My lips are sealed brian's parents live up that way so I'm sure I'll make it up there even if I don't get to ski. Plus I still like to play in the snow. I'll let you know when I'm coming up that way

Man! I'm so bummed I had to roll over my pass this year. I was planning on going most weekends. I still hope to get in some late spring skiing but, don't tell my doctor that Fly like a girl

Thank's for the replies everybody. I ended up ordering the olympus stylus 790. They sold me with the Shockproof, Waterproof, Freezeproof and Dustproof. Maybe I won't be able to kill it to soon Fly like a girl

It is the 790 waterproof too? Fly like a girl

I've been wanting to get a new digital camera for a while now. I decided to get one today because of all the online sales. I just have no idea what to get. There are so many to chose from. It has to be some what user friendly cause I'm not that tech savy. It will be just for personal use and doesn't need to be too fancy but, I'd still like good quality pictures. I would prefer the ones that can take AA batteries cause I was bummed when my battery charger broke in Europe last summer. I'm looking for one 300$ or less, preferably less. Got any suggestions? Anyone know anything about pet health insurance?
flygirl1 replied to Nightingale's topic in The Bonfire
Sorry again to hear about Anakin Nightingale I was wondering about getting insurance too after spending all that money on Katana. Let me know if you find any more info. I haven't found anyone that has had any personal experience with them yet. Fly like a girl -

Sadly enough I already have a handicap plack and it was up. It's also not a city street so I think they can do what ever they want with it but, I'll look into it. Maybe I can get them to put one in front of the guys home for him. Fly like a girl

I envision her set up in her front picture window behind a crack in the curtains with a set of high-powered binoculars and a note pad while 72 cats are shitting all over her house in between the stacks of old newspapers and magazines collected from the past 43 years. I never met an HOA that I liked. He he I actually envision her as a house wife with nothing better to do while her husband is at work and has no power over anything else in her life so she is exploiting the little she has now When we rushed out to stop the tow truck a well dressed lady was sitting in a green jaguar parked 100ft away just watching us and when Brian talked the driver in to letting him move the car she drove away. I have seen her bossing around the gardeners since then so I think she is the one in charge. Fly like a girl

Thanks

I agree. I wonder if she actually thinks about what she does or just "follows the rules" like a brain dead robot. Fly like a girl

How many cats does she have? Don't know but, I bet they are those grey and white persians that dig up everything I try to plant and his at my cats through the window. Fly like a girl

He he thats funny. I wish I knew which house was hers. I'd crutch up to her door and tell her how ridiculous I thought she was being. She never even came to notify us in person. She just wrote us fake tickets and when I called her, her "associate" told me she was told to tell me I cant park there and I need to clean out my garage so I can park in there(on crutches??? come on!) then she tried to to have our car towed early on a saturday morning. Luckily Brian herd it and rushed out in time to stop the tow truck Fly like a girl

For the most part they do a good job. We live on an old winery and they keep part of the old vineyard and the old winery building in great shape. They also keep up the front of everyones hous which have beautiful rosebushes and the park with a big garden and walking paths. This is really the first complaint I've had with them I'm going to get a copy of their constitution and read it. I don't think I have the energy to fight it now but, I'll look in to doing what I can to help the older man when I get a chance. Fly like a girl

Happy Happy Birthday Fly like a girl

Yeah I'm learning that now Brian has had the house for a while now and this is the only complaint I've had so far but, if we ever move it will not be to another place with a Homeowners' Associations. That's for sure Fly like a girl

I'm not sure how these things work either but, when I'm feeling better I think I'm going to go to the meetings and find out. I don't think have time to join the board but, I'll look in to it maybe I can do something. A lot of stuff they do is good but, this isn't right Fly like a girl

So the president of our housing development actually tried to have our car towed from the "guest" parking spot (that no one ever parks in) in front of our house even though it had a handicap parking plack up. I had even talked to her and told her we had broken our legs and couldn't walk and we weren't able to clean out our garage for our cars in the next few months. She actually said she couldn't let us park there since it was for guests only and she had already told a permanently handicap man he couldn't park in front of his house!! I'm not sure who her friends are but, none of mine would mind walking a few extra steps so a handicap man didn't have to BTW there is always street parking a few blocks away some times closer. Can you believe some people??? So now we have to crutch a few blocks if there is no parking close by trying to carry stuff while every spot on the street in front of our house sits empty just so someone with a little power can get her rocks off We will get better but, I feel bad for the poor handicap guy. I think I'll go to some of the community meetings when I get better and fight for him to get the right to park there. Sorry rant over I just had to vent! Fly like a girl

Brian and I might be able to come up

I'm so addicted to this game Brian bought it for us last week (right after he saw it on South Park) so we could have something to do while we are broken. He is actually sitting next to me right now playing Guitar Hero II which we got last night. He is playing on career mode unlocking more songs for us to play on co-op mode. He beat III and rock the 80's on medium solo and him and I beat them on easy co-op and easy and solo. I'm still working on medium and he is working on Hard. I feel like such a nerd now Fly like a girl
