Why are you equating a multi party environement with "oddball candidate"? The Netherlands for instance has at least 4 to 5 mainstream political parties, not oddball candidates. So, how does the centre get established in that environment? We're speaking of the political situation in the US, not the Netherlands - *do* try to keep up. I think having one beer or one cigarette or one shot of heroin are slightly different. And "tax the shit out of them" has the same effect as makin them illegal.

Don't think it called for breaking current contracts. Thought it called for suspension of official travel and prohibition of entering into new contracts.

If not, at what age are you ok with drug use? We have decided as a society that people need to reach a certain age of maturity before they come into their full rights. I think that is self-apparent and should be continued. Obviously underaged persons are unprepared to make these decisions and to allow them to do so would cause them harm. Now, to be fair, plenty of adults seem unprepared to make good decisions as well. I would recommend letting those people suffer the consequences of their actions. It's a great teacher. Let me be clear: some claim they are Libertarians when they are truly anarchists. As I posted above, there are some minimal needs for government and regulation. I just think there are lots of things the government and it's parties get involved in that have no governmental interest. I think this can be traced to two parties that both want to regulate how others live. In this matter, I see little to distinguish them from each other. The US is a nanny state? The issue remains that not all illegals are freeloaders. Not all illegals are brown skinned. All groups think that those who come after them are not as good. Sure the courts can find him innocent, they found OJ Simpson innocent as well. In my mind OJ Simpson is still guilty. Do you have a problem with that as well?

Then why don't you start doing your job....cop. Why don't you go to your local WalMart and start arresting people returning merchandise they paid for? There are a lot of WalMarts in the US. I wonder how many people have gotten arrested for returning merchanidse they paid for? This counter argument would only hold water if you can establish that every person killed or injured at Kent was somebody who committed a violent, illegal act. (even then it is pretty questionable, but let's start there) Can you?
