his plot to eradicate jews from the world...
