Until the actual text of the pardon is available, hard to say anything. Though on the above, Bill Barr stated during his confirmation hearing that would be a crime. There is also a statement from the White House which would indicate it only pertains to one of the three crimes.....

Of course that also means you will not be notified if you have been exposed during your time there.

Isn't it the right who is trying to cancel millions of votes right now?

I am still laughing that the guy who advocates for exterminating all muslims is upset about mask wearing enforcement.

Same here. But I can still go to a restaurant or bar with the people who live in my home.

for which crimes, if any, should Trump be prosecuted?

Yes, kind of the point of this part of the forum.- 156 replies

Not at all. I suggest people do get vaccinated. But it is a bit of a flyer.

He knows getting the GSA to sign the letter means he has lost, but he just states the opposite. His base will believe him, since it shows he is in control. Right, wrong, guilty, innocent doesn't matter here. What matters is who is in control. It will be easy to sell as a "power move." Specially since there will be a large uproar about it and lots of outrage.- 156 replies

That is easy. Your favourite president has never done anything wrong. All the best people say I have been the best and most honest president in the history of the United States. We know the horrible Deep State will continue to try and come after your favourite President. To stick it to those evil libtards I will step down and be pardoned so I can ensure to keep fighting for you against the evil of the Deep State. MAGA- 156 replies

In BC at least bars and restaurants have had to close earlier, and last call has been earlier because drinking has led to unsafe behaviour. Don't think we need a large scale study to see the logic in that. At the same time house parties have been shown to do the same thing. A curfew would touch on both of those and a few more.

Of course at the current time we also don't know what the long term effects are of the various vaccines. No mRNA vaccine has previously been approved and human testing of mRNA vaccines is not extensive at all.

Lastly, I can now see a scenario forming where Trump will resign and have Pence grant him and his entire family a pardon. (yes I understand that will still leave him open to state level prosecution)- 156 replies

How a country can have people spending life in jail for shoplifting and argue that the president should not be prosecuted for crimes is entirely too Banana Republic for me.- 156 replies

And considering "draining the swamp" was a big political battle cry in 2016, shouldn't criminal acts by politicians get more scrutiny? Isn't that what American people supposedly wanted?- 156 replies

I like the irony between the thought behind this message and the thought expressed in your signature line. The judicial system is your basic safety rule. Nixon got away with not having to face it and it would certainly seem it has removed the fear of consequences for presidents and has built (maybe false) confidence.- 156 replies

They tried that with climate change, but for years your party has been telling people that scientists cannot be trusted. Refusing to bend to science has been one of the driving forces in Trump's original election and ongoing support. Isn't it ironic....

No see, the problem is that there was any safety net. Things would be better if there was absolutely no safety net. -

Trump? Isn't that the guy who lives in subsidized housing and is refusing to work? Imagine how many kids could have gone safely to school if you had somebody competent leading the country. Somebody who could think about more than "What is in it for me".

And tax cuts for the rich that trickle down were base don Academic merit? Would seem you are just trying to weave things you dislike together: students, liberals and people of colour. -

The whole reason to give more money to rich people through tax-cuts is so they supposedly spend more money and it all trickles down. Yet for some reason giving money to students would not lead to them spending more money. As usual, Republicans stand for nothing.
