He he thats funny. I think I have tried to no avail to explain all those things to my boyfriend. You should have seen the look on his face when I told him how excited I was when my mom bought me a new pair of uggs. "but, she just bought you a pair for christmas" "I know but the new ones are chocolate brown not chestnut brown" Fly like a girl

Is that the lab that had one of the biggest explosions in U.S. history ever recorded on camera? I've seen the video a bunch of times. Powerful blast, and the shock wave destroys a building next door and you could see the wave moving across the desert floor... I was like, wow.... I think JPL is in Pasadena, whihc I thought was more famous for the Rose Parade. The explosion you are thinking of was in Henderson, Nevada at a rocket fuel plant (well, key component of rocket fuel) - Pacific Engineering Production Company. When the shuttle was grounded, they kept produciing it and stored it outside in the desert sun. I think 8 million pounds of it went kaboom! Yep I used to live in Pasadena well I actually lived in La canada witch is right across the street, literally. I forgot about the rose parade. You are talking to a science major(ie science nerd) after all Fly like a girl

Hang in there. I was in a lot of pain after a long relationship I was in ended. It just takes time. Don't worry I know it hurts like hell now but, you will feel better some day. The best advice I can give you is spend time with your friends and find some new hobbies to fill any excess free time you have. Maybe there is something you always wanted to try but, never had time for or look for something that interests you now that maybe you never thought of before. I know you must not have a lot of time being a law student but, try to take some time out and do something your self. I took swing and salsa dance lessons. It was a lot of fun and a great chance to meet new people. It kept my mind off of how much pain I was in and I made lots of great friends I still talk to almost 4 years later. I know it seems like a long way off now but, soon you will start to feel better and after that it will keep on getting better

How far from your hometown do you currently live?
flygirl1 replied to seejanefall's topic in The Bonfire
I live exactly 326.81 miles from the first house I grew up in, 328.38 from the second and 333.95 from the third. Fly like a girl -
One of the towns I grew up in is famous because of JPL The jet Propulsion Laboratory. The barn I used to keep my horses at was located right next to it. Only a chain link fence away. It was really unnerving the first time a big helicopter flew in right over my head and landed less than 200ft away. Fly like a girl

When I was a little kid I used to dream that I could fly. My family and I traveled a lot and I would always look out the window of the airplane and pretend I was flying. I guess I never really grew up Fly like a girl

I had a golden retriever growing up that would only eat her food after rolling on it on my moms favorite rug. It was the strangest thing. She would walk in to the kitchen grab a mouth full of food, bring it in to the living room, drop it and roll on it. She would do this with any food she was given, dinner, treats, biscuits, whatever. Thats cool, I had no Idea. I know we have a Ski club and they do make a skydiving trip once a year. I didn't know there was a skydiving club though, I'll have to look in to that. We go To skydive Monetary bay and I think we even call our group the flying slugs for the day. Fly like a girl

Some people are assholes and look at their horses as just meat. My dad is a horse trainer. He treats his horse like his children and always finds them good homes when they are too old to race. I'm glad to here your dad dose that

I wasn't bullied in HS but, only because my dad was the writing a popular tv show at that time. The "popular group thought it would be in there best interest to befriend me I guess. This was a good thing only because I could use it to keep them from picking on everyone else. Or at leased they never did it in front of me since I wouldn't tolerate it. I still have a story even if it happened a year after HS. I was dating this guy that thought he was hot shit. He used to be the quarter back of his HS. foot ball team, he was good looking ect... At first he was a really nice guy but, I found out later he was a jerk. Well one day I find out that he had slept with 2 of my "friends" well, not really even friends at the time more like acquaintances but, they knew that we were dating. Needless to say I broke up with that ass, chewed those girls out and moved on with my life. Fast forward several years later I still get love letters from him asking me to take him back and telling me that he still loves me. He is now ugly, over weight, miserable and as I now realize not that bright. I herd from old friends that still live in the same area (most people never move away from my home town after HS) that the girls now live in a tiny apartment together, do drugs and have a life goal to find a rich man to marry them. That being said I still would rather that all of them would have happy meaning full lives. I wouldn't wish bad things on anyone. My best revenge is leading a wonderful happy life and being happy with who I have become. Fly like a girl
