Well written assessment. have to say though that I don't think the GOP has any interest in truly making any draconian cuts. They had the chance right after Clinton with full control of both houses and the presidency, yet they didn't do anything.

Actually, they tend to build them curved to better deal with the pressure. -
No no, that's when the card board image was made. When was the actual cowboy santa born? See, according to you, kids in Texas know that when baby jesus was born, guns did not exist. So, to make that relevant, now the kids need to know when cowboy santa was born.

When was cowboy santa born?

Only young kids believe in santa. Cowboy santa with guns, funny image for adults, very powerful image for young kids who believe. People of all ages believe in baby jesus. Baby jesus with gun, very powerful image for all who believe in baby jesus. Both are well recognizable images, almost the world round. Most will also recognize that for some it is not just santa and just a baby. As for gun possession, I think todlers should have them. There would be far less fights over the sharing of toys in JK.

I wonder how many people would have a different reaction to a baby jesus with a gun.

Since when did tax cuts 'cost' the government?
SkyDekker replied to airdvr's topic in Speakers Corner
When you put a budget together, you look at expected income and base expenses on that. In this case, the expected income was based on the tax cuts expiring, which would increase revenue. If the tax cuts don't expire it would cost the government that budgeted revenue. Just a figure of speech, don't think it really warrants looking for any secret messages, Same when your wife comes home and says she saved $100 by spending $1,000. -
Organized crime is involved with black market tobacco. If you don't want crime involved, you have to ensure there is no black market. This means it will have to be legal for all ages and not heavily taxed. I want to see the first politician standing up for low cost meth and crack in JK!!

I live in Toronto, it can get a little cold here sometimes. Whe I leave my house for longer periods, I set my thermostat for around 45 and turn off my water. That way if for some reason a pipe does burst (black out), there is very limited water.

That may be part of it. However, once business get used to doing the same or more work, with less people and costs, it takes a long time before they start hiring again. They just make people work harder for the same or less money. It is in the interest of the owners to do so. Creating jobs is certainly not always in the interest of the owners, and should only be done if it creates more profit.

Congratulations, but what is this Facebook thing you speak of?

I agree with you in general. Though I am somewhat surprised people need justification to understand Sarah Palin is an idiot. Unless of course, they have been living under a rock.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financetopics/financialcrisis/8160999/EU-rescue-costs-start-to-threaten-Germany-itself.html "Germany cannot keep paying for bail-outs without going bankrupt itself," said Professor Wilhelm Hankel, of Frankfurt University. "This is frightening people. You cannot find a bank safe deposit box in Germany because every single one has already been taken and stuffed with gold and silver. It is like an underground Switzerland within our borders. People have terrible memories of 1948 and 1923 when they lost their savings." Can you rationalize how paying for bail-outs makes Germany a failure?

She lied about her date of brith, name and circumstance in her asylum application in The Netherlands. She has admitted to the first two, but denies the third. Her family has confirmed the third. When the political party she worked for refused to pay for her security bills, she switched allegiance to another party, willing to pay her bills. When the Dutch finally had enough of paying her security bills, she left. Her actions tell me she will say anything to benefit herself.

John, It all depends on what you want to use the phone for. If you are mainly interested in email/communication, the blackberries are almost untouchable. Nobody does email as well as Blackberry. plus Blackberry messenger blows any other mobile chat platform out of the water. If you are more into games, music etc, then you are more into the Iphone/android area.
