Conservatives FURIOUS over federally funded penis pumps
Andy9o8 replied to skinnay's topic in Speakers Corner
You're definitely in the prostate cancer risk age group, my friend. Maybe wanna re-think your arrogance. -
You did this, didn't you?
-
OK, you realize those were the humans, right?
-
And if not now, when?
-
It's good to see you and regulator urging us all to raise the level of public debate.

San Antonio was originally gonna name its team the Spics. For some reason it never quite got legs

Conservatives FURIOUS over federally funded penis pumps

I hope you never need prostate cancer surgery some day. If you do, the side effects of the surgery just might cure your ignorance on this subject matter. -
I've never heard it called anything but "St. Patrick's Day" in Chicago, where we have a huge parade (actually 2 huge parades). abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/local/chicago_news&id=9463953 beverly-mtgreenwood.patch.com/groups/around-town/p/south-side-irish-parade-2014-survival-guide Of course, we ALL know that St. Patrick was English, stolen in childhood by Irish pirates? http://chicago.cbslocal.com/top-lists/top-10-things-to-do-in-chicago-for-st-patrick%E2%80%99s-day/ http://stpattyscrawlchicago.com/

Baltimore man wins lawsuit over arrest for videoing police
Andy9o8 replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
would they ticket for 'unsafe use of brights,' or something similar, or was it bluntly for warning other drivers? Motorcyclists have common hand gestures for the situation - seems like it would be tricky to prove intent, or even meaning. 'I saw some loose gravel and warned him to take it easy.' Without looking a few up to refresh my memory, I think some tickets may have couched it in terms of some crypto-safety shit, while others more blatantly accused the driver of interfering with police [paraphrasing]. -
Baltimore man wins lawsuit over arrest for videoing police

This is good news. Far too many courts and legislatures support policies - and sometimes statutes - that restrict civilians' constitutional rights to video and audio record police in the field. The battle isn't over; "law n' order" is very popular not just with politicians and local judges, but also with the large majority of citizens, who think to look only as far as their noses. Another very similar example is where cops sometimes ticket people who flash their headlights to signal oncoming drivers that they're approaching a speed trap. Sometimes courts rule in favor of the ticketed driver, but too often local judges have backed the cops up in this. -
Americans of Irish birth or descent outnumber the population of Ireland by 7 to 1. So Ireland can suck it, we'll tell them what to call things.

Cheapest jump tickets in the U.S.

The one that suggests it's Truman Sparks's marketing strategy. -
I don't disagree with you; and perhaps we're talking past each other a bit. You're addressing a student not screwing around when he thinks he has a mal and doing EPs promptly. That's fine. I'm addressing a separate issue, which is de-constructing the facts of what actually occurred. That analysis, here in this thread, has its own separate merit, which is not mutually exclusive with your point.

While I generally agree with the "when in doubt, whip it out" philosophy, in this particular instance - very new student, student canopy, details of the OP post being what they are - are you entirely convinced there was anything wrong with that canopy at all?

The conspiracy theorist in me goes every time one of these threads pops up. First the question, then the inevitable answer. Oh well; works for them I guess. -
Do you ever click on someone's profile while reading DZ.com on a mobile phone? If so, the friend-request link is so close to the profile link that it's easy to send a friend request inadvertently. (p.s., It Would be nice if they gave us a confirmation screen first before the request is sent... especially if you're trying to check out the profile of someone you think is a Big Fat Douche. )

Medical Question (Not asking for advice, just curious)
Andy9o8 replied to ianyapxw's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Sigh. -
LOLZ. The news headlines & captions are all saying "Skydiver says he'll jump again!". This is why I never discuss skydiving with non-skydivers. Deep down, they all think that, for all but the criminally insane, it's a once-off like bungee jumping. "Why would you wanna do that again??"
-
Doesn't matter. Still gets you an "F" in written English usage. If we all just used our own "personal preferences" then there isn't standard spelling, grammar, or anything else. Hell in a handbasket, Paul.

I urge you not to say that in a bar in South Boston. Why is that, sir? I could quickly tell you, or you could have a little fun and Google your post and my post together as keywords until you achieve "Aha!"

If college freshmen can't read, what makes you think skydivers can?

Sorry to be blunt, but: Tough shit. In 1891 the great Louis Brandeis wrote “If the broad light of day could be let in upon men’s actions, it would purify them as the sun disinfects.” He later shortened it to "Sunlight is the best disinfectant." To this day, open public governance disclosure laws are commonly referred-to as "Sunshine Laws". That's no coincidence. The only thing worse than the potential for undisciplined mischief flowing full public disclosure is... any system providing less than that. In an open membership organization such as the USPA, it is simply inexcusable to not have full disclosure of BOD members' debates and votes, and equally inexcusable to fail to record and disseminate meetings when the when the means is clearly and easily there. Shame on anything less. Period, full stop.
