Well, as sensible as your point is, anonymous comments on the internet sometimes can matter, because they can be used to slander someone; and defamation sometimes can be very harmful. Nonetheless, in the US, thanks to the Constitution (unlike even most every other "Western democracy" in the world), there is absolutely nothing you can do about libel or slander other than seek monetary civil damages. You cannot prosecute it criminally; you cannot prevent it in advance from being published (that's called "prior restraint"), and you cannot require it to be removed from publication. That goes for you, too, Mr. Silverstein, you stupid fuck. Please surrender your license to practice law.

Nope, it's a great list. But I'll add a "sub-point (a)" to #5 - STFU. If the self-defense shooter is a juvenile for whom you're the parent or guardian, make sure the kid STFU, and do NOT give the police permission to interrogate the kid without a lawyer present. That means no "we always taught you to tell the truth; so just tell the police the truth." Do NOT believe the police when they tell you the kid doesn't need a lawyer because you will be present when he's questioned. That's just bullshit. I can't tell you how many juveniles (and their parents) I've had to advise to accept a plea-bargain offer rather than take (what would have been) an otherwise-defensible case to trial because the parent let the kid make a statement to police. (Actually that goes for anytime your juvenile is suspected of a crime - there's ZERO benefit to not waiting until the lawyer gets there.)

So......is there an D or an R next to his name? Normally it's a race to identify an obvious idiot to their party - (even if the idiot is capable of independent idiocy) Dem. He's obviously adopted.

Please point me to the website so I can add mine to them.

Eh, you guys just don't have the right attitude. Biden is fulfilling the tried-and-true role of every Vice President: to keep us all entertained. Besides, US Vice Presidents of late are experts on shotguns.

Re-read her post #11. You've completely twisted what she said, and you're way out of line. -

Andy9o8 replied to OHCHUTE's topic in Speakers Corner
Unfortunately I don't have that kind of liquidity! But catsup is liquid. Actually I think it's a colloid. Not your point, was it? -

I called it bootleg simply because it's unlawful. -

That's only going to be half-successful. The problem I see with your model is the taxation part - it will still maintain a black market in bootleg drugs that evade taxes. Long after the end of Prohibition, there's still a robust bootleg whiskey industry in certain parts of the US (yee-haw!), and quite a few millions of tax dollars of law enforcement/prosecution resources spent to combat it. Also witness the robust bootleg cigarette trade in the US. Some of those bootleg trades are a response to govt-imposed price controls, but much of it is a response to taxes imposed on the products. Bottom line, if you really want to minimize the criminality-by-definition in the drug trade, you need to do more than just legalize it, you have to make it tax-free, or the consumer demand for cheap prices will keep the bootleggers in business. -
Well, in my Feb 2 post I was trying to gently say that, to my LAYMAN'S eyes, it didn't seem that silver treatment was considered all that promising. But I'm a layman, and not medically trained, so I didn't want to speak "out of school", and I might be totally wrong. Let me continue to be diplomatic: I'm quite unfamiliuar with the quality and technological currency of the medical treatment you're getting in Spain. How does it stack up in comparision to treatment available in other Western European/EU countries, or perhaps North America?
