Gosh, no sir, I would never jump through a cloud. That white fluffy stuff up there? That's burn off the sugar cane sir, no clouds in sight.

What wha, is there something going on up in ATL I should know about?

The suits look really nice, though the mach1 and nebula look to be pretty much the same. I like that the suits have a lot of different options available and are trying new things. I'm sure over the next year we'll see what doesn't work and what does. I'm hoping some of these suits make an appearance at the Keys boogie.

LMAO Indian guy gets caught cheating on the radio

LOL... "use the mouth". -
How are the wings attached to the body on the Mach1? From one of the pics it looks like it uses a zipper.
-
Well hello there, how ya do'in?

Except for those times you hose the spot for the people behind you, by waiting longer than you need to at the door Just hang in there for another hundred jumps and get into wingsuits. You always exit last, never worry about the spot, and people screaming past you 100 feet from your canopy is the highlight for the day, not a near death experience.
-
Good shit. I love it when people make shit like that, even doing work in other people's burbles, look effortless.
-
LOL. But you forgot: * Will rub my feet on demand.

Jumping order at most places is typically belly, FF, students, tandems, wingsuits/CRW, with larger groups in each going before the smaller groups. 10 seconds may be a bit overboard unless the plane is really slow or the uppers are really hauling or the groups exiting are large. On a 4 way you track away from the other people in your group. That can take you into the jump run. When groups are exiting there should be enough time taken between exits to allow for this. Yes But it's not a bad thing to be aware of and be concerned about. It's a pretty shitty feeling looking up under canopy and seeing someone wave off and start to deploy right on top of you. I would've found out how much of a count the people after me gave after the jump if I noticed a close deployment. Also, when you exit you can keep an eye on the plane and see the group after you exit. That should give you an idea whether or not they gave you plenty of time or if you'll need to play the "track longer to save my ass" game.

Omar wasn't planning on coming? That sucks. Cynthia from Seb is bringing her wingsuit. There's also a newer bird from there, Ed, who'll be down and is really looking forward to some flocks. Seb also has one or two people wanting to try the Koolaid, so bring the Prodigies and demos....

It's gotta be all that clothing. Bare skin on the pole probably helps with the grip

You know while I personally wouldn't agree with getting a vasectomy done at 22, a part of me is also a little disturbed that the guy needs to put forth some sort of compelling arguement to have it done. Not really to you(you're just arguing your opinion), but to some doctor. I mean, if an 18 year old girl went in to have an abortion, would she have to lay out some compelling case why she didn't want to be a mother for the rest of her life? Why she might not change her mind in 10 years and really want that child? Or is it her body, her rights? I mean, the guy isn't even killing off his sperm, let alone an unborn child, just stopping it from going to point A to point B, permanently(assuming it can't be reversed later). I don't see where it isn't his right to have it done, whatever his reasons. He can join the army, go overseas and get his head blown off which is a permanent life affecting decision, so I don't see why being snipped should require any more proof of maturity.
-
Except that condoms can and do fail, so if he really doesn't ever want children and he's sure, a vasectomy is a safe option. But to the OP, I wouldn't go with a "I know I'd be a bad father" route though, it sounds too emotional, like you should be talking about it with a psychologist and not a MD. And views like that change throughout your life. I wouldn't have ever seen myself as a father at 22, but I know I could be a pretty good one now at 35. But really I don't know what you should say, considering you aren't listing your reasons here at all.

It takes maybe 1-2 seconds to look out the door and find your LZ once you're familiar with your dropzone. At lot of people don't do that, so when they land out it's their fault.
-
Glad to know I'm not the only one that does this. Though really it's my own fault some of my friends would introduce me like that. There really isn't anything else interesting going on my life and they're just trying to kickstart the conversation to whatever cute girl they're saying it to. But the sport has so much perceptual baggage... "Wow, it must be so exciting." "Not really, I find it pretty relaxing anymore. Sort of mellows me out." "Huh???"

Have you ever thrown up under canopy?
MarkM replied to The111's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Woah, this is public now? Sweet, one less secret I have to take to my grave. Is there going to be a "Have you ever thrown up on a three way" poll? -
I would demand more boobie threads and change the name of the Women's forums to "Should I dump him or not?".
-
All three at the same time, huh? I've had several friends that used to jump high a lot. One of them didn't make it out, but I don't know if the pot really contributed.

I don't believe there was anything but some close calls of people falling out of tandem harnesses until just recently. So just because it hasn't happened, doesn't mean it won't. My rig is a custom made Mirage and I can strip it off of me in 3 seconds in a sit if the leg straps go down to my knees(and they can without much work), so it's not just poorly fitted second hand gear. Though really since skydivers use poorly fitted second hand gear, then the gear needs to be safe in that configuration anyway. But I also don't think it's much of a risk. Just an aspect of gear(a possible hole under your ass) that people need to be aware of.

I'll be there PHI bombing the rest of you. There should be a decent showing of wingsuits. Last year there was a decent flock and I can't imagine it'd be smaller this year. Edit: Also, Rebecca will be there Friday and Saturday.

Did you buy a waterproof cell phone for the boogie this year?

Tom Cruise.... I never thought that I'd say this....

He was also good in Interview with a Vampire. Actors in general are pretty whacko though. One of the reasons Bruce Campbell is my favorite actors is because he's a pretty normal down to earth guy.
