  2. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/02/05/to-be-happy-must-admit-women-and-men-arent-equal/ Took me 15 seconds on Google to find it, given that he posted an exact cut & paste from it. As the saying goes.... http://www.nysportsjournalism.com/storage/GeicoCaveman.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1256716704972
  3. Are you STILL lookin' for him? Hey, you know what? Don't judge.
  4. So are you a hairy 50 year old guy named Phil?
  5. OK, let's put it this way: just because my nipples don't look really hot when they're erect, doesn't mean that I should be paid or promoted more.
  6. Did JR actually do that? Sorry, Wendy. Yes, he did it, but not to Wendy. He did it to kallend, billvon and me. Wendy apparently was just used as an example because she's too polite to complain.
  7. And cutting in this sentence is just as important: Not knowing who might read the prose, it is undetermined if the prose would be understood. Bravo: in this case it appears we have communications
  8. This is exactly what this thread is about: What the holy hell does that mean? I'm still waiting for you to tell us what that sentence meant. It is incomprehensible.
  9. Does "she"? Or is that just your assumption, 'cause I'd like to introduce you to a man by the name of "Tuiasosopo." I'm not saying that's the case here, but DZ.com has been trolled pretty hard in the past by anonymous users. I don't know why anyone would assume a random anonymous user is who they say they are. Well, then if the 2 pictures "she" has been using lately are not really "her", then I suppose "she" has nothing to worry about.
  10. Please take references to genitalia to the Bonfire.
  11. Hello, Jerry. Do you mind if I clarify that? Here's the link to the transcript of that show: http://www.wbur.org/npr/171453574/spains-wind-energy-industry-breaks-record What the NPR interviewer said, in introducing the guest, was that "26 percent of Spain's electricity for the past 100 days has come from wind", and that "[t]heir [the wind farms'] electricity output has topped that of coal, nuclear and solar energy for the first time." Now, perhaps she should have used the word "or" instead of "and" before the phrase "solar energy"; but she did clearly say it was 26%, which, by context, I think was supposed to mean "more than any other single energy source". It could have been phrased a little more artfully.
  12. OK, you have a point there. Fortunately, there's no "other organization" with that kid of manifest hypochrisy. Can a non-Catholic criticize the Catholic Church's managing hierarchy for all the really rotten, harmful, hypocritical things they've done? I say yes, just as much as I can criticize my neighbor who beats his wife. Of course, the criticism surely resonates when it comes from the Catholic laity, or even the occasional priest, nun or brother with some guts. Similarly, someone outside the Scouts still has the right to openly call-out its more Neanderthal policies for the scorn they deserve. Having said, that, criticism from the life-membership at large surely resonates. And for the record, I, too, am a former Boy Scout. And just like, for example, Perry's fellow Texan, Masterrigger, said up-thread, I (as Perry's fellow former Boy Scout) also find Perry to be an embarrassment.
  13. If you ever start actually skydiving, you'll find that male jumpers will be inviting you on jumps that are not yet safely within your skill set, all the while assuring you that you'll be OK. You won't be. Put bluntly, they're trying to get in your pants. Unless you're careful, the least that might happen is the ol' walk o' shame. The worst that could happen is a really, really bad accident on a jump. Anyhow, all the friend requests are the cyber version of this. Also, like a number of other women on this site, you have your actual photo in your avatar. Frankly, I think that's dangerous - for all you women who are reading this.
  14. Why not? If a tyrannical government is coming after you with heli gunships and A10s, surely the defenders of the Constitution should be allowed to have AA guns. Actually, I'm not sure that that proposition, in earnest, is inconsistent with the Constitution. Additionally, should a foreign or domestic enemy have hostile aircraft in the air over our heads that have not been neutralized by our regular military or air national guard, given that the militia (IMO) ultimately includes the entire citizenry, said militia needs to have the means to be another layer of the people's common defense against those aircraft. I'm not being facaetious here, btw. This must be part of the policy conversation, adn must be reconciled with the conscept of "reasonable restrictions". The devil, of course, is in the details.
  15. That was today. This thread started yesterday. For whatever it's worth.

  17. Goddamn al-Q'aeda. We wouldn't have to take this shit if it weren't for them. Yeah, right; fucking Qatar - our natural allies.
