  3. Okay, Getting ready to order my first wingsuit and have to pick colors....blah blah blah. Well unfortunately, most of the wing suits I've seen are orange, black, or red. No real variations so would like some help from the flock. You all have seen more than I have and can tell me what will look good and what sux. I'm looking at either a firebird or phantom (yet another issue...which one) My rig is black with navy blue piping and silver pillows. I would like to stay with these three colors if possible (or even two if it will look better) and the only think I'm against is having grey/silver anywhere that the pillows will be laying against. PLEASE HELP. On paper all configuration look good, but I know in the sky and in person its a different story. Plus, I have no idea what the aluminum silver looks like on a suit. Post pics if you got em....or just respond with the ideas. Thanks in advance, The new bird on the block..... 7. Hoping to get a few suggestions/advice/etc. And falling with slower people isnt the answer I'm looking for. I'm 150 out the door and having issues keeping up (or rather down) with the groups I jump with. My sit is a consistent 153 and stand is 168 but I cant keep up with the groups I jump with. Anythink anyone knows off the top of your head I can try to get faster besides weights, or eating more. thanks in advance, Billy SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

  10. Skymama, I need to get at least 20. We are going to put them on the HH60's with the Rescue Squadron. Some of the PJ's new him and he is missed by the USAF. Its one thing to lose a great guy to retirement....its another to lose him completely. Let me know how much and if I can paypal it. 13. I agree. (not that your disrespectful Jesske) This boogie was special to me as well. Not that it will be my last (hopefully), but it was my first boogie in the US. Granted I have lots of pics but none of the quality that DZMemories has put out. Any way to work through other means to see what pics you have of me/friends? 14. Agreed! WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU IN OHIO? I thought I taught you better. GEEZ! Actually, I dont think he's really in the US. Prolly just sitting at home and when he got his I-NET connection going again, the only thing he could spell was OHIO. See ya in Cambridge tomorrow Andy. 15. As long as you pay your 150 pounds to become a BPA member, doesnt matter if you have a BPA or USPA. I've been jumping in the UK for 4 years now (and other countries) and my USPA lic. has never been questioned. Actually, having my USPA B actually made a few things easier. 16. I find this thread very interesting since I have just started wingsuit....and love it. I've done two jumps (Chucks class) and wondering what the experience suggests now? I'm aware that stability is the only thing I've achieved so far (though I've busted 80 seconds on each of my jumps and had an average 53 mph) but I still dont know shit. Hell, my second jump was a 7 way flock that turned into me watching 3 of the seven from above..... So what do I do now? 18. Hushpuppy, Wildcard.....stay in touch. There is lots of dumb shit left for us to do..... And if you can believe this....I'm still in the fucking states thanks to the wonderful weather in the NE. Maybe I'll be able to fly home tomorrow. Great times you two......and Hippy, we still need to do that jump, and maybe on the next tracking dive I'll track the right way. 19. Good times, great jumps, and great people. It was nice to finally put some faces with screen names, and even jump with a few of them. Had an absolute blast and looking foward to doing it again. Nothing beats the thursday night dinner though. Those who attended know whats up. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  20. Thanks for the help and getting me in the air Chuck. I did my first two wingsuit jumps, the second being the flock, and it was great. Billy SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  21. yes indeed! And it made me want to fly wingsuit even more. What amazing control those have...well, out of control. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  22. I'm 154 out the door and weight 138 without rig, and 5 7. Didnt flip though my risers, I actually just went head down when I reached back for the hackey, so didnt pull and completed a front flip. Got stable again, and when I went for the hackey again, remembered to bring my legs in too. awsome flight. 23. fly into amsterdam, then you can either take the train or rent a car. Texel is the southern most island in the chain of islands right off the coast of NL. Its about 1.5 hours to the ferry, and a 30 minute ferry ride to the island. Awsome place to jump. 24. I second hippies post and would also like to say thanks to Chris, Don, Dave, and others who busted their asses to put on this boogie. This was my first boogie in the US (yup, flew in from England) and had a great time. Met lots of great fliers, had lots of great jumps, and even squeaked out my first two wing suit jumps. Great times had by all and hope to see everyone in the near future. Blue Skies, SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  25. Just got back from the Dublin Boogie and though there were some BAD things that happened....a few good ones happened for some of us as well. I took the wing suit class offered by Chuck Blue and KAAKAAAWWWW Flew a GTI, 52mph average speed...my coach sunk under me and couldnt lift back up to me so ended up being a solo, and other than the wicked front flip I pulled at pitch time (forgot to bring the legs in when I reached for the hackey) it was flawless and awsome. Flew some other wing on wingsuit 2 (hated the suit) but again, a great flight. Did a 7 way flock....though I was way above and just followed, still kewl! What a great time. thanks chuck and hushpuppy for the great times and especially for getting me started with wings. Billy "woodpecker" NCFITZ accomplished his first wingsuit as well.....more from him later I'm sure.
