Because he hasn't personally been affected. And any restriction would personally affect him. All dressed up in some asinine "freedom, fuck yeah" argument. Remember the US is the land where mass murder a day is freedom and health care a privilege. Basic human decency is not part of the picture.

So stupid. You ask for an opinion and then when given an opinion indicate not everybody agrees with that opinion. All of course while haughtily pretending you want honest conversation and debate. Here is a relatively simple law that would reduce the number of gun deaths. All guns have to have a biometric safety system in place, allowing only the owners to shoot them. Only such fitted firearms are allowed to be carried in public. All new firearms are to be sold with such a system in place. 2. no more concealed carry, no more open carry. You are allowed to own firearms and keep them in your house or shoot them on private property. 3. firearm owners have to start carrying insurance for each firearm they own. Insurance to cover any unlawful activity committed with the gun, including any activity after such firearm has been stolen. You will never agree that any restriction is worth a reduction in gun deaths, so really another stupid question. At least probably only until somebody puts a bullet in a loved one.

perfect, let's do the same with guns then. Roughly what we have in Canada.
-
Oh. OK. Then what is the eventual goal? 10 mass murders/year? 5? 1? Derek V How about less than a mass shooting a day? Maybe get closer to Somalia shooting incidents? How's that for a goal?

It will be a good day when I can open that bottle of wine I am saving....

Ivanka, Trump Jr. Fraud, CASH, and a Little quid pro quo
SkyDekker replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
There are non-cash favours involved too. Just look at what the current Labor Minister did for Trump and Epstein as a prosecutor. -
On a personal finance website people tend to make fun of me for keeping a good chunk of my emergency fund in cash. I mean you can just go to the bank and get it out right.....
-
He is white, he deserves them. Only black people are undeserving. Other than his token black friend of course.
-
Finally something I can agree on with the president.
-
Yes like welfare that provides for poor people. That is exactly the same as tax dollars to billionaires and millionaires in a tax sheltered environment.
-
I know this comes as a complete shock, but Trump was actually a person before he became president. Shocking, I know. So, what he did prior to becoming president can still be attributed to him. Shocking right, holding people responsible for their actions. Such liberal snowflake whining right.....
-
And the policy was put in place after millions of tax dollars were paid to the NFL. Paid patriotism, the best kind.

Plus the 10 day reprieve from the Jones Act is a fucking joke. It does nothing and will actually be used as reasoning as to why the Jones act should be in place, all just to help people get rich off the hurricane and the suffering.
-
If Ron had really listened to the speech, he wouldn't be here. He would pretty squarely fall under the "get out" part.
-
ok Ruski. Let me guess, you also think it won't very much benefit Trump.
-
How do you think we are superior? I don't, but then I am not the one supporting the confederate flag and your version of fine southern culture.
-
How about people who wave the Confederate Flag? Absolutely I do. There is a saying in the mountains, "The best home security is to fly the Confederate Flag in your front yard." It represents the heritage of the South and not slavery. We lost that fight and we know it. However, the Spirit of the South is stronger than that. It is directly linked to the Spirit of America. The heritage of the south IS slavery. You only have to read the "Cornerstone Speech" and the declarations of secession to know that. NO, it is about people and I deal with people. You are right. It is indeed about people. It is about white people and how they are superior to black people.

This article sums up my point. It is not about the 1st Amendment, it is about stupid adolescent behavior that effects your income stream and focuses anger on yourself. https://sports.yahoo.com/news/advertisers-nfl-players-clean-act-040002466.html That article is from 2014 and is the advertisers' response to the NFL not being strict enough with players caught abusing their spouse. Quite frankly, I am surprised you would agree with that stance. However, it has absolutely nothing to do with the current protests.
-
I am sure a lot of people who support this argument, would quickly drop support for the same argument if applied to the 2nd amendment.
-
He probably does as much as you believe you are superior because you are white.
-
The divisive comments made by the President.
-
His selective outrage is very Christian.
-
Considering the patriotism on display has only been since 2009 in the NFL and only because the various branches paid for it. Basically the NFL figured patriotism made money. I get a decent kick out of all these idiots who find this faux patriotism so important. Because wanting to make your country better is disrespectful and standing up so the NFL can make more money is patriotism. Bunch of idiots.

The US and England should get together and carve out a piece of land and give it to them. What could possibly go wrong?
-
yup, and thankfully the flag doesn't get disrespected by being turned into a bikini. Or a rag to be put on a bald head to catch sweat. Big white tits in an American flag isn't disrespectful, but a black football player taking a knee, now that is a son of a bitch who should get fired. Those guys marching with Nazi flags, well lets remember there are some good people among them.
