There's 2 ways to do it: 1> Make enough money so you can jump as much as you want. 2> Spend as little money as possible so you can jump as much as you want. Your problem is that you're not in a position yet where you can make a lot of money(college student) and since you're in college, you can't exactly run away to live in a trailer dirt cheap on/near a DZ somewhere.

It was nice jumping with you Steve. I can't wait to try the mach one myself and will hopefully be able to replace my PHI next month.

I actually like not being carded. Makes me feel more "mature". Though I do get annoyed when a young cute girl behind the counter calls me "sir".

Phantoms were cool last week. This week it's Mach One's with the kung fu action grip gloves.

All I know is that I was getting blown away by the machs at the end of the dives when they'd break off and max out. I'm not a slow faller in my PHI, maybe 60-65 on average, but I'd often be done with the dive and under canopy at 4k watching them slowly drift past my level a quarter mile off.

While it certainly doesn't make a woman any less attractive, I sure don't find it "sexy".

From the SIM: 1. Tandem jumps--4,500 feet AGL 2. All students and A-license holders--3,000 feet AGL 3. B-license holders--2,500 feet AGL 4. C- and D-license holders--2,000 feet AGL Those are container opening altitudes, meaning you should pitch before then. Also, pitching at 3k is much different than exiting at 3k since your downward velocity at a 3k exit is zero. -
I'll actually be "working" tomorrow. I have a job interview Monday and I need to learn the programming language the job is for. I want to do some projects in it tomorrow so I can skydive Friday-Sunday.

I think Jeff is supposed to be there that weekend. I know I'll be there Thursday - Sunday, so you'll at least have someone to flock or try new stuff with if no coaches are around.

From Pompano, figure an hour 20 to Homestead, an hour 30-40 to Clewiston and an hour 45-55 to Sebastian. In Jan Sebastian would be your best bet for weekday jumping as a lot of Cross Keys jumpers migrate down for the winter. In fact, the cross keys invasion will be on til the 10th and from the 19-21 there will be the Uwes Country Jam.

Are pie rules set in stone?

The rules vary from place to place. Even the contents of the pies vary from place to place. At one DZ I used to jump at we put hot dogs in the pies. -
The bike, if you can already ride and have a place to store it. It's far more fun than any sports car will ever be.

Jumping in the midwest in November to me is pretty hard core, so grats on graduating. I did one student jump in September in Indiana and promptly moved to Florida.

Except she doesn't look like that. The photo is very enhanced and she's had a lot of work done to her beforehad. But it's funny how much people are judged on looks, good or bad. People automatically assume she's high maintenance or a PITA just because she's attractive. I've known a lot of very attractive people who are also smart, funny, and fun to be around.
