levaquin takes about 3-5 days to actually work, which is why you should have gotten 5 days worth. I'm guessing 500mg on day one then 250mg for the next 4 days is your therapy? Might be a little higher depending on age, weight, etc..... Anyway, wait it out and if the pain doesnt start to fade by day 4, call your dr. Then you will probably be switched to pen unless your allergic to it. Not a Dr. pharmacist though lots of water, sleep, and finish the therapy though. Always good to have a "chummer" diving with you. The sea comes alive once they start. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

Had a dive partner who would get sea sick...though the fish loved it, so it was win win for me. Never any issues with diving, just listen to all the other posts and your instructor....never hold your breath, and take your time coming up.....also, you want to be out of the water with at least 500 (or a lil lower) on your guage. At least thats my rule and again, never had any problems. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

RW and FF jumps I wave at 3K and pitch. Wingsuit jumps I wave and pitch at 5K, I'm still very very new to wingsuit and want as much time as possible to fuck up my deployment sequence and get the arms unzipped/legs stowed. Very very interesting thread! First - congrats on your first jump Andy, glad you followed your heart and finally obtained that dream you actually went to the US to complete. I might not agree with the way you went about it, but you know me....I'd never flame you for your decision and still happy you got your first BASE off. Its not like you did a Headdown 3 way with only 50 jumps.. Stay safe, listen to the advice those on here who have managed to stay alive, and have fun. For those of you who dont know Andy, yes he knows about gear and has been studying up on BASE for quite some time. He has asked lots of questions over the past 1.5 years I've known him and met with quite a few BASE jumpers. He did his homework is what i'm trying to say, and though he didnt do an FJC and did his first jump with someone who is disliked on the forum.....he did do his first jump. Now i'm sure he will continue with more knowledge and with the help of more credible jumpers (though i dont personally know potatohead). For those with the personal attacks....lay off. He did something most of you have written about doing yoruselves and survived. Lets use this forum to help guide him into making his next jumps safer. We can either push him away from the help and set him up for failure, or pull him close and help out. Good job and see you soon Andy. Thats where the slider is supposed to be when you collapse it. You did everything correct unless I'm missing something. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on? -
"Bloody Foreigners" jumping in the UK
woodpecker replied to kallend's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Agreed on HIb and glad me and fitz arent the only two that had trouble. 3 years ago we tried to jump Hib an had the same problem. USPA members stay away from Hib, they seem to not want our business. "Bloody Foreigners" jumping in the UK
woodpecker replied to kallend's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
let me know when and where and I'll help out as well. I'm a bloody foreigner jumping in the uk and the only thing i had to do is become a BPA member (300 dollars OUCH), but my docs were ok. I have a USPA B and no one gave me any trouble and i'm treated as though i have all that extra crap FS1 FS2 blah blah blah. Same with dirty sanchez and ncfitz. All of us have uspa B's and same treatment across the board. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on? -

Going to Norway to do some...uhhh.....yeah. And dont worry....no object burning here, I'm sneaky I also have a few friends who are coming with.....why, because we have never been to Oslo and just decided to show up and see what its all about. So we will be wandering around trying to have a good time and checking out the museums, viking stuff, tryvann tower, etc. Thanks again for the heads up on the city. Everyone says is the most expensive city they have ever been too. What do you mean by "expensive"? ie. what does a typical meal cost? thanks again to all for the info. So, Take the "on/off" bus like in any other city, check out the viking museum, and stay away from the prostitutes. GOT IT! Thanks for the update all. I'll be there Saturday for some sight seeing and touristy stuff. Any other ideas? SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

What should one do while there? I'll be there this weekend and wondering what the "must see" things in the city are. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

Very interesting thread, and something a few of us have discussed recently. I would say the over 500 category, if anything because of cockiness and sheer jump numbers. I've seen more upper number jumpers "know it all" but go in or injure themselves (not all....just my experience) and as for the statistics---Yes they dont show the number of jumps, but if you jump more, your more at risk, so over 500 puts you at a larger risk than under 500. Just my opinion, interesting thread none the less! SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
