Of course while increasing spending on the military to protect yourselves from countries run by religious dogma. -
Y'all Hate Bush and detest war in the Middle East . . .
SkyDekker replied to turtlespeed's topic in Speakers Corner
I notice that no one here wants to address the moments by Obama, comparing Hillary to Bush. Why is that? Have you ever said anything bad to your girlfriend or wife. Or maybe to a sibling? Maybe called your brother or sister stupid? If I then call your brother/daughter/wife/son/sister stupid would you defend them? Would you have been lying at some point? I mean you are comparing statements made ":within the family" to statements made "outside the family" and are wondering why they aren't the same. I highly doubt you aren't smart enough to figure it out on your own. -
Well, they announced it. I wonder what the counter response will be? [ForrestGumpVoice]Sorry to ruin your Black Panther Party. [/ForrestGumpVoice] Why would there be a counter response? Don't think too many people will dispute that? What it does seem like is that you are trying to suggest that anybody who thinks there might be some racial issues, are followers or sympathisers of the New Black Panther Party. Just too hard to hide your racism and hatred of niggers isn't it?

Race Relations in America, Getting Better or Worse?
SkyDekker replied to ridestrong's topic in Speakers Corner
I think A LOT of people, especially in the black community, thought that race relations would improve with a black president. However, it seems that things have only gotten worse, or at least that seems to be the general perspective. We seem to be heading in a more divisive direction than a unifying one... Race relations would be better or there would be a better focus on race relations? Of course when Obama makes any statement regarding anything race related he gets vilified for it. Because he does it in a very divisive fashion, just like he did with talks about the suspension of refugee programs even tho he suspended programs twice during his presidency. Rather than just stating the facts, he should also provide a bit of perspective on those figures as well - but then again, that would be viewed as making excuses for the cops, so I guess he's in catch 22. I would venture to guess he has witnessed first hand how black people get treated differently. His comments would then indeed be seen as divisive by those who believe that is no race issue in the US, or think it isn't that big of a problem since there is no slavery anymore. -

My understanding was that he posed an immediate threat to hostages and people nearby. Not sure that was the case here. The fact 5 cops got killed (no evidence he is responsible for 5 killings directly) should have no bearing on action taken. Would like to find out more about that decision making process.

Not sure yet how I feel about this. Would like to know a bit more information, like if simply waiting was an option. Seems a bit like an execution....or drone strike. It was a good kill... why do they need to wait for anything. The shooter didn't wait to see if he had any feelings about shooting the police officers. I love the form of justice used by the Dallas police officers. That's exactly the attitude I would have a problem with. Kind of the same attitude that leads to people ambushing cops.

Race Relations in America, Getting Better or Worse?

Not sure what black president has to do with any of it. I think that the prominence of video is forcing people to see the level of racism still spread throughout society. -

Until the suspect actually reveals a weapon, yes, that is precisely what I am saying. So any criminal that wants to shoot a cop just needs to keep their weapon hidden until they're ready to shoot or better yet, just shoot through their clothes. Or if they want to attack a cop as long as they don't have a weapon that's fine. As an ordinary citizen your job is not to investigate, search, detain, and arrest people. Actually, According to one side in this conversation, if you want to kill a cop, just wait for a protest to happen, then the killing should be buried into a lesser message, and not addressed until the murder of black males stops. What an incredibly retarded statement. I see you are in full blown troll mode again.

In the case of Alton Sterling the police had him completely pinned to the ground --the police had complete control of the situation --and they still shot him. This doesn't justify the actions of the two non peaceful people tonight in Dallas. But there is a reason why people are angry at cops and I don't think the cops are sensitive enough to that. Just watched the videos but would not say they had complete control plus he was armed. Will need to wait until investigation is complete. The one in Missouri seems to be along your lines. Stopped for broken tail light. Informs officer he is licensed to carry and has a gun. Officer asks to see his driver's license. Then proceeds to shoot him four times in front of his girlfriend and with his 4 year old daughter in the back seat. Then, in stead of rendering first aid, he keeps his gun on him until he bleeds out and dies. There is also another video of a man being told to get his ID and as he reaches in his truck gets shot. There is also another video of a man running away and getting shot in the back. I am sure there are many more.

Is America finally ready to talk about guns?
SkyDekker replied to normiss's topic in Speakers Corner
It is better in many other civilized countries with stricter gun laws. It is worse in many countries with high gun ownership. -
Can someone please explain the logic behind this to me?
SkyDekker replied to turtlespeed's topic in Speakers Corner
???? A "rap sheet" usually refers to a criminal record. Bush had a known history of drug and alcohol abuse, and he used his family connections to evade serving in Vietnam. What the hell are you talking about? He got a free ride on his name. I'm just talking out of my ass - but if all the controversy around Hillary over the years surrounded Bush at that time, I doubt he would've been elected. Bush was a bumbling idiot with a coke and alcohol addiction who had accomplished absolutely nothing in life that wasn't related to his last name. The family fortune comes from dealing with the Nazis. Yet, there was not much of an issue electing him, so I doubt that your statement is true. -
Well - it looks like the FBI is going to get another chance at her. Do you believe in the concept of double jeopardy? If you think that applies in this context, you certainly don't! Uh huh . . . How many times should the government be allowed to "investigate" an incident involving a person after repeatedly finding not enough evidence to even try the person once? Should that be something that is allowed to happen for the rest of a person's life? Unfortunately, yes. She hasn't been "put in jeopardy" (put on trial) at all. They haven't charged or tried her. So the idiots in Congress can "investigate" her as many times as they want. The FBI can continue to investigate her as long as it wants. She can be indicted any time they decide they have enough evidence to warrant charges (subject to the statute of limitations, of course). Fortunately, the FBI & Justice Dept seem to have enough sense to realize that there isn't sufficient evidence to bring charges. The Rs in congress on the other hand... Back to the weird combo of the Energizer Bunny and Arnie's first shot at the Terminator. This!

And you think campaigning against Clinton, thereby helping Trump become president is the best way to ensure nothing bad happens in the future? Don't think Trump has a much better record being honest. You sound like Bush. If you aren't with us, you are against us. I would be very happy if there was a viable third party candidate. Even with these two deplorable candidates there is no viable third party candidate on the horizon. So in this case, practically speaking it is pretty binary yes. Now that that has been explained, you going to answer the questions or just keep dodging like a politician? You do not vote here do you? If not.... Shove off! I do not give a fuck what you think of any candidate running here I wasn't taking to you little boy. Go ask mommy for a sucker.

Somebody on LSD with a side of meth makes more sense than you do.

That's a big thing to say!

Not a big fan of following the law? How much are willing to be lied to before enough is enough? Bush was fine, but now, now you are upset. Makes perfect sense. -

As a check against a standing army. These days I would include police with the standing army. -
And Ms. Clinton has not been found guilty of anything. Care to tell us why you hate so much? Jerry Baumchen http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4804752;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread Watch the featured video. How much do you like blatant lying shoved in your face and special treatment handed out? Did it kill hundreds of thousands and give rise to ISIS? Your selective "outrage" about politicians lying is pretty clear.

Isn't that a good definition for 'worthless'? Derek V No, not meeting objective and worthless are not the same. -

Oh, you scared me there for a second, it's just the government of Falcon Heights that is out of control. I guess the 2nd amendment is worthless based on the government of Falcon Heights being out of control, based on a video of a cop shooting someone. That escalated quickly. Well, let's invade! (That's kinda our go-to move.) I am having a bit of fun with this. I don't mean to offend, but it is a bit, "The sky is falling". Derek V Didn't say it was worthless. Just that it didn't meet the objective in this case, nor really any other case. It has been very worthwhile in making a lot of people very wealthy.
