I took your comment as an insult, if that wasn't clear. So welcome to my "specialty" I guess.

I think it is only polite to explain why you are bowing out of a conversation. Ie. the intention was to indicate that I wouldn't engage on that topic or respond to his "points" not to say i would not engage at all anymore. But thank you for your "captain obvious" useless addition to the topic.
-
There is such a multitude of either ignorance, bad faith, strawman and bad logic (or a mix of any of these) in there that I don't think it is worth engaging.

The debacle isn't green energy. Sounds like green energy is working very well, considering it was producing 1,000 megawatts of power. Seems pretty significant. This sounds more like a system design issue.

Yes we do. Hate speech for instance. And personally I am just fine with it. Edited to add: Ironic this "question" comes up on the day your government asks the Supreme Court to allow it to censor critics.

This really should be Trump's campaign song:

Findings In this cohort study, the number of deaths due to any cause increased by approximately 122 000 from March 1 to May 30, 2020, which is 28% higher than the reported number of COVID-19 deaths. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamainternalmedicine/fullarticle/2767980

I see that Trump has already offered his standard reply that basically comes down to: Barely know the guy. Edited to add: How long until we hear this is a deep state ploy?

Considering how closely Canada's performance is tied to the US' performance, I think I have plenty of skin in the game. The US has spent decades telling the world they are he best at everything and that they will be happy to use military might to "convince" those who disagree. Being told you are wrong is not "salt in our wound". And, I am not outraged at all. I am stunned by the stupidity on display in the US and the general unwillingness to help the country. The invention of "deep state", "Q" and all the other insane conspiracy theories are enough evidence of that. Am I the only one that sees the irony in the guy who came up with "build the wall" as a soundbite because the presidential candidate he worked for was too stupid to remember to talk about immigration, now is getting arrested for defrauding people who thought they were donating to build a wall?

This study is suggesting the exact opposite: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2768086

Don't find it any less offensive than the whole Prosperity theology. What I find more offensive than all of that, considering the above in the end is people making their own decisions, is forcing detained Muslims to eat pork.

Yup, that is the waze platform they bought a few years ago.

This reminds me of that lady who didn't realize she was on "Obamacare" while railing against it.

Probably because people like you have been downplaying the corona-virus from the start. People like you cause other people to die. But, we all know how important a haircut is right.....

Religion has always been a way for people to deal with reality. It provides a platform to allow followers to suspend the harshness of reality with a fable of their own imagination. Some quickly figured out that taking control of the fable was also a very effective way to control the masses and with it create wealth. This Q shit is no different than the walking on water shit, or the water into wine shit, or the parting of seas shit, or the heaven shit, or the virgin shit, or the hell shit, or etc. etc. etc.

Salute to WW2 Veterans on 75th Anniversary of VJ Day

My grandfather flew bomber missions on the B-25 with the 18th Squadron out of Australia flying missions against Japanese targets. -
I love how in the post before this you are complaining about liberals reacting to "red meat" for their "5 minutes of rage".

Those are good things. I don't think it is unusual for the USPS to be under a lot of scrutiny right now. Considering the Postmaster General. Add to that the President admitting he is withholding funding to fuck over the USPS' ability during the elections. Hard not to start seeing other issues in a nefarious light.
-
Actually Wapo said it was a mistake, should never have happened and changed the headline.
-
Shockingly sometimes issues have more than one facet.
-
Or maybe if we install a Postmaster General who would be best served by the USPS failing, the resulting reduced service levels I can use to convince people that mail in voting isn't feasible.
-
USPS let's 46 states know they aren't capable of delivering mail within election time frame. This truly is Banana Republic, shithole country level..... Sorry, we aren't capable of running an effective mail delivery service.

Not dumb. Trump stated that if Ebola even caused 1 death in the US Obama should resign. What is dumb is Republicans not holding to that sentiment with 170,000 dead and climbing. A chunk of those dead are due to the current president's mismanagement of the pandemic. But hey, Benghazi and buttery males right......
