  7. I agree. I've had big dogs all my life but, I wouldn't be against getting a small dog some day. I think you should have what ever breed, size or sex of dog makes you happy. Variety is the spice of life and if it is in the Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Mammalia Order: Carnivora Family: Canidae Genus: Canis Species: Canis lupus familiaris IT'S A DOG!!! BTW I have an Australian Shepard named Reggie and I just adore him! He is the smartest dog I have ever had. He keeps all his toys in one pile and when he wants to play with you he walks over to them, stands there and looks at them for a while and takes his time to pick the one he wants. He also knows them by name and will bring you a specific toy if you ask him to. He also always puts his toys back in his pile when he is done playing with them! thats not only a hell of a smart dog, but the owner seems to be quite smart too!! Smart? or nerdy? he he Fly like a girl
  8. altough i have a big dog and enjoy it a lot, i cant really understand people that say small dogs are no real dogs, thats kinda limited thinking.. I agree. 13. I actually think thats a great idea. While there are probably plenty of sites online for pilots to post, this would be a great opportunity for jump pilots to get together and discuss aspects of flying jumpers, not just general aviation. I agree with that too. With the number of pilots around here I think a "Pilots Lounge" type forum would be a good addition. Sangiro, when you are talking about related sports forums, are you talking about a new forum on these boards (dropzone.com), or branching out to a different website (like rc.com) and trying to pull some base users from here? I personally participate in many of the sports listed, but I really wouldn't see the relevance of having a paddling forum, for example, on these boards. Now if you were to go start a new paddling website, I'd happily go over and have a look at it. I think that dz.com is rather unique in that it is basically the only major forum for its respective sport. Many of the sports you listed are lacking this kind of central gathering place on the internet, and I think some of them (the smaller ones) definatly have the market for it. I agree with these guys(and girl) I'd love to see a flying form added. Jump pilots are a huge part of this sport and I find that there a bunch if not most of the skydivers where I jump that are interested in aviation. Like they said it's great to talk to other skydiver/pilots and jump pilots because they have a different prospective on flying then your regular pilot. I still get "what are you crazy? Did the wings fall off or something?" from most of my other pilot friends. It would also be a great place where pilots can keep skydivers informed on things that may really affect them that they might have not heard about yet like proposed "FAA user fees". It would also be a good place where skydivers can learn a little more about that magical metal elevator that takes them up to altitude or get important reminders about weight and balance, density altitude ect. I also vote for adding ground launching but, I don't really want to see anything not related in any way to skydiving or canopy flight in this form like "running" or "under water basket weaving" ect Just my humble opinion

  16. You may be right. The dog might not care . The dog might not know that the attention he just received was done maliciously. But the owner does. I would never want to see anything bad happen to any animal anywhere and I certainly hope that the spray paint is not toxic and does not harm the dog in any way but, maybe this is the wake up call the owner needs. The paper says the dog "enjoys wandering, unleashed, though its Idaho neighborhood" so hopefully they will keep the dog in there yard from now on so he wont be hit by a car or hurt by an angry neighbor. I have seen too many dead dogs on the side of the road lately. I also had a friend that had one of her kittens killed by a neighbors "gentle" free roaming dog. You're right, dogs shouldn't roam the neighbourhood. And yes, it's the OWNER'S responsiblity to make sure their dog isn't roaming the neighbourhood. But to spray paint a dog rather than find out where it belongs is pretty irresponsible too. I had a "ghost dog" appear on my deck one night. I called the pound. They had no calls about a missing dog. I opened the gate to see if he would leave and go home (he didn't). I finally called the pound to pick him up because my dog wouldn't go to bed with him on the deck (I felt so bad about that because I didn't know where he'd end up ... home or dead crossed my mind). They picked him up. He came back a few weeks later. I tied a note on his collar to ask his owners to call me with their number because he kept coming to my house to visit. I'm glad they did. They're not BAD owners. He jumps a 6' fence. The highest fence you can have in our area. I would hope my "neighbours" would do the same if my dog got out. While the owner says the dog roams and they're not ensuring he doesn't, is it acceptable to spray paint the dog?? I agree spray painting the dog was not a cool thing to do at all. No one should take out there frustration on animals ever! It was a very immature and they should just have called animal control and let them take care of it. It was the owners fault not the dogs. I wish more people would realize that. I just thought it was better than shooting the dog, trying to poison it, letting it get hit by a car. We used to here of that happening all the time when I volunteered at a shelter in high school. I remember someone going to court because a group of boys shot there loose golden retriever in "self defense" Fly like a girl

  18. I'm not quite sure yet. The breeder has been calling her Snowy and I kind of like that since it reminds me of a pony I had growing up. I was also thinking of calling her Slider or Katana since my boyfriend wanted something skydiving related or maybe Pilot since she will be flying with me quite a bit but, I want to see her in person before I make my final decision. 19. I'm flying up to Centralia, WA with Brianfry713 and my friend Jake to pick up my new furry family member, a female lilac point Siamese kitten. This will be my longest X-country so far. I'm going to make a slight diversion on the way up to fly over Crater lake and we are going to fly down the coast on the way home
  20. Sure, I have lots of friends and family that I love but, my boyfriend Brian is the only person I'm in love with. Fly like a girl
