  1. To elaborate, it's always a good idea to have "non-personal" accounts (paypal, business accounts, debit card accts, etc.) at a separate bank from any of your personal accounts: many banks (example - TD Bank) have a policy that if you overdraw your balance on one of your accounts, they can withdraw (or put a hold on) the funds from any other account you might have with them. Example: A client of mine had his personal acct at TD. He and a friend opened a separate account, also at TD, for a small non-profit they set up. About 4 years later, long after the client had forgotten all about the non-profit's acct, the friend overdrew that acct. Yep, TD then promptly (and without advance warning or separate notice) withdrew the money from my client's personal account to cover the overdraft on the non-profit's. Hard lesson learned.
  2. That video "explains" nothing. Either explain how that premie was someone else's fault or go away. Mind you, your audience here know how & why most premature deployments happen.
  3. . Inside jokes aside, my friend, you just dissed 2 of the most well-respected hi-experienced jumpers on these boards. I urge you to humble out.
  4. Generally speaking, the condescension is not entirely undeserved. So many announcements of "planned" tunnels, particularly one in the NYC area (like, forever...); so few ever pan out, it's pretty hard not to be quite jaded until/unless some serious construction is actually under way at a site. Look, I want a lot more of these tunnels to happen in un-served regions just as much as you do. Hang in there; with the economy (hopefully) starting to rebound a bit, the chances of new ones getting funded & built increases. Just be realistic, is all.
  5. I've said this to others; now I'll say it to you: You wouldn't know a real Socialist of you tripped over one.
  6. I always wondered where ground launching originated.
  7. Nobody has any disrespect for you as a tunnel instructor, Adam; and nobody's trying to piss in your cornflakes. But there's nothing unreasonable about Skinny's commentary, either. I know you'd rather he and those making similar observations about "planned" tunnels would all just STFU, but that's not how it works.
  8. Chili? Lentils? Curry? You must be a real hit on the jump plane.
  9. And don't mention the war. *Apparently* it's also not on to call your German colleague "the Nazi." So I am told... Would THESE be considered a tasteless gift in France?
  10. ..and don't event think about mentioning Dracula. Try Flying into Bucharest with a box of Count Chocula in your luggage. See you in 20 years.
  11. And in Germany small talk is considered insincere (which it is in a sense). And don't mention the war. I think they refer to it as "The War of Allied Aggression". Go figure.
  12. Because, "ma'am", some people think S&M is more relevant than S&A.
  13. FWIW, and really just as a neutral point of information, if you research the author, and then drill-further and research his intellectual "school of thought", you'll see that this article isn't just a once-off; it represents a doctrine of legal/political philosophy that he's been part of since his early adulthood. Here, take a look: Louis Michael Seidman Critical Legal Studies

    Meteor?

That's what THEY want us to think. It's the perfect cover.
  15. And the first doping scandal was in 707 BC. Don't ask me how they tested for it. It's too awful to type out.
  16. Nope. Running. But the criteria for inclusion in the Olymipcs is largely about widespread participation and competitions. Apart from in the US and (I'm guessing) a few Eastern European nations, who wrestles? Are you kidding? Synchronized swimming? Rythmic gymnastics? These people can blow me.
  17. Ding. My most interesting classes were taught by the profs who knew how to stir the pot and get us sockin' each other in the aisles. I'll bet this guy's classes are pretty interesting.
  18. LOL, I remember back in the 70s, way before AFF existed, when "harness hold" was the term for the way female novices at the DZ learned to freefall, while us guys purged our souls in Static Line Progression Hell. That's not all they learned, but whatever.

    Meteor?

Confirmation bias. Oh, I don't think so. I think there's an actual plan.

    Meteor?

Why does the serious shit always seem to be in Siberia? Can't be coincidence.
