  1. The characteristics of #1 are: Initiating action, pioneering, leading, independent, attaining, individual The expression or destiny for #1: A number 1 Expression denotes the skilled executive with keen administrative capabilities. You must develop the capacity to be a fine leader, sales executive, or promoter. You have the tools to become an original person with a creative approach to problem solving, and a penchant for initiating action. Someone may have to follow behind you to handle the details, but you know how to get things going and make things happen. You have a good mind and the ability to use it for your advancement. Because of these factors, you have much potential for achievement and financial rewards. Frequently, this expression belongs to one running a business or striving to achieve a level of accomplishment on ones talents and efforts. You have little need for much supervision, preferring to act on your own with little restraint. You are both ambitious and determined. Self-confident and self-reliant must be yours, as you develop a strong unyielding will and the courage of your convictions. Although you fear loneliness, you want to be left alone. You fear routine and being in a rut. You often jump the gun because you are afraid of being left behind. The negative attributes of the 1 Expression are egotism and a self-centered approach to life. This is an aggressive number and if it is over-emphasized it is very hard to live with. You do not have to be overly aggressive to fulfill your destiny. The 1 has a natural instinct to dominate and to be the boss; adhering to the concept of being number One. Again, you do not have to dominate and destroy in order to lead and manage. I'm number 1, I'm number 1 Now get on your knees bitch and respect my authority I don't know if it is totally accurate but, it is close. I really don't think I'm a bossy person but, I do like to be in charge Fly like a girl

  4. Ok, seriously now.... I must admit, winter jumping up here is only for the hardcore. I did a jump last February from 10,5 and it was -15F on the ground (-26C). Our plane thermometers werent functioning but you can imagine how cold it was in freefall. Even with good goggles on with a balaclava, my eyes were watering in freefall under properly sealed goggles. My hands were so cold I couldn't pack for an hour after landing.... It was freaking AMAZING!!!! I love it .... its a different experience, grant you, but a fun one nonetheless. You should come up this year, at least for a hop and pop, those are a piece of cake !! Wow your brave! I did a jump the other day where it was 55 on the ground (witch is really cold for someone who grew up in sunny southern california). There were ice crystals up at altitude (that was a bitch for the first few thousand feet!) and I almost froze when we opened the door to spot. Yes I am a spoiled California girl. 50 degrees! Burr Back on topic I have bright Turquoise free fly suit that I just love. Some say it is a little bright but, I don't care I like it I even just ordered a RW suit that is turquoise with black booties, forearms and grippers and silver trim tape. I also ordered a black container with turquoise trim tape and turquoise and silver center paneling. Fly like a girl
  5. I'm headed down to jump at Perris over christmas and I was wondering what there policy about a higher pull altitude was. I usually pull at 5,000ft - 4,500ft and I was wondering if that was to high considering the amount of planes they have flying. I don't mind pulling a little lower than that I would just like to know what to expect. Also how about jumping the jet? do they have a special set pull altitude because of the higher traffic in the air or do they factor that in to the exit order like normal jump planes? Thanks
  6. /2/ Beer owed for getting my A on friday! I'm having a blast at the Brian Germain canopy control course at hollister this weekend. I did 2 jumps yesterday. one 7,00ft hop n' pop and one 3 way from full altitude. My shoulder was bugging me so I decided not to jump today but, I still learned a lot and had fun. I love this sport
  7. That's not very nice! Bad Steve. Bad! You should be ashamed of your self. Didn't your mother tell you that if you don't have something nice to say you shouldn't say anything at all Fly like a girl
  8. Thats funny Bonnie. I was flying to a little airport with my instructor a few weeks ago that I routinely fly to. I was getting close and just for a second I wondered why I couldn't see a familiar checkpoint, a big rock quarry cut in to a hillside with a white tarp covering a large amount of gravel. By the way it was a night flight Fly like a girl

  11. I did my 3,500ft hop n' pop this weekend and that was the lowest I've ever jumped from. I would be comfortable jumping from 3000' but, probably not lower than that unless it is an emergency. I was more nerves about how to exit the cessna than I was about the lower altitude. I had only jumped large airplanes previously and the wheel right outside the door made me a little nervous. I thought I was going to hit it. Luckily one of the Hollister jumpers who is or used to be a S/L instructor was nice enough to to show me how to exit. Thanks Friday
  12. Thats awesome! Tell Ross I said congrats
  13. QuoteIt is normal to find bruises later on in the week, and not have a clue where they came from. Ha ha! That happens to me too! I came home with a huge bruise on my knee after jumping on friday and I have no idea where it came from. I even stood up all my landings Fly like a girl
  14. Hi siddacious Welcome to dropzone.com and Byron
  15. I got sore after my first AFF too. I don't know if it was caused by my landing (I flared too high as well and tumbled a bit) or just because I was using muscles that my body wasn't use to using. I felt just like I did after my first couple attempts at snowboarding and just like snowboarding the sore ness went away after a couple more times. Fly like a girl
