I admit that liberalism indeed feels women should be allowed to have control over their own bodies. So if you want to rephrase that as "killing babies" go ahead. I mean, core American conservatism supports shooting them as soon as they are born as the price of freedom.

Liberals indeed want to give women control over their own body. Unlike Republicans who only want to give control to Republican men. recent statement by a Republican Senator is quite clear on that. Which brings us back: only do something if it enriches white men. Thank you for proving my point.

Doing nothing unless you can make money for white men is most certainly the foundation of the Republican party. Doing nothing, because at the time it mostly affected blue states is most certainly at the core of the current Republican Party.

There is no evidence to suggest that. They have resisted in the past. They have now decided to move ahead. If they really thought they could make more money not changing their name, they would not change their name.

Well, this Canadian would definitely chuckle if somebody didn't believe in gravity and jumped out of a plane without a parachute. I'd feel bad for their family, but would definitely feel like he had it coming. I don't see cases like this as any different. As the saying goes: if you are going to be stupid, you better be tough.

I agree with a large part of his article. It outlines how policy changes and laws have helped the environment. Not sure how he then argues there should not be policy changes an laws going forward.

Of course these companies have all decided to make these changes. There has not been legislation. Are you suggesting that companies should not act in a way they think best serves their shareholders?

It also took away from some other news that came out yesterday. How the White House scrapped plans for a national pandemic response, because at that time the virus was mostly in states with Democratic governors. White House felt that politically it was better to leave response to the States and then blame the Democratic governors. More than 150,000 dead because of pure politics. Must be great to have so much freedom and not live in a socialist hell hole like Canada.
