  1. Sure, just take the original posting. Man encounters black bear, which really has almost no risk associated with it. He fumbles loading a firearm, kills his brother and ends up killing himself. Two humans dead, bear alive. Bear spray would have deterred the bear and two humans are still alive. Little stern talking and waiving of the arms would have likely done the same thing. Black bear attacks are exceedingly rare.
  2. I am assuming that when you mentioned Brown bears you are referring to Grizzly bears. Just so people know, you cannot always tell the difference between black and grizzly (brown) bears by colour. Black bears come in many different shades, including brown and "white".
  3. My Pillow nutbar and company truck denied entry into Canada to join the trucker protest. Not understanding what spurned the protest led to them not being eligible for entry. https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/my-pillows-mike-lindell-barred-from-entering-canada-to-support-convoy-protestors
  4. Those numbers are very likely heavily skewed. Pretty much all provinces gave up on testing about a month into the Omicron wave. New case numbers are significantly higher than reported.
  5. This link from the Winnipeg Free Press seems to show that isn't true either. At least not for your province. I don't have numbers for your local hospital(s), but all indicators show that total numbers are pretty similar to previous waves.
  6. You originally said there aren't as many deaths in the current wave. That is simply not true. Yes the death rate per infection is lower, but the number of infections is significantly higher. End result, pretty much the same number of people dead. Chart is from this site.
  7. That's not true either. Canada's deaths per day and 7 day average below:
  8. That act is in Alberta. In BC body armour is legal if you have a PAL or RPAL.
  9. Deaths are a trailing indicator for the COVID pandemic. Not really the right data point to use determining current restrictions etc.
  10. In his defense....did I just really type that......the equal rise is supposed to happen in 30 years. Don't know his exact age, but not unlikely he is still around....
  11. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. The far majority of those firearms are unrestricted. You are allowed to transport unrestricted firearms for any reason as long as they are unloaded. Assuming of course they are legally owned to begin with. The two pistols are restricted and have much stricter transportation restrictions (again if legally owned) and will be near impossible to defend having at the protest.
  12. No grizzly's in Oregon anymore, only black bears. Most black bears respond pretty well to just a stern talking to, they really don't want to be around people much, unless they have been fed in the past.
  13. bear spray is a better tool for bear deterrent 99% of the time.
  14. Considering you are the one posting about him here......
  15. Did you know the position even existed prior to this? Do you know anything about his qualifications? So much for only judging based on qualifications and performance......
  16. Combination of both really. Trudeau has nothing to do with the far majority of the COVID measures in place since they relate to provincial jurisdiction. The convoy doesn't even speak for the majority of truckers, who happily continue to work. Most provinces already had a timeline of relaxations in place. Many of those are under constant review, which has already caused some to be relaxed ahead of schedule. The convoy won't go away though. It is fueled by right wing misinformation and funding. In a large part from outside of Canada.
  17. I think you will find that the majority of people agree with relaxing various COVID driven restrictions based on the current COVID reality. You will also find that the majority of people do not agree with the "Freedom Convoy".
  18. not true. No you didn't. However, if they are followed they work. If they are not, because people like you think they know everything better, then they don't.
  19. And I don't see where anything presented could ever change your pre-conceived notions.
  20. How can we answer the question when your only statement has been "if my son decided to wear dresses"? I have a feeling that means something specific to you. Something akin to your son deciding that he identifies as a woman and would like to dress as one. Unfortunately transgendered people do indeed encounter a fair number of problems. In many cases because they are often not taken seriously and get comments like " he has decided to wear dresses". If however he has decided he wants to wear dresses on Friday nights at home while roleplaying with his wife, he probably will encounter a lot less problems. But I doubt, based on your attitude displayed here, he would share that particular kink with his old man.
  21. When you start with a false assumption......
  22. Sure. Here is one of them: https://gh.bmj.com/content/5/5/e002794?ijkey=644b2bb8c29c19cc353a9a9c04157017217fa1a1&keytype2=tf_ipsecsha
  23. No they weren't. That is a right wing strawman argument.
  24. Only if mask mandates were followed. Do you have evidence that mask mandates significantly altered mask usage during the time period of your "study"?
