  1. I think you may want to look up a working definition of dodging. No, that would still ban them from public use. Which I am not in favour of. As stated previously, I do like the idea of people not being able to use them when intoxicated.
  2. Bit of a silly argument trying to relate that to guns. Since that would mean you could buy and possess guns without a license or registration. But as soon as you want to use it for its intended purpose registration, licensing and insurance is required. Don't think you would support that concept for guns.
  3. On star can also be triggered remotely and conversations can be listened to and vehicles tracked.. It really is quite similar as what Bill is suggesting. Information about location of (insert gun or car) can be obtained if a crime has been committed with it.
  4. It would certainly make black market dealers of guns without GPS very rich.
  5. Because I do not believe in banning anything. I do like the idea of rendering the car useless if intoxicated. Who is dodging again?
  6. God is the reason for acting? I thought you didn't believe in God, therefor he could not be a reason for acting. I thought you believed in people being responsible for their own actions? If that is the case, you cannot blame God or religion for people's actions. Just as you cannot blame the guns.
  7. No Now you are just pulling statements out of a hat. You know from asking these same questions in another thread, that is is not true. I do not support the first two, but would support the alcohol interlock. Right, but you wanted the judge not to have that option. So, how do you fix that?
  8. Because it would take the fun out of racing stock production cars on the track. Why aren't you answering my other questions?
  9. In third world countries laws do tend to be more guidelines than laws. There is a significant difference. You have travelled a fair bit, so I somehow doubt you haven't noticed thisbefore. And I can understand that when comparing rates in countries a comparison to DC wouldn't be overly valid. In most cases that appears to be true though.
  10. They wouldn't be impacted. You mean there is a loophole in the law? How do you propose this loophole is closed?
  11. That doens't answer the question. What is the number of illegal guns in the US? No Yes I agree before we worry about the second-leading cause, let's look at the leading case, which is motor vehicle occupant related unintentional injuries. Since the current laws regarding child seats clearly are not preventing child death, do you agree that we should abolish all laws regarding child vehicle seats and seat belts?
  12. But, do you have anything to refute his statement?
  13. Lot of the evils in the name of God were committed with guns. Why is it that you have a problem with the God part, but not a problem with the guns part? I have no problem with people having murderous tendencies. I just prefer they use a nerf ball in stead of a gun. Having such a negative attitude about religion just hinders good people, doing good things in the name of God. Why are you against good people doing good things?
  14. I never made those statements, so hard to answer, but to make you happy: 0 more. It doesn't. Obviously it doens't work fine, there is still crime in Florida. My question was, what punishment will eradicate crime?
  15. You were saying? is pretty pedantic by my definition. Anyways, back to the topic. I called bullshit and you came back with two issues, both from people who are "so last year". Do you have anything other than pot calling kettle black stuff?
  16. Religion doesn't kill people. People kill people.
  17. See, that is a replyy that makes sense and that I agree with. The motherhood statement that normally get's thrown out is so fucking stupid, specially in comparison to this.
  18. That's not what you said, you said laws don't stop criminals. Then you said you need to increase punishment to stop criminal behaviour. I have asked you what punishment you think would work. Why are you refusing to answer?
  19. What is the number of illegal guns in the US? (plus a source please, I have been having a hard time finding an estimate for this). Great motherhood statement. But, what does it mean? Does it mean we should just do nothing?
  20. You already kill people as punishment, that doesn't stop criminals. What punisment should be introduced that you think will eradicate crime?
  21. How do you figure that? as per link in OP. germany has 6.4 million legal and 20 million illegal guns. Population 80 million US in 2009 had an estimated 280 million guns in circulation (not sure of that includes illegal guns) and a population of 306 million. How do you get more per person in Germany from that?
  22. Seriously, can somebody explain this logic to me? No law will ever stop all people, no law will stop criminals (they by definition break laws). How is this possibly a logical reason against gun laws? It just sounds silly when people say or type it.... (No, this does not mean that I think all guns should be banned, or that people in the US should not have a right to their firepower. I just don't understand the logic of the statement)
  23. What we discuss here can get so petty... Two US soldiers have been shot and killed outside Frankfurt Airport. My heart goes out to their families, friends and loved ones... http://news.sky.com/skynews/Article/201009115944217
  24. Do you understand the meaning of the word every? (plus that mayor has been replaced with a newer version, we went from communist to right wing with our mayors.) Paul martin is two PMs ago. We now have a right wing PM. And once again, the meaning of the word every eludes you... Indeed....
