I only eat the ones I don't know personally. Yeah, I just don't hang out with ugly animals. I got like, an image to maintain, you know?
-
Why do they exist? It's because we let them. We as a society let them exist. Naw, it's biology, not socialogy. Guys look for certain qualities in a mate, girls have their own set of wanted traits, and that sets the "leagues" up. The tricky part is that to traits aren't set in stone. So you could be exactly the kind of person some really hot girl or guy is looking for. But in general, if I went out partying with Harrison Ford, he'd likely be getting all the action.

Classic. I only eat the non-cute animals.

My own twin otter, bought and paid for, and a nearby place to park it that has airspace clear of a major airport.

Huh, you're hurtling towards the earth at 120mph, deploying a bunch of cloth and cord a half minute from impact to save your life. Not to mention that the chute was probably packed by some guy with a hangover from last night's party and he was rushing to get you on the load. Why would you have a hard time relaxing?

MP3 players will either use memory cards or mini hard drives. The memory card players are smaller, but don't hold nearly as many songs as the hard drive players. Some MP3 players will also do FM broadcasting, so you can link the player into regular stereo systems(like your car stereo). For storage space, figure each song takes about 5 to 6 MB of space and use that to calculate how many songs a certain player can store. Don't go off what they say(ie. xxx hours), because they'll often distort the numbers.

http://www.florida-traffic-school-program.com/ You can also rent a video from Blockbuster and take traffic school that way too.

Yeah, and I'm in jumper withdrawal so I was drooling over the background wishing I was there right now.

Ah well, if you're gonna get all technical on my arse, I like trip hop and chillout. Or whatever else you'd want to call the below: http://www.tarsis.org/swandive__demunication.ogg http://www.tarsis.org/bitstream_dream__buddhas_patio.ogg

I was never really into techno until I started listening to it on the way out to the dropzone(only thing decent on the radio down that way). Now when I hear it, I get a sort of mid-jump vibe off of it.

I liked this one: http://www.dzcomic.com/comics/050207.gif

Yeah, and I don't drink "bad" alcohol anymore Why drink cat piss tequilla when a couple of shots of Patron will get you buzzing.

Hmm, is it Spaceland? It looks an awful lot like Sebastian. And yeah, there are a lot of angels at that dropzone.

Before a jump, thinking about landing my parachute gets me more nervous than thinking about the rest of the jump

Sunflower seeds, fruit, there's low cal jello. You can also mix your own treats. I make my own ice milk(soft serve style ice cream) and it has very little sugar in it. If you have a blender you can make fruit smoothies. For a munchie food try Cheerios straight out of the box(dry, no milk). It may sound weird, but that stuff is addictive as hell and a major convenience snack.

So is the complaint that wingsuiting is a little to leading edge yet for professional instructors? Like we need a few years for the experience of the sport to surface up and breed out skilled fliers that can train the noobs? I guess I can see that, but I'd personally like to get some decent training when I get in my 200 required jumps. And until we get some german speaking guy who starts up an Atmospheric Seagull license system and trademarks the term Human Skyflying, some low timers with good instructor experience is all I really have to work with.

In Florida you can even take the driving school online.

Either use of those lawyer thingies or just pay the stupid thing off. I probably wouldn't drive any slower though.

About the only thing you really can control is how you feel about life. You can't control the events life throws at you, but you can decide how to handle and react to those events.

Depends on the room temp where they're stored. They're good for an average of 5 years, but as a civilian when you get "military" MRE's they may start out a year or two old. The best stuff is Mountain House products: http://www.mountainhouse.com/ They have some food sold in cans that will last 30 years. I keep a little at home in case a hurricane hits and I want food other than canned tuna or salmon.

The drama is pretty easy to avoid. But you can always just turn off your dz.com email and take a break from the site for awhile.

When did you have luck in a crash landing. between:

Intentional "I'm cool and I can hook it" crash or one of those "whoops, newbie mistake" meetings with Mother Earth? -
MARCO ISLAND B@@GIE IS CANCELLED 2,15pm thursday
MarkM replied to judedre's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Yeah, but the Keys boogie has a C license requirement to land at the airport and a D license requirement for landing on the beach. I would've loved to have gone to it last year, but don't have the landing skills to handle it. I guess Marco Island is burned now for future boogies? -
Heh, if Lee gets my rig done for the weekend I'll be there. Is the landing area still a swamp or is it only like that during the summer

How many miles to your dropzone?
MarkM replied to verticalflyer66's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
A little under 130 miles. I miss living closer to a dropzone. When it was a 15 min drive I could just look out the window, see a good weather day and cut out early to hit the DZ. Now it's a preplanned event and an early morning wakeup.
