So you got it from Facebook, never checked where it came from, never checked validity and then post it here as fact. No wonder you know better than scientists.

    Bear in mind that the Vancouver housing market is absolutely insane at the moment. The cost of a "benchmark" (= "average") detached house in the entire greater Vancouver area is now over $1.4 million dollars, and has been increasing by about 10%/year. If someone bought a house to live in, and a couple as rentals/investments, 15-20 years ago, they could easily have over $5 million in assets, and also owe property taxes on that $5 million. In most places, owning 3 houses would not make you a "multi-millionaire". Considering that the median income in Vancouver is only about $77,000, I wonder how sustainable the real estate bubble will be. Don All true, though then he wouldn't have lost the money in the market due to Brexit.

    That magazine capacity does make a difference, just not at higher capacities. If you limit magazine capacity at 1 or 2 it would limit the effectiveness of the weapon.

Houses at 200k x 2.5 ("almost three decent houses") =$500,000 loose. I don't believe the market overall is down 10%. So if you have a NW of $5,000,000....... Maybe some diversification is in order? Now might be a good time to buy..... Your numbers are correct. Classifying the $5,000,000 as net worth is wrong. It would be $5,000,000 of assets. Only one side of the Net Worth picture.

    Nit really. Derek likes to guide people into a gotcha moment. His end argument is always the same, it is a constitutionally protected right and therefor should not be touched. There really is no arguing, or discussing anything beyond that. When any suggestions are made, he wants to know which specific incident would have been prevented. The discussion he wants to have is intellectually dishonest, but he hides it well. You don't. The question becomes, why maintain a society in which this happens so often?

I KNOW that my portfolio has shed so much value since Thursday evening through to this morning, it equates to almost three decent homes within 30 minutes of Skydive AZ. And I am NOT part of the damned 1%. Lovely. Same here, but I am still a pretty active contributor so I see it more as if everything is on sale.
