  1. Sorry, Bill , but to be blunt, I'm still quite less than impressed. Of late, even with this pope (who I like), it seems like more business as usual on the pedophile priest front: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-26448075 Words are words. I'll wait for the actions.

  3. All of you are wrong. When you jump head-down, the relative wind enters the pores in your neck - it's how we breathe in freefall, after all - and exerts upward pressure on the blood vessels, forcing blood away from the head, toward the feet, thus (usually) maintaining equilibrium. Caution is indicated: it could increase the risk of orthostatic hypotension.
  4. This. Anyone who thinks otherwise is naive. Ain't no goin' back, folks. Just forward.
  5. You had paper? Jeez, in my day.... http://www.screenused.com/images/flintstones/TestCap4.jpg
  6. And? ...And... blueberry pie is excellent when made with just a hint of added vanilla and rhubarb. Und don't ask me about ze var!
  7. I've been competing in MX pants for 4 years. I wear MX pants under my suit when I go to court.

  10. Grey area, but that might possibly violate the ABM treaty. Likely Russia will argue it does. I thought we withdrew from the ABM Treaty. Hm. So we did. I wonder why I forgot that. I guess I need more coffee. Ok, never mind.

  12. The majority of states still do allow them. Agreed, looks like California mostly does not. FWIW, I note the OP is in S. Carolina. SC seems to allow them, but restricts them to a limited basis: http://www.scnoncompetelawyer.com/basics/ Everyone would be well advised to get an attorney's advice in the particular state in which their employment takes place.
  13. I've always had mixed feelings about packers who've never made a skydive themselves. Oh, I know, there are some excellent ones out there, and I really mean no disparagement. But it seems to me that there's nothing quite like having the experience, yourself, of actually relying on a parachute to save you from otherwise-certain death to make you most fully appreciate the solemn gravity of what you're doing when you pack someone else's parachute. It's a parachute, FFS, not an oil change. P.S. - glad beyond words you're OK.
  14. Crush proof. Better than the soft pak.
  15. OK, now I have another solution: the US should invade and annex Nova Scotia. That would show Putin we're tough, and mean business.
  16. Someone said something to my kid I didn't like. Wah. Let's file a lawsuit. Wasted teachable moment for the child that they will have to deal with morons throughout their life, and ways to handle them. You're on the wrong side of history, and the wrong side of teachable moments.
  17. This thread perturbs me. What happens in Vegas should stay in Vegas.
  18. So I finally figured out why this thread has been gnawing at me: grammar. I'm not comfortable with "smited" as past tense of "smite". http://grammarist.com/usage/smite-smote-smitten/
  19. I'll throw in spinach quiche and sandals with sox.
  20. You're definitely in the prostate cancer risk age group, my friend. Maybe wanna re-think your arrogance. No arrogance on my part. I have heartfelt sympathy for all the poor lesbians out there who can't afford to buy a big hard penis substitute. I think they have a constitutional right to a government funded dildo, just like women have a constitutional right to kill their fetus at government expense. And which would you rather pay for: a relatively cheap dildo that won't make a woman pregnant, or an expensive abortion that kills a baby? I rest my case. Good to see the new you is still the old you, big guy.
  21. Possibly because regulator called her a cunt and grue said "some people" should be kicked in the twat and used as snowshoes. Join our team, Steve. Not only do we command The Moral High Ground, we also have decoder rings, and we're not afraid to use them.
  22. Absolutely! Here is a list of slur words used to describe various ethnic groups. How many of these words have been used as team names? (other than "Redskin") http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ethnic_slurs There's a pretty well-known team called the "New York Yankees." "Yankee" or "Yank" is a pretty well-known worldwide pejorative (sort of the equivalent of "Limey" or "Kraut." And has been and remains pejorative in parts of the country. Bzzzt! Terrible analogy example, on several levels. Try another one.
