Have fun! I'm jealous that you get to ski whistler all season! That being said I know how scary it can be moving away from home all alone, granted I only moved 6 hours way, it was still tough not knowing anyone and being in a strange place. The best advice I can give you as a snowboarder is to join your schools ski and snowboard teem. It's a great way to break the ice and get to make friends. I met so many of my really close friends that I know today through my schools ski club. I don't know how it works in BC but, in california each participating school has a ski club and our clubs meet up to have parties and go on ski trips together. It's a great way to meet people in the same situation as you. Fly like a girl

I was a myspace skeptic and refused to join at first but, when I got injured and had to have surgery my boyfriend joined me up so I would have one more thing to keep me busy. The only people on there I added that I didn't already know in person where skdivers because I either new them from on here or thought I might meet them some day at a boggie or something. I'm really happy with myspace now. I did end up meeting some of those skydivers in person via myspace and have gotten to know most of the rest through sending messages. I'd say if you want to get to know more of your skyfriends just send them a message. I've found that most skydivers are very social and love to talk (especially about skydiving) and if they didn't want to here from you they probably wouldn't have added or excepted your request you in the first place. Yep, my friends are always welcome to stay at my place. I live at my boyfriends house with an awesome roommate. We are all skydivers so the atmosphere around here is pretty much the same as the DZ just a little more layedback. That being said I definitely wouldn't want people over all the time or a bunch of people here that I don't know. I really like my privacy but, I do have a guest room and love when my out of town friends come to stay with us. Fly like a girl

7500 BTW. I saw a guy keel over with a heart attack in the lift line at Kirkwood a few weeks ago. It's a scary thought you think your going out for a great day on the slops or a relaxing trip to hawaii and bam! your dead Fly like a girl

No, I was debating it for a while since I was getting a bunch of spam requests from bands, strippers and the average joe shmo "moving to my area and looking for new friends". I really didn't want to block people I actually wanted to be friends with from being able to add me since I have already got in touch with people that I hadn't seen since grade school and as other people said I don't have any personal info on there that I would care about the world seeing. I found out how to change my settings to block the usual spamers like bands and porn stars and it has worked pretty well so far. I haven't got any more spam requests but, I have had a couple of my friends say they had trouble trying to add me. Has anyone else had this problem? Also I am happy to add other skydivers and people I know from here since we have such a cool community and there is a good chance we might meet some time in the future but, other than that I don't add people I don't know in person so if you want to add me and you don't have skydiving on your page send me a message. Fly like a girl

Ok so it didn't happen today but, on a short flight from san jose to Burbank (both places in CA about an hour plane ride apart) I had one of those people next to me who insists on talking to you even if you are wearing headphones and reading. what are you reading? I'm studying for school. What are you studying? Geology. Oh! can you please tell me when we fly over the grand canyon? Fly like a girl

Burrr I'm not so much into the whole naked winter jump thing. I am such a wuss about the cold. I looked like the state puff marshmallow man with all my thermals under my jumpsuit the weekend before last and it was one of the warmest ones we had in a while. I would love to be on that load though, to see the look on all your faces when the door opens at altitude As for our favorite beer. Free = good in my opinion, especially when we get to share it with new friends

I'm sure you'll do great Skybytch! I took 2 years of spanish in high school but, all they ever taught me was how to name articles of clothing and colors. So I can tell you what you are wearing and what color it is but, I can't ask where the hospital is or even order food at a restaurant Fly like a girl

That sucks Marcel. I'm sorry that happened I don't know how they did it since it was so many years ago but, I had a my horse tack stolen out of my parents car after a horse show when I was little. The insurance company did end up paying for most of it. I hope you get it back or replaced. Fly like a girl

/1/0 I had a blast at the PIA on wednesday. It was nice to finally get to see v3. I can't wait till mine comes in. I went skiing on saturday and did a really fun 4 way on sunday. Fly like a girl

Ok so I tried this last night because I can't ever refuse a good science project and I got one ice spike. Yes only one. I rinsed out the tray with distilled water, filled all the cubes up evenly with distilled water and only one grew I wonder why? Fly like a girl
